Had high expectations but food overall very salty (one in our party sent her egg plant parm back and another ate little of her ravioli), noise level made table conversation impossible, but server/service quite good. Likely not go back.

Appetizer was very good but main entree and dessert was very disappointing. Service was good.
Disappointing.
Stuffed zucchini blossoms delicious! Cavatelli sausage rabe was just mediocre. The cheese ravioli also mediocre. Mini cannolis were bad. Way too thick cannoli shells, filling too loose.
Food takes a back seat to dreadful service.
Prior good reviews encouraged us to try Scopa. Things didn't go well right from the start as we struggled to locate the restaurant as the only sign on the building was for "Hot Yoga" - I guess they thought it was way cool to forego any identification of their place. The restaurant is very noisy and a disinterested host show us to a table. While the food was good it was very much overshadowed by terrible service. Our waiter disappeared after taking our order, appetizer dishes were never cleared and were actually left on the table when entrees were delivered. A potentially very pleasant experience was ruined by disinterest, poorly trained staff and a terrible atmosphere.
Great Food, Excellent Service, but Beware of Billing
Great Food, Excellent Service, but Beware of Billing Practices. I've been to La Scopa Italian restaurant in Venice Beach multiple times and always enjoyed the great food. Our waitress, Noelles, was fabulous, attentive, and provided excellent service. However, I had an issue with the billing process. The manager on duty, Irene, seemed inefficient, and the billing system needs improvement. The convenient tips calculator is misleading, as it includes tax in the total. This means you're essentially paying tips on taxes, which isn't fair. Additionally, there was a discrepancy in my bill. The total was $76 plus $7 tax, which should have been $83 even. However, I was charged $83.22, which is 0.22 cents more than expected. If this practice is applied to all guests and parties, it could result in a significant amount of extra revenue for the restaurant at the end of the year. I hope La Scopa addresses this issue soon to ensure transparency and fairness in their billing practices. Overall, the food and service were great, but the billing experience left a sour taste. I hope they rectify this issue to maintain their excellent reputation.
Scopa Italian - Not quite up to our expectation
We had watched Chef Lofaso in Tournament of Champions, and in TOC5 she was a finalist, losing to Maneet Chauhan. But her creativity was amazing! We had not remembered that we had been here for Mother's Day brunch in 2021! At 6:45 pm the place was quite full and buzzing - noise level was not too bad, even though there were lot of hard surfaces. I had the Sandia y Mezcal - mezcal, watermelon, lime, sugar, salt & pepper. On hindsight, I would have gone with something else since watermelon flavor is not a hot favorite of mine. My wife had the better East India Cocktail - cognac, maraschino, pineapple, lemon, bitters. The shared appetizer was the Crispy Squash Blossoms - ricotta, mozzarella, tomato, chili. Competently made, but not much more than that. The ricotta and mozzarella filling could have some spicing added to enhance the flavor. The tomato sauce was plain vanilla tomato sauce. The crisp and light batter on the squash blossoms was the only thing going for it! We shared a pasta dish – on the recommendation with the very friendly waiter - Creste Rigate - wild mushrooms, parmesan, dandelion greens, breadcrumbs. I was persuaded by the wild mushrooms, and the dandelion greens (it actually came with fiddlehead ferns - that is not updated on their web menu) – but besides being nice it was not something I would order again! Our main course was probably the best from my perspective - Roasted Chicken - creamed polenta, kale, calabrian chilies, shallots, maitake mushrooms. I always like a roasted chicken if there is good crispy skin. This dish came with a nice full leg and a breast portion of a small country chicken. The accompanying polenta and kale was fine as sides. The chicken was very flavorful, moist, and had a good flavor. We finished with a Sicilian Ice Cream Sandwich - hazelnut gelato, nutella, brioche bun. Obviously the hazelnut was what swayed my decision. Watching Chef’s creativity on TV is one thing, but setting expectations of that quality food was our error – in a service pantry with primarily chefs from south of the border, you cannot show that degree of creativity. We will not make that mistake again!
Scopa never misses.
The food is always excellent. Don't miss the whipped ricotta. The squid ink calamari is also amazing as is their pork chop. The vibe of the restaurant is great, always buzzing. Overall, it's always my pick for birthdays and special occasions.
Scopa is such an aesthetically pleasing restaurant! Stopped
Scopa is such an aesthetically pleasing restaurant! Stopped in for Friday night dinner and the lights were dim which made the lit up bar area look even nicer! We showed up a little earlier than our reservation and had drinks at the bar while we waited. Once we sat we had the Italian chopped salad and the crispy squash blossoms to start. The chopped salad was hearty and delicious. The crispy squash blossoms were one of the best appetizers I've had at an Italian restaurant! The delicate crisp of the flower paired with the rich and creamy ricotta inside and the tangy tomato sauce for dipping was just amazing! The penne was just okay in my opinion but my partner really enjoys his whole branzino. Great date night location!

Good food is always the minimum bar for a restaurant and Scopa goes above and beyond. Coupled with great service and ambience, this is definitely the spot to try an Italian meal.

Laying on the couch after coming home painfully full from Scopa Mama Mia I don't know where to start! The food was fantastic. Favorite dishes were the ricotta crostini and the creste rigate. Everything else was fantastic, those were just the most memorable. My next favorite items (in order from fav to least fav) were the rice ball, ricotta cheesecake, raw Brussel sprouts salad, fried calamari, and then the penne. The service was fantastic! Andres did a great job serving us and we got to speak with the manager, Chelsea, who was also lovely. I enjoyed the dim lighting and the general vibe of the restaurant. It was a bit loud, but that kind of added the the Italian family vibe they have going. I have to say, the most impressive thing was the playlist!

So I've lived in California for 17 years and this is officially the restaurant I've been to the most. I've lost track how many times, but this last time in particular may have been the best. The manager Chelsea, our waiter Andres and everyone making this food are to thank for this experience. We got so much but to name some stuff we got the ricotta crostini, rice ball, eggplant, Brussel sprout salad, tomatoes, fried calamari, penne pasta, mushroom pasta, ricotta cheesecake, chocolate panna cotta...and I mean every single thing was freaking PERFECT. We always make this a stop for anyone who visits and that habit is never going to stop.
The service is lovely and food is so yummy.
They have great gluten free options. They got our order wrong once and went above and beyond and we were so grateful.
Delicious Italian
A real show stopper and I am Italian skeptic if not on east coast. Pasta was al dente with a perfect amount of chew. Sauce was sweet, creamy and plenty of it. Meatballs were delicate and could be cut with spoon. Tiramisu was more soaked then I am use to but had pronounce coffee flavor that I enjoyed. Prices were great for being in playa Del Mar or anyway to be honest. Had a drink, oysters, pasta and desert all for $90. My own perfect tasting menu. Would highly recommend.
Excellent Italian Dining Experience!!
While staying in Marina Del Rey for a few nights we made reservations to come here for dinner… the menu looked amazing and the reviews are excellent, so it was an easy choice. Once there we loved the vibe and décor! Service was excellent too, the Somm working was very helpful and got us a great bottle, which we really enjoyed. We tried a few things and enjoyed each of them. The Scallops Oreganata were incredible, with a crust on top and the butter to highlight their perfect cooking temp! The Raw Brussels Sprouts was incredible! The brussels were shredded and the grapes added a nice, slightly sweet compliment to the salad’s vinaigrette!! Each course was just as good and we stayed for entrées and dessert too. We’ll definitely return and we would highly recommend stopping in, but make reservations first, this place got absolutely packed!
Magnificent - very cool
We really encourage to try this very cool place. Food, service, bar and atmosphere all fantastic. Menu is very thoughtfully considered. Obviously pasta is the main game (perfect lasagna). Make sure you make room for the pavlova for dessert!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
