JINKY'S CAFE Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Always passed and decided to stop in.
.. oh man, the food here is fantastic! The staff is very courteous, the ambience is cozy and the place is clean! Mmmm!

Hoping Jinky's not JANKY :) Located in a strip mall, this is my friend Mike's "go to" restaurant for breakfast or brunch. Clean, good breakfast fare that is delicious. I enjoyed my oatmeal with berries and my latte. My friend had the pumpkin pancakes that were delicious. Parking was easy and the waitstaff is friendly and lovely! I know it's a chain but it felt like so much more. I will remember to recommend this next time one of my valley friends wants to meet up with me! PS Jinky's definitely not JANKY, it's good! :)

This was such a cute and tasty place! We found street parking right in front. We sat, ordered, and ate. We didn't realize it was close to closing time. But not once we're we rushed out the door. The server was awesome, the food tasty, and decor was was fun. The pancakes omg yum!! I'm always looking for places with fun vibe. I lunch all over in my search too. Definitely will be back.

The food is amazing! No matter what breakfast we decide to get it never disappoints. From your simple pancakes and eggs which is what our kids eat to the elaborate breakfast menu that my husband and I choose. The service is always fast and the host and staff are always polite and friendly. This is definitely a family friendly place or if you just want dine solo the ambience serves everything in between. We haven't tried their new menu which is hung on the wall because we love their breakfast and that's all we ever go for.

Stopped in for a to go order while my car was being serviced next door. I went with my go to club sammich and it was just how I remembered it. Order was ready at the time promised and parking was easy. See you soon !
Stopped by on a recommendation for a breakfast.
Lots of good/bad/ugly reviews here, never been here before so can't comment on previous food quality portions and value, so will focus on the present. Arrived on a rainy Saturday at opening (8am) and like the old school clean wooden tables and booths. About 10 people came within 1/2 hour after me (the Golden Boot does it again). Looks like can sit about 60, 2 divided dining areas. Grabbed a booth and ordered: Side of chili=with beef it was good albeit cold had to send back to reheat. Nice homemade taste with ground beef as well as some tender shredded beef, solid. $3.00 for a cup. Would've be nice to have shredded cheese and onions, forgot to ask. The omelet with asparagus feta and mushrooms served open faced was a good portion and enjoyed it. Comes with potatoes option (decent) and 2 slices of toast. $20 All you can drink steel pot of coffee is $5 and a good one, can serve yourself over and over. Heather my terrific server even changed out pot after first pour to ensure hotness. And my oh my look at all those condiments on the table..no begging required appreciate that. From cholula to stevia to butter packets, jam, ketchup, tabasco, perfect. In all, enjoyed the food and service, might come back if in the area. Not cheap, but for the amount of food and location and all the free condiments, cannot complain, still this set me back about $35.00 all inclusive.

We got lucky on a Saturday and found street parking, the parking lot is a joke. No wait at noon. Hostess was pleasant, and so was our server. Inside was not appealing, looked thrown together and boring. Food was just so-so. $18 Cobb salad, tiny and ridiculous. Standard breakfast fare, but I will give kudos to their roasted potatoes. Over priced AND they have a "living wage" surcharge they tack on BEFORE the tax. Just raise your prices, or pay your servers a living wage! IHOP is across the street.
Wow, what a difference from the last visit we had here!!
Wow, what a difference from the last visit we had here!! We used to LOVE Jinky's, which was always a breakfast, or lunch,, staple for us & has been for years, but after today I can't say we will be back. First the good - our server (Jen) was EXCELLENT, and did everything she could to mitigate our disappointment, and she seemed to be the only server here & was pretty busy. Know, she is the ONLY reason they are getting 2 stars this time! Now for the food... I ordered the eggs & quinoa hash-browns with turkey bacon. When it was delivered the food runner handed me my plate, which felt cold to the touch & when I touched the hash-browns they were ice cold, so I sent them back. Our server apologized & offered to discount my meal. When it came back, it was warm & the eggs were cooked perfectly (poached). The turkey bacon was rubbery & was a texture that seemed as if it was cooked in a microwave, which led me to wonder if the entire plate was microwaved to heat up the hash-browns?! My husband ordered the California Sandwich, which he literally orders EVERY TIME we come here. What an incredible disappointment! There were LITERALLY 2 slices of turkey on this $18 sandwich! . The bread, which tasted the same, seemed to be thinner. Of course he sent the plate back and we noted that the sandwich didn't look anything like what he had ordered previously. Our server did get them to remake the sandwich, with extra turkey & let us know the restaurant was under new management. Well, hello new management, your portions are a complete rip off & you do not get what you pat for! Add to that the almost 4% "labor surcharge" and one of our staples is now being removed from the cycle!
Food and service was good, but way over priced.
Parking is also a problem, best to go on off hours.

It makes me so sad to write this review when this spot used to be one of my favorite places to have breakfast. The only reason I won't give a 1 star review is because of the service. Our waitress was amazing. The food quality here used to be amazing but it's horrible now. We ordered club sandwich and an eggs Benedict. The Benedict didn't taste good at all and the potatoes were stale and had the worst flavor. They don't taste anything like they used to. I remember a time you would go in around noon and it would be at least an hour wait but now it's dead inside. The food is so bad and the prices are ridiculous. We paid $52 for just these two items and a 15% tip. On top of it we had an almost 4-% surcharge for the employees. Like don't they already calculate that into the price of the food??? Sadly, I won't be going back again and I wouldn't be surprised if this location closes.
