Friendly service and the food was very good.
Somewhat of a hidden gem. Great area for launch viewing.

Prices aren't bad. Biscuits and gravy are my husband's favorite.
Be the first to ReplySitting outside was nice.
The servers worked hard but I feel like they could have used help. The home fries needed more cooking and flavor. I am saying a maybe here because we need to go back and try the lunch.
Be the first to ReplyWent for breakfast and enjoyed this cozy restaurant.
Got the 2 egg classic breakfast and it was delicious. The biscuits are huge. The waitress was very helpful with places to go to see rocket launches. Service was fast and she was very friendly.

Wonderful place! Had breakfast looking out over the waterway! Jessica was spot on with coffee, and breakfast options! The biscuit were stellar!! (Toast options are offered, but if you like fresh biscuits.... Was camping nearby and had heard about this place, was a delicious dinner!!

We are locals, and tried for the first time the Water's Edge Cafe. We will be back! Family from GA had tried it while staying at Jetty Park and loved it. Quiet outdoor seating with views of the boats/rockets coming in and out of the Port. Indoor seating also, just off the bait shop. Very clean! Limited menu but with excellent food quality. I had the Shrimp PoBoy, my husband had the blackened mahi. Both with delish perfect fries. Dad had the Country Fried Steak with biscuits & gravy. And a bowl of fresh fruit. Our waitress Brittany, was friendly and fast. Excellent service. Quality food. Peaceful location. One of Cape Canaveral's best but unknown breakfast/brunch places. Spread the word! P.S. You don't have to enter Jetty Park. Down by the boat ramps with plenty of parking!

Just the place where people can launch their boat. I was a little upset. Cute fishing shop tho.

Cute little place added on to the side of the bait and tackle shop. We did a brisk 10 minute walk from the Holiday Inn Resort to get there. There was a sign showing service may be slower because of extra customers there to see the rocket launch. (the same reason we were there) Entertaining to sit on the deck and watch all of the boats being launched, ships going out, and the bonus of seeing the rocket launch. Also saw dolphins. We ordered basic breakfast foods, pancakes, eggs, French toast, and an omelette. Everything was good. Coffee and iced tea were refilled before totally empty, and that is a + for me; I don't like an empty glass. Minimal employees but everyone was friendly. I plan to go back while I'm around, and probably try the shrimp and grits.

Great food, great view, great service! We have been there for breakfast a few times, and we are looking forward to trying lunch. The cafe is located in side the bait and tackle shop at the boat launch. It is NOT in Jetty Park. Sit outside and enjoy the boat traffic going by.

Very rude staff as you walk in the lady at the front door register not welcoming at all. We said good morning she gave us a look like we didn't belong there and then we asked the server at the entrance of the cafe the wait time she said 40-50 minutes we said we would wait. She continued on with her business righting up checks. After several min I asked her do we wait for someone else to take our name down and she rolled her eyes and aid I can take it down but she just wrote it on her check book and kept on. Didn't acknowledge the Bj where if people in the party. We knew she would not be calling us. We ended up leaving. They definitely don't deserve my hard earned money.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location on the water.
Not a fancy restaurant but you get a good breakfast for a fair price. We dined on the patio. This restaurant is also a fishing/bait shop. If you were looking for a Mom and Pop breakfast, this is the place.
Be the first to ReplyI ate breakfast here before getting on a cruise ship.
Even after all the free food I had on the cruise ship the breakfast I ate here was the best food I had all week. I would 100% recommend the omelet and the blackened shrimp! I didn't get the grits with the shrimp but man the shrimp was

Small and very clean, with a distant white sound from the boats and workers around. The service was a 10! Very personable, the waitress was ready to accommodate my request. Food was good as well.

Awesome food for a great price!! Grits and shrimp are amazing and so is the chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. They have good mimosas too!

The food was very good, and priced right for the portion size. The staff was friendly, but the service was a little slow. It makes sense, if you consider what their kitchen size and staff is. We would definitely come back!
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great breakfast prior to leaving on a cruise.
Sat outside and was entertained by all the people at the boat ramp.

I don't recommend this place! Not friendly staff! I was not allowed to enter the store with a dog (Chihuahua) in my arms! To my clarification that I have a service dog service and you are violating state law by forbidding me to enter your store, the store staff replied "I don't care!"
Be the first to ReplyI was pleasantly surprised by this place.
Considering it's inside Jetty Park and is the only option within walking distance to the fishing pier and the beach, I was expecting much so when I took a bite of the breakfast burrito: WOW. I saw some reviews that said the breakfast burrito was too spicy or too bland but I didn't find that at all. I actually added hot sauce to mind and added the salsa and sour cream that came on the side. I order the shrimp and grits to go which came with a biscuit and that too was delicious. I tend to like my shrimp and grits with a sauce but there was so much flavor that you really didn't need. Definitely coming back to this spot. Service was a little slow but the food is made to order and is piping hot, just the way I like it. Despite the slow service, I would definitely come back. The waitress I had was super fr and attentive.
Be the first to ReplyWent there for brunch with the family.
While the selection was rather eclectic, the food was good. ย The view and atmosphere were great and inviting. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. All in all, for the money the brunch is not bad, but next time I go, we will be ordering a la carte.

5 Stars****Hidden Gem****I have this buddy from high school who use to go deep fishing with his dad and brother in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico every year. He told me that one year the fish just weren't interested and that he and his brother were looking at the bait bucket and getting hungry. They were using Japanese Mackerel for bait, otherwise known as Aji at a Sushi joint (one of their favorites). One mention of this to the patriarch and before you know it the three of them were chowing down on the bait. The crew looked on in stunned silence as the three of them scarfed the whole bucket down in a matter of minutes. Why do I bring this up? Well, that was what I was thinking when the name of the next place appeared on my random name generator Water's Edge Cafe and Tackle Shop. This place had been and still is a tackle shop. Back in 2017, someone got the bright idea to forage into the foodservice industry and opened a cafe attached to the bait shop. Upon entering, I felt like I was in the local Walmart as they had just about everything needed for fishing of any kind for sale all over the place. This is some tackle shop! However, the items for sale seemed to have been at least partly venal as they had 3 tables open, three waiters and I sat for four minutes (which is an eternity in an empty place). I was finally shown a table and handed a menu. The cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch with limited operating hours. The menu was, as you can see, varied without being too visionary. Hey, if it's your first foray into the biz, I always say, "keep it simple."My waitress was Kelsey and I am on a roll lately with wait staff as she has a great personality and just oozes gregariousness. I asked her for some shrimp and grits along with an order of Corned beef hash. As she left to turn in my order, I took the time to look about. The place has gorgeous views of a cruise ship today and the waterway every day.Returning with my order, Kelsey asked if I needed anything else then left me to enjoy my meal along with the aforementioned view. The grits were fresh, creamy and cooked to perfection while I found the shrimp to be tender and succulent on the palate. The Corned beef hash was obviously made with care and was bursting with flavor while I found the home fries to be made to order and entirely delectable. The biscuit was also made to order and would make any Grandma double-check her recipe.Honestly, I went in expecting a thoroughly milquetoast tasting experience and came away completely in love with the place. This is our first Hidden Gem since the post-Covid return of The Big Boy and I can't recommend the place enough. In truth, the only downside was that everything was served in take-out containers (no doubt due to Covid). The Big Boy says, "If you are in need of anything having to do with harvesting fish out of water or yearning for some fantastic food, the Water's Edge Cafe and Tackle Shop should be your go-to place!"
