Una Pizza Napoletana New York Reviews from The Last Year
Top level craftmanship at its best
I hope everyone has the capacity to appreciate the nuances in this pizza that make it so special
Pizza made from fresh limited dough.
They have limited dough per night so if reservations are filled, there is no walk-in seating. The menu alcohol list was much longer than the food, which may be reflective of where they place priority. Pizza was good but not great. Friendly service but the room was way too warm. Sweating uncomfortably.
The hours are wild, with only a few days open.
It's really hard to get a reservation, but I succeeded. We went in and had some great wine and even better pizza. The ambiance isn't cute italian, but rather very straight forward pizzeria. The menu is VERY limited, but that doesn't mean you should be concerned because really the pizza in this case is about the dough. It is the best dough i've ever had outside of Napoli. I was so happy as I ate the pizza even though I couldn't get the toppings I wanted, and that was weird. I though the special pizza was going to be the best, it wasn't. The margherita pizza with pepperoni is the way to go, but you really should get one pizza per person - I don't think they'll give you more than that. The desserts are just like the wines - really great deals and really wonderful. Get whatever they have as dessert that day, and maybe see if you can get an extra pizza too, unlikely you'll get a second reservation anytime soon.

- Showed up at 4:45 on a cold winter day without reservation managed to procure a table I had to agree to leave by 6:45p No scene, I was done by 6:30p - sweet peppers were delicious - friendly service with great recos - wine bottles are a good deal - pizza dough was some of the best bread I ever had in my life - pepperoni complemented the margherita pizza - all the desserts looked delicious - the honey wine dessert tasted like alcoholic honey - special pizza was good, marg was better
The pizza toppings are scant, leaving me yearning for more
The pizza toppings are scant, leaving me yearning for more meaty goodness. Yet, I get it--it's their bold stance to create pizzas that are simple, plain, and undeniably the best. The game-changer? The dough. Unlike any other pizza joint, they didn't strive for a crispy crust. Instead, it's a dance of super chewy yet soft, as if each pie carries the distinct hand pressure of its maker. With such great food, does it matter if the service and ambiance is good or not?
Amazing pizza.
Totally worth the hype and also the difficulty reserving through conventional methods. You have to reserve your dough in advance so it's one pizza per person. If you ask super nicely sometimes they have an extra dough ball left--better luck with this later in the night probably. But great wine selection to go with the pizzas, including an intriguing sparkling red.
This is quite a lovely pizza.
As others are saying, definitely get here 15ish minutes early if you don't have a reservation, and being seated at 5 pm when they open should not be a problem. The menu is very uncomplicated which I love - just 4-5 different pizzas, that all have a vegetarian base and swap out an ingredient here or there. I love that - the simplest menus are often the best. Opting for the margherita pizza, a classic Neopolitan style, I chose to get the peppers on top as well. Great call! They are a bit spicy & salty so be warned, but definitely packed the punch that took this pizza to the next level. The oil they use is so rich and incredible, and the crust was really superb. A bit messy of a pizza to eat given how much oil it felt went into it, but no doubt of the highest quality. Really it seems like you cannot go wrong with any of their pizzas, so enjoy!
I had heard about this pizza place by word of mouth, and
I had heard about this pizza place by word of mouth, and living close by, decided to wait outside one Friday afternoon for a walk-in table. I arrived at around 4:40 pm and there were 2 parties ahead. By the time the restaurant opened at 5 pm, there were probably 5-10 parties behind us as well. We were able to be seated in the corner as a group of 3. For drinks, we opted to share a bottle of sparkling red which was pretty good. Food-wise, we were told we should order 3 pizzas (although honestly I think 2 would've been plenty, as we had almost a whole pizza leftover). The pizzas we got were the Margherita, Filetti, and Special. One of us liked the Filetti the most, and the other two the Special. While the pizzas were good, I hate to say that I've had better Neopolitan-style pizzas. I think this is a good neighborhood spot, but not a place I'd queue up to get a seat at.
TLDR: Worth the wait!! Una Pizza is definitely in my top
TLDR: Worth the wait!! Una Pizza is definitely in my top 5 pizza spots in the city. If you love Neopolitan style pizza then you have to visit here. Their margherita is uncomplicated and perfectly done. The crust is light and airy with a good amount of crunch and their sauce is unmatched.
Finally got a reservation here and glad I did! If you like
Finally got a reservation here and glad I did! If you like napolitan type pizza this is your place. You can only order one pizza per person unless you request more in advance. The margherita with pepperoni was delicious. The crust is chewy and soft but also holds together. So good. The marinara is underrated and was the best one we had. Appetizers weren't anything special. Burrata was good but nothing special. Wouldnt reorder the peppers either. Service was excellent and made for a pleasant experience. Highly recommend for the pizza.
Finally got a reservation after months, and it was well
Finally got a reservation after months, and it was well worth it. Tied for #1 in the world for Neapolitan style pizza - it's a well deserved ranking. Not only is the crust fluffy and airy but the toppings - wow, it's spectacular! In a city where thin crust is king and as a thin crust enthusiast myself, this place really sets itself apart. Margherita with long hot peppers - The peppers is a must add as it adds some great flavor and heat. The Special Pizza - 10/10. Rotates weekly. The toppings felt daunting - yellow raisins, capers, olives, lettuce. But it was the perfect saltiness and combination - surprisingly satisfying and a delight to the taste buds. Our waitress was helpful, gave solid recommendations from the wine list to accompany our meal. Ambiance is amazing - intimate, full view of the brick oven in the back to see pizza come in and out. A great experience (if you can get a reservation).
Great food
We showed up as walk-ins. We were there half an hour early and got a table. The food was really delicious. Fantastic pizza and really outstanding desserts. Will definitely come back again.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Give the best answerNewbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
