This place was very convenient to everything! It was a few blocks from the Empire State Building, K-town, Madison Square park and more! It was a beautiful stay and the suites were very spacious and had stunning views. I will say it was definitely an experience and a classy stay! Would recommend!

.. the lobby is already cosy and so very well taken care of. The staff is really attentive and well trained. The drinks are good at the beautiful bar downstairs but wait until you get upstairs to see the Nubeluz. It's mindblowing. The setting, the light... I sat on the bar and couldn't believe this is real. I guess this is the perfect spot for a romantic night out. MUST GO!

This is now my second time staying at the Ritz Carlton in Nomad and I absolutely loved it. Great location great service and the roof top bar is amazing. Special shout out to Joy & John the concierge they were amazing and helped me get dinner reservations. Also the service was top notch and appreciated the beautiful cupcake and champagne for my friends bday

What an incredible and beautiful property. They partnered with Jose Andres for all their food and beverage outlets, the food was excellent property wide. The hospitality from everyone was superb. The house car was clean and I cannot remember the drivers name to save my life, but he was wonderful. Derrick at the door was also a gem in a haystack. I slept so good as the room was the perfect temperature, the bed was comfy and it was silent. I can't wait to come back to the city and I will definitely choose the Ritz Nomad for another well nights rest.

Nasty attitudes . Mean on the phone too (when you get to speak to an actual human) .

While I usually refrain from leaving negative reviews, my recent experience at this Ritz-Carlton has left me quite disappointed. As a loyal Titanium member of Marriott, I've frequented various Ritz locations and 5-star hotels globally. Though I'm understanding about room upgrades, the delay in the manager's response - three days - was concerning. More so, despite my wife's pregnancy and our repeated room service requests for a well-done meal, it consistently arrived undercooked. Definitely safety issues here. A particular incident where I was mistaken for an Uber Eats driver when asking for water was disheartening. As a doctor and a successful entrepreneur with 8 figure annual revenue businesses, being misjudged due to my appearance felt disrespectful. Moreover, our key cards malfunctioned, including the mobile app key, requiring three security calls for resolution. Considering the Ritz's premium pricing, I expected a superior and luxurious experience. The service fell below par, leaving me hoping for improved staff training. I'm disheartened by the possibility of any discriminatory behavior.

Disappointing Experience at Ritz Carlton NoMad - Far Below Expected Standards As a family of five, we recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton NoMad for a three-night family reunion and birthday celebration. We are Marriott Bonvoy Gold Members and have stayed in over ten Ritz Carlton properties through the Amex find hotels program. Our experience at this particular property, however, was deeply disappointing and distressing. From the onset, we faced unwarranted suspicion and disrespect, particularly from a security guard named Edward Hanes. He followed us from the entrance to our rooms, scrutinizing us as if we were not legitimate guests, despite our confirmed bookings. His unprofessional conduct continued in the lobby, where he made us feel unwelcome and repeatedly questioned our guest status. The mistreatment extended to my three adult children, who were confronted by the same security guard and rudely told to leave the lobby, a public space, with no justification. This confrontation occurred under the watch of other hotel employees, who did not intervene. The following day, another hotel employee instructed us to leave the lobby unless we were purchasing something from the restaurant. This directive was inconsistent and seemingly discriminatory, as other guests were allowed to remain without question. Moreover, my wife was approached and told to turn off her phone under the mistaken belief she was taking pictures, even though she was simply making a phone call. This incident further highlights the targeted and disrespectful treatment we received during our stay. In addition to these negative interactions, we discovered unsanitary conditions under the mattress in our room, which appeared to be urine stains. We reported this to the hotel, but it was just another in a series of disappointments. We chose the Ritz Carlton for its reputation for luxury and exemplary service, expecting a special experience in line with the premium price of $2000 per night per room. Unfortunately, our experience was far from luxurious or respectful. Instead, we were made to feel like second-class guests, unwelcome and disrespected. This stay at the Ritz Carlton NoMad was not only a letdown but also an upsetting experience, leading us to reconsider our loyalty to the brand. We hope this feedback prompts the hotel to reevaluate its customer service and treatment of guests to ensure no one else experiences what we did.

As avid travelers my man and I were just talking about our fave hotel/staff being The peninsula in Tokyo until we came here for a quick getaway. From the lively, genuine greeting when arriving to the most professional, yet, extremely nice gentlemen that checked us in-Matthew! He was attentive and gave us a beautiful skyline room for our anniversary. He not only acknowledged our anniversary but also complimented us as a couple. Who doesn't like compliments?! And now let me tell you about their amazing concierge. These guys know what they are talking about. Based on answers to a few questions they had amazing itineraries for our stay. They were hip and up to date on what's going on in the city. The hotel has a couple restaurants to choose from that have an upbeat ambiance. The rooftop lounge is a beautiful backdrop for a romantic sunset drink and some photos to frame. We had to know who manages such an extremely run operation at this particular property. The answer is Carla Carvalho, the guest relations manager. We met her and automatically knew she was a rockstar. She was giving out lemonade and had a wonderful aura about her. You can tell she is an experienced manager with a gift of hiring and training awesome people. This is a cohesive team with good synergy. I'm not sure why this place only has 3 1/2 stars don't snooze check this place out. Definitely a 5 star hotel and this is from a couple that travel 5 months out of the year.

What a beautiful hotel! Service is impeccable from being greeted at the entrance to the special touches from housekeeping thank you Monika and Lhadoh for making his birthday's celebration that much more special. My favorite place to stay when traveling is the RITZ! Halfmoon Bay has one of the most outstanding RITZ around besides Kapalua , Hawaii. And now Nomad, Nomad is off the beaten path, staff could be kinder to those that want to get to the rooftop, especially locals. Rooftop is SUPERB once you're there, but ladies that get you there should be kinder and dressed into something that fits them. Many don't look comfortable in the gold dresses! Dining experience is outstanding - this RITZ comes below the typical RITZ as it needs a lot of improvement as they just opened. Its not your typical RITZ experience, hopefully they get it up there. And would recommend to all to see ROOFTOP!

Enjoyed our long weekend stay here and didn't realize it is a pretty new hotel. Great area with lots of restaurants nearby. Also enjoyed the Manhattan view - never gets old.

Coming back to this location for the views and of course the location in the next few days. I like the entrance, gives off hidden but not so hidden vibes. Location is great and the No noise from the NY traffic and street. Win, Win! The staff was gracious and the service was great. I was able to check in early at 10am instead of the usual 4pm check in. I was also offered an upgrade to the high level floor with gorgeous views. I enjoyed the downstairs bar owned by Jose Andres. The menu currently has small bites to include caviar and lobster roles; just to name a few.

We stopped by to try to have a drink or two at their rooftop bar. We checked with the hostess and she looked us up and down and told us they were full since we didn't have a reservation. I felt it was because we weren't dressed like we were going to a nightclub but that was just the impression I got. We went to the other bar in the lobby and it took forever to take our order and even longer to get our drinks. We are Marriott Titanium members and have never felt so uncomfortable at a hotel of a chain we have used for years. Suffice to say we won't be coming back.

Had an awesome five nights stay with my family over the holidays! From the bell hop to the concierge, and definitely the staff that helped keep our room clean and stocked up every day. It's such a beautiful, modern hotel which is unlike most of the classic looking Ritz Carltons that we've been to. The roof top bar was gorgeous and the bar tender I had there was very attentive and even kept an eye out for an open seat for me. There were a few nuances I had like trying to get a table at the Nubeluz (rooftop bar). I know it was reservations only, but due to miscommunication I thought staying at the hotel would've been easier to grab a table last minute. The hostess was kind enough to get me in at the bar, but after looking around there were so many tables empty it kind of made me sad I couldn't just sit and enjoy the view. That being said, sitting at the bar gave me an opportunity to have a super attentive bar tender that made me some pretty good drinks! One issue that still left a poor impression was the lobby bar tender that hit me with a $27 bulleit boulevardier... I mean, yes I get it. I ordered something not on your menu; but hitting me with ones of the higher prices for a bulleit boulevardier? Eeesh... let's just say, I never went back and avoided that bar tender for the rest of my stay. I still tipped him fairly well (20%), but sure wasn't 30% on five drinks like the guy at Nubeluz. Lol! I wanted to go back to Nubeluz again and called in ahead of time, but they still told me reservations were all full for the evening, so I just saved my money for the rest of my stay. Lol! That being said, the little nuances were more issues with their F/B so I wouldn't knock the hotel on that. The hotel staff were super gracious and always greeted my little 2yo everytime they saw her, and that made her feel super special so that's all that counts, right?
Be the first to ReplyOverall we had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Ritz NoMad.
The staff were amazing, specifically the Concierge. So helpful and always took the extra step to help with reservations, tips on things to do in the city as well as insights on good eats. A day didn't go by where we didn't chat up the concierge. The cleaning staff were amazing and kept the room spotless. It seems the hotel prioritized style over function. Everything looks fantastic and modern but not completely functional. As others have mentioned, the elevator is a cool idea (you program your floor before getting on the elevator using a keypad - no buttons in the elevator) but the programming is tricky - especially after having a few drinks, so you could end up on a random floor. The faucets in the bathroom are too low in the sink and we constantly hit our fingers on them which actually hurts a little. The shower leaked on the bathroom floor so we had to use several towels to keep from getting wet. The couch in the room was the most useless/uncomfortable piece of furniture I've ever come across. Lastly, the bar cabinet in the room looks great but takes up a lot of space in the corner and blocks the amazing view. All these things aside, we would stay here again. As a side note, the rooftop bar is a must and has fantastic views of the city/Empire State Building , but make a reservation otherwise you'll be out of luck.

We had a lovely stay at the Nomad but they seem to be working through a few kinks. The elevators do not seem to be programed well and were a bit slow. Room wise, everything is sleek / new but there were a few things that were not ideal. The faucet is so close to the sink that you end up touching the sink when washing your hands and splashing a lot of water out of it. The shower seemed to leak water around into the toilet area. It was not apparently clear how to turn off the mini bar light so we had a light glow all night as we slept. The bed was comfortable, service was good/friendly, and we had a nice city view. The bar is gorgeous with ample sitting areas.

My first time in this Ritz Carlton lobby bar experience was great and looking forward to go back for another great evening. However, tonight that my friends and I are going a drink at the lobby bar. When we are having a second round of drinks. The music in the lobby was turn the volume really loud and i can't hear any conversation with my friends just sit near to me. So, I asked waitress to ask them to turn the volume lower. At least, I don't have to shout out our conversation in the lobby. I did request for the second times for the same thing. Basically, she told me you should just write a review on the lobby bar for the matter and she can't do nothing about it. She was complete disaster for the experiences with the name of the Ritz Carlton.
Be the first to ReplyThe worse system of elevator.
I got stuck 30 minutes on 29 floors. All computerized which nothing you can do with 3 elevators trying to go down. If there is FIRE going on, you will die in the floor!!!! They priorities the roof top party than the guess who paid a lot of money for the room. Bad service to client!!! And this should be inform to the City for their fire escape etc. if anything happen and the computerized elevator is not working!!! BAD SERVICE!!!
