The Kitchen & Pink Flamingo Lounge Palm Springs Reviews from The Last Year
BEST VIEWS AND SERVICE!!!
Beautiful property and wonderful associates, especially Veronica Bush. Veronica made my stay one of the best stays I've ever had. She is a true gem & the property is extremely lucky to have such an amazing ambassador of hospitality. I mentioned I was traveling for my birthday. On my email correspondence, I let the guest services team know that I LOOOOOVE palm trees, and kindly asked if they'd consider ensuring my room had a view of a palm tree or two. Palm trees have always made me happy. Veronica replied and said she'd work on something special for me. She let me know she was going on her days off and when she came back, she would look at the inventory and let me know. To my surprise, Veronica upgraded me to a Signature Suite! When I arrived, I was able to check-in early - thank you! I also was greeted by a phone call after check-in from Veronica, where she asked if I'd be in the room because she had a surprise for me. To my delight, here came a birthday balloon, champagne with 4 flutes (she remembered my friends were joining me!), a beautifully written birthday message on a dessert plate, and charcuterie - my favorite. She also left me a handwritten note that wished me a happy birthday, and ensured the view of the palm trees were to my liking.Veronica's gestures came at a time where I needed them the most, and they will never be forgotten. Thank you again to Veronica for making my stay incredible, and for truly having a heart of gold. My trip to your property will never be forgotten!
Dated hotel, do not recommend staying here
I do not recommend staying here. The rooms are incredibly dated and need a massive upgrade. The restaurants (Rockwood Grill and Mikado) are TERRIBLE. The mini golf course is really just a putting green (no fun obstacles that the kids would like). The arcade is kinda depressing. Even the tennis courts are pretty mediocre. The lobby area and grounds are nice, but the room and amenities are below average.
Tennis Paradise
We went during the Indian Wells Tennis tournament in March. Loved that the hotel had a complementary shuttle service running to and from the tournament. Spent two days at the tournament, and spent another two days playing at tennis facilities at the resort. They had a nice selection of classes, and their tennis pros gave phenomenal private lessons. Everyone there was incredibly nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend!
The best well-run tennis clinic experience
The accommodations were fabulous - very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and hard working. We enjoyed all the nearby restaurants and I especially enjoyed taking tennis clinics with the staff at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Jim Leupold is one dedicated pro there along with his staff. I worked with Josh Warrilow and he was fantastic. We would have all age groups and all levels and Josh was able to accommodate all of us! He made it so much fun and we learned so much. Every day of the week you can sign up for different areas you may want to work on like Net Play, Ground Strokes, Serves, Doubles Strategy. It was a fun way to meet people from all over too. The place is a first class facility and the receptionist - Paula was a delight! Thanks again Josh for the great lessons and clinics. You are a wonderful Coach!!
Tennis and JW Marriott Resort
We stayed one week And had a fabulous experience. We were watching the tennis tournament and playing tennis at the PBI tennis center on the JW Marriott property. I attended clinics and drill sessions, Josh was the instructor and he definitely upped my game in many ways. Thank you Josh and PBI! I highly recommend the program.
A JW NIGHTMARE
Our family stayed at your property on Friday, April 6, and had an inferior experience. Before writing reviews on online sites, we wanted to reach out to express our disappointment before doing so. I will start with the first day. I had called before arrival to confirm my room requests. The person answering for reservations, Ariana, told me that I shouldn’t have waited until the last minute, and she was not sure these could be accommodated the same day. I said my allergies were severe, and they had to be, or I couldn’t stay here. I asked for a manager, and she said there wasn’t one and gave me a number. She refused to transfer me and had an attitude. I called the other number and told them I needed a feather and fragrant-free. She quickly said it was fine but asked no other questions. I’m very used to hotels being super friendly and accommodating, especially when paying $1,000 a night total in fees. I felt I was an inconvenience, and it wasn’t a very confident feeling where I was staying. To make matters worse, when we checked in at 5 pm, the line was long, and only ONE front desk person, Alyssa, was working. I’ve never heard of such a thing when so busy. When we finally got to check in, I confirmed my allergy requests, and she quickly nodded. I also asked her if we could kindly add our Marriott rewards account to our room, which she said she couldn’t do. Again, I felt more like a rushed customer than staying at a nice resort. We were so hungry from a long drive, so I decided not to worry about the account being added. I asked about dinner options, and she said hotel guests could walk in, as I had previously asked and wanted to confirm. I then asked her how to get to the elevator to the room and certain locations since that info wasn’t offered. I could tell she was trying to hurry to the long line behind me. This wasn’t fair to anyone as we didn’t get the service we deserved, and she was left handling a long check-in line alone. We decided to go on to the room and get the kids settled. While getting lost to our room, we found nobody to help for guidance, and we were never offered help with our bags this entire time. We were struggling. When we got to the room, I entered to a strong smell. I immediately opened the patio door to air it out. The room was not prepped for my requests. I had asked for an air filter or fan on the phone as well, and that was not there. We let it be since we were exhausted and hurried off to dinner. I will not even detail how we were treated at the restaurants, but there was no accommodation for hotel guests at the time. I did stop by the front desk to let the manager, Kara, know that her guests had nowhere to eat, and I also mentioned the room requests not being made. Her only suggestion was to make reservations for the future due to being booked out through April. Instead of guiding us to a restaurant to ensure we were fed, she suggested we leave the property and go to Morton’s. We had a $100 credit for dinner and were told hotel guests wouldn’t have a problem being accommodated, so we didn’t think this was a problem. We have stayed at JW before and never had a problem getting dinner, especially when paying this rate. It was so upsetting, and we roamed the property for an hour trying to find food. We finally sat at a bar and waited for food at one of the lobby restaurants. Anyways, that was so frustrating. It was quite late when we finally got fed and got to bed. Now to the bedroom part. We wanted to leave the patio door open due to the fragrant smell, but it was too loud all night. We woke up with horrific allergies, blowing our nose along with the extremely uncomfortable bedding and pillows that never stayed properly fit into the mattress. Also, a light blinked all night, and our son could not sleep. Then we were woken by the hotel alarm clock at 6 am! This needs to be checked by housekeeping. Since we were all abruptly woken, we decided to check out early and leave. My husband and daughter packed up while I took my son to breakfast with awful service (our drinks never came), and there was a hair in the buffet eggs (photo taken). My breakfast was not made according to my allergies and had to be remade, so I waited a long time for that as well. I do have to say the server was super apologetic and said she was super busy. That was kind. We have never been so eager to leave a hotel properly. We never used one amenity but rushed to leave. This is not how a stay at a JW Marriott should be. We have stayed at many locations and never had this kind of experience with customer care. it was quite shocking. I don’t have time to write this email, but it was so awful that I wanted to write all the reviews. I have never taken time to leave a review like this, but the lack of care blows me away, and I hope nobody experiences what our family did. I have also never left a hotel room so early in the morning. We usually want to stay longer and use the amenities, especially when paying these prices. My husband travels with Marriott every month and has been loyal for decades. This is such a shock and disappointment. We hope someone finally takes our experience seriously and can make it right for any future Marriott stays.
Tired and overpriced
The hotel is not in good condition and has seen better days. The rooms are worn out and have a Motel flair, with cold tobacco smell and dusty carpeds. The food and drinks at the hotel are expensive and exaggerated. I would not suggest staying at this hotel.
A gem in the Desert
I am writing this as we are enjoying our last few days here. When we arrived at the hotel, I was a bit skeptical as there was no one at the front to greet us or take our bags. I thought “this place is a large convention type hotel and probably has terrible service”. Boy was I wrong. Every single staff person we have met over the last few days has been as accommodating as one would want. The property is immaculate. It is so large you wonder how management can keep it so clean; but they do. It’s a beautiful setting and the rooms are large and comfortable. The reason I was moved to write this review is something that happened yesterday. I got pretty sick yesterday and found myself not able to do much but stay in the room and rest. Last night I called in-room dining and asked if they might have chicken noodle soup by chance. The woman who answered explained that they did not have any but since I wasn’t feeling well, they would be happy to make some from scratch….and they did … and it was scrumptious. I never would have expected that. On top of that when the soup was delivered, there was a hand written card wishing me to feel better. It was signed Kayla and Carmen. That was very very special and made me smile in spite of how I felt. Whoever is in charge of training the staff at this wonderful property, you are doing an outstanding job. We will be back.
Pickleball Haven
Best part of our trip was the pickleball lessons with Linda Paulding. She accommodated both our levels! Her coaching style is perfect and really enjoyed it! Repeated the following day! Picked up skills that will last a lifetime! The courts are A+!
Huge resort hotel
It was a very large hotel, and there were many families, so it seemed family-friendly. I stayed with my son who was just over one year old, and it was generally a comfortable and good stay. This time, it was the middle day of a three-day weekend, and this was a points stay, so unfortunately we were not upgraded and the view was not very good, but the room itself was comfortable. The building is old, but the bathroom has been renovated and is very clean. We stayed in February, and the maximum temperature was about 23 degrees, but it was warm, and there were more people using the pool than I expected. I didn't bring a swimsuit because I thought there would be no opportunity to swim, so I regret it a little. Thanks to being an elite member of Marriott, the breakfast buffet was free. Thanks to the friendly waitress, I was able to eat breakfast in a good mood. I was grateful that they gave my child some coloring books.
Awful stay! Awful hotel! This is not a luxury resort!
I have stayed at many Marriott hotels/resorts and I’m at a loss for words. We arrived today and this place is absolutely NOTHING as advertised. I don’t know what billion plus dollar renovation they are talking about. This place is outdated, filthy, dingy, smells bad like old grease and rooms are gross! We arrived today around 2:30, got a room, walked super far to get to it and it was absolutely atrocious! I went back to lobby to get a decent room and asked for a room without old gross carpeting and was told they don’t have any. I got another room and walked in and the room is dirty, stains on sheets and smells terrible. Do NOT stay here. I’m stuck here for next 4 nights and I’m beyond disappointed. I will NEVER stay here ever again. Oh and the best management could do was offer to remove the resort fee. I should have booked the Ritz but chose this place for the amenities but honestly this place is awful. Do yourself a favor and book anywhere but here!
Amazing Customer Service
Enedina, Tammy and Oliver are exceptional at Marriott Palm Desert. This property is amazing, but the people that work there are so professional, friendly and accommodating. Don't stay anywhere else when you are visiting or vacationing in the Palm Springs / Palm Desert area.
Disappointed First Visit
This review is based on my front desk experience, Elite benefits and the condition of our suite. Prior to my arrival, I utilized the chat feature in the app asking if there would be any upgrades available based on my status(I'm Lifetime Platinum and a yearly Titanium member). Upon actual arrival, the JW is a beautiful property. Until today I had only stayed at the villas that are adjacent to the JW. Once inside, I immediately walked over to the desk entitled "Marriott Bonvoy Elite". The gentleman that checked me(Joseph)in did not.....1. Greet me by name after I gave my identification. 2. Did not welcome me to the JW nor ask if it was my first time or returning visit. 3. Did not ask my choice for the "Welcome Gift". 4. Did not inform me of any of the activities or restaurants on property. 5. Did not ask if I needed a late checkout. I think you get the point, and as reference if you've been with Marriott for over 20 year's you know these are the standard questions that are asked. There was a time(3 years ago) that if you were not asked these questions the property would have to pay you cash as a result. Please note, this property does not have a Concierge Lounge and they make you choose between points or a breakfast certificate where most other properties give you both. The suite I was placed in was dated. The bathroom was nice but they forgot to update the living room area. Especially the chair with stains that look like bodily fluids(see pics) I was disappointed for my first time stay at this JW Marriott.
Our beautiful & fun stay at the JW Marriott
I just have to take the time to RAVE about this place. First of all, the negative reviews I saw.. can’t relate. The drive into the resort… gorgeous, we found parking super easy! Walking into the resort, speechless, first thing I noticed was the smell?! Oh my gosh, best hotel fragrance. Then I approached the front desk greeted by BRIANNA (BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EXPERIENCED IN HOSPITALITY) - she was quick & very knowledgeable) thank you girl! You made our birthday getaway so much more special! Anyway, she checked us in & let me tell you STUNNNNING views from our room. Same thing about walking into our room, very very clean, smelled so good! We unpacked and immediately walked around to see where all the amenities were. The arcade was a blast! Again superrrr clean in there & SO BIG! The pictures don’t do it justice! You definitely get your moneys worth, you can play to win tickets and pick from a great selection of prizes! We went there multiple times during our stay. We played mini golf after that also very fun! as long as there’s golf clubs available inside & the lights are on you’re good to play! & lastly the food. DELICIOUS! We ate wings / fries & sushi at the Aquifer65. So good! Thank you WENDY for being so attentive and for the recommendations! Aquifer65 is the restaurant right in the center of the lobby! lastly my wife did the spa last minute, they had availability and took her in immediately. You’re able to enjoy the spa amenities until 6 pm, you get your moneys worth for sure. If you’re debating on staying there don’t. It’s for everyone, couples, families with babies to teenagers, older folks. This is a place you won’t need to find things to go outside of it! Everything’s there! Thank you JW Marriott. We’ll be back!
New years trip
Property amazing. Jim tennis pro was awesome. New years eve party rocked. We don't have kids so less children would have been great. Go to spa pool for serenity and no kids. Worth it. Near so many activities
Do not stay here. Body hair in tub
Do not stay here. We booked a last minute trip from San Diego for one night. After checking in getting a very underwhelming dinner at the fishermans landing (slow service, very average food), we did a boat tour (pretty cool) and then returned to our room around 9 to bathe the kids. There was body hair in the tub, it was absolutely disgusting. I called the front desk and was speechless, the only thing they offered was to have someone clean the tub, I told them I would not be using the tub. After showering the kids (not ideal), I thought about it a bit more and how disgusting it was. I called the front desk back and asked them to send the manager up, and either refund us or upgrade our room. The housekeeping manager came up fifteen minutes later and was like “I heard there's something wrong with your room?” mind blown. Did the front desk bit tell you why you were coming up here? He then took a look at the tub and agreed that yes that is inexcusable, and would have the front desk reach out. Another ten minutes went past, and front desk calls back “Mr. Xxx so sorry for the inconvenience, we have a different room for you” “Ok, how many beds and what bed size?” (we have two adults and two kids so wanted to make sure we have enough space) She then proceeded to check for five minutes, come on, shouldn't this have been the information you should have before you call me? “Sir it will be the same set up as your current room, but with a view over the putting green” “Xxx I do not need a view, I asked for a refund or an upgrade” “Sir we stand by our putting green view and that is an upgrade, we can also refund your resort fee” “ resort fee of 40 dollars?” “ yes sir” At this point I was exhausted, it was 9:30 and the kids needed to sleep so I said yes Five minutes later the bell man came by and helped us with our luggage as we paraded the kids in pjs through the hotel. Bellman “ so was that room too far?” Again, how did the front desk not tell you? “No, there was body hair in the tub” Silence. Got to our room and he made sure we checked the room. Do not stay here

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
