Restaurante Restraurant Olympic Grill Argentino Sa Coma Reviews from The Last Year

I LOVE ME SOME LALA'S!!! No matter what I order, it's always a hit! From the creamy mashed potatoes to the chorizo, different cuts of meat, milanesa, empanadas, chimichurri, it is all absolutely delicious. The service is great and swift. The ambiance is very crowded because of how great it is but you'll still be able to hear your conversation. A MUST GO if you're in LA no matter which location you choose because there are several.

05.17.2024 We parked at the California Mart Center (CMC) and walked one block to find this place. My friend and I ate here before we walked over to The Orpheum Theatre and watched the Bored Teachers Comedy Show. We went in to check it out and were greeted right away. The place was busy and had a fun vibe. The servers were friendly and on the move. We ended up getting seated right away even though it was already pretty busy. PLUS! The menu was a QR code. As we searched the menu to find what we wanted, the servers were quick to bring us our drinks and some soft French bread and chimichurri sauce with olive oil. Their menu was extensive but everything looked good as we looked at what everyone was eating. The appetizer combo plate was great! The empanadas were cooked well. The outside was light and crispy. The fillings were tasty and packed in there. My favorite was the spinach. But both the chicken and beef were tasty. The flavors were good and I loved that they weren't greasy. The sausage was pretty yummy and was not heavy or greasy. It went well with the tortilla de papa. Think quiche but light cornbread texture with potatoes. We missed out on trying the panqueque con dulce de leche because they ran out in a matter of 30 minutes, from when we sat down to when we finished eating. I guess I'll have to come back and try more of their delicious food (or come back for more empanadas ) so we can try their dessert - the panqueques.

Thank you for the great service Alex! The food was delicious too. I recommend it for sure!
Fantastic holiday
This hotel was amazing and the surroundings are beautiful!! The food entertainment was fantastic! You have 4 restaurants to choose from if your not into the buffet every evening , you do have to book them but you can do it on there website or ask at reception! The food was amazing in all 4 restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and clean and was so quite! The pools are amazing and so many loungers too! Also there is loads of things to do free bikes with €20 deposit which you get back crazy golf the list goes on! Nothing is to much trouble for the staff they was fantastic. If I could give the hotel more stars I would. This hotel made our holiday and would just like to thank every single member of staff for a magical holiday. Looking forward to booking again.
Too family orientated
The staff and the facilities were excellent. We arrived on the first day of season opening so very few people, but by the end of the week it became very busy and noisy. the second buffet restaurant should have been opened sooner than it was. Everything was so far away. From our rooms (above reception) it was a fair walk to the other end of the complex. It wasn’t until the second day we actually got to see the sea which was a good 10-15 minutes walk away. So glad I could hire a mobility scooter. Naturally there was plenty of entertainment for children but for the adults extremely limited. Three nights of tribute bands with no other activities, ie no competitions, bingo night nor games night. Disappointing. By the end of the week the entertainment room was so full there was no where to sit. I dread to think how busy it is in the summer months. I just feel the hotel is too big to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Great hotel at reasonable price during off peak seasons
Returning guests to this 4 star apartment hotel. Nice large rooms with a kitchenette but only a few have sinks. Air conditioning seems to be fan only. But that’s ok for May or September. Food is standard all inclusive. Nothing special but they do have a chef cooking meat and other dishes. The Goa restaurant in my opinion is the best of the places to eat here. Hotel was half full so obviously no queues. Temp was between 21c and 25c. Around 18c at night. Free bikes, mini golf, tennis and volleyball. They have 2 excellent mini golf courses on the grounds. Excellent entertainment team for day time activities and local professionals for nighttime shows. So much better than hotels using TUI reps or their own staff. Mainly British and German guests. Went with TUI again and after the discounts it was reasonable. Nice beach about 20 min walk away.
Great for families with children and athletes.
Beautiful family hotel with a wide range of sports on offer (mini golf, swimming, rental bikes, free use of tennis courts). Friendly and competent staff. Large complex around 500m from the beach. Transfer from the airport around 75 minutes by bus.
No air conditioning, like staying in a third world country.
Hotel has no air conditioning, we are miserable and sweltering at night, it is like staying in a third world country. At first we thought it was just our room but then manager admitted the whole hotel has no air con - because the heating is switched on.! Said they couldn't do anything about it! Certainly will not be coming here again, it is a disgrace.
I saw some great reviews on Google about this spot and I
I saw some great reviews on Google about this spot and I decided to check it out. I ordered their Argentine Costilla Grande, calamar frito & fried shrimp along with their Signature Cab, "Lala." The steak was ok, it wasn't seasoned much and I asked for medium rare and it was past that. I added salt, A1 steak sauce and it did the job. I don't think it was worth $40 for that cut. I've had Argentinian steaks at other spots and for half the price. Their steak wasn't horrible at all but for the price, I was expecting way more & it was ok. I know it's an insult to ask for Bbq sauce at a steak house but I needed some bbq for this one. The calamari & fried shrimp were good but lacked the crisp that I'm used to. It was seasoned, juicy but it was also underwhelming. The highlight of the whole meal was the wine, their Lala Cab was phenomenal & I'll probably get a bottle next time for home. Customer service was cool also. I'd definitely come back again and try this other menu items.
AVOID!!
Avoid going here if you have children with any sort of additional needs. Staff shouted at my autistic daughter to move table while we she was sat eating. Picked up her plate and told her to move. I was getting food and dad was getting her a drink it was very busy in the dining area, we had walked around for ages looking for a table so I said to sit down at a table for 5, we were a family of 3. I took the Staff name and complained to reception but they just laughed it off while I had a very upset child. We had been at the bonaire in cala Bona 2 years previously and that was amazing. The staff were excellent with my daughter...shame it does follow through on all the Protur hotels! Tbh I really don't know what the good reviews are about..I always book hotels that a 4 star above on trip advisor and was seriously disappointed with this hotel. Been to majorca 7 times. 3 other protur hotels and they were great. This was sub standard for what we paid. Food is poor, there are flies everywhere around the food! Hardly any entertainment in the day and night entertainment isn't the best. We went out every night. Staff are not friendly at all.
Very good! I had a steak with the garlic, mash potatoes!
Very good! I had a steak with the garlic, mash potatoes! The salad was also very good! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for something healthy and delicious
I really enjoyed coming here for lunch.
The service was very adamant and the food felt very fresh and I really enjoyed the combination plates I had together. I think the ambience during lunch was pretty relaxing didn't feel chaotic in there and they were fully serviced. I will come again for some empanadas soon!
Highly disgusted at this location.
The customer services was non existent. I ordered over the phone and my order was wrong. When I ask for complementary rice that was missing from the order I was told no, which is fine all good I'll pay...I hand my card over and he doesn't take it but proceeds to talk trash to me about the order when I've already moved on. Literally says they didn't mess the order up...Then continues on and refers to me as "sir" when I'm clearly a woman. Fucked up and beyond rude.
When I want to grab a quick and fresh meal this is my spot.
I don't ever have to wait, I get the Dijon salmon plate every time.

Coming from a born & raised Argentino living in OC --This place has the best chimichurri with the most authentic flavors anywhere between LA to OC. El carne es increíble y el ambiente también. Best service and ambiance anywhere in Dtla. I will be back FOR SURE
Not worth the price.
Very basic nothing special. The sangria was good. They don't have big bar selection. Basic drinks

Popped in for happy hour before a show and wasn't disappointed. We basically ordered everything from the happy hour menu and even left with a jar of the chimichurri. Place was cute, staff was fast and nice- definitely will be back if I'm in the area again!
Great place
We came here at the peak of summer so it was busy, as to be expected. Our rooms were nice and clean and a problem with the shower was fixed rapidly after reporting it to the front desk. The food is good, not amazing but enough variation to get you through the week. My son loved that they had a kids buffet and ice cream bar at lunch and dinner. I personally loved the option of a late breakfast as we like to sleep in. I didn’t love the long lines at times for breakfast, not enough tables for everyone as most people seem to prefer to come later, near closing time (as one would expect on holiday) but the staff handled it the best they could. Option to sit outside was also nice. Don’t forget to book an a-la-carte restaurant upon arrival, they get fully booked quite easily. We went to the Indian buffet and this food was nicer than the hotel buffet and had lots of choice, even for picky eaters. I liked the different pools, never felt overly crowded and especially the splashpark for the kids, life guards there were also very helpful. There are lots of activities for children but be prepared to pay a little extra, though minigolf was included in our stay and we had a lot of fun. The only let down for me was the general area, not really much to do other than tourist traps. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for families who don’t mind a busy hotel and don’t really plan to do much other than going to the pool or the beach. We sure had a lovely stay.
Great hotel! Definitely recommend
Great hotel, central to the town and staff were really helpful. A huge amount of food on offer and drinks too. Great price for the hotel as they have lots of entertainment running throughout the day. They have 4 different restaurants although these have to be booked in advance which we had to queue over an hour for as its on a first come first serve basis. Overall we would recommend this hotel and are staying again this year!
Welcome to LaLa's Land! I had heard about LaLa's from a
Welcome to LaLa's Land! I had heard about LaLa's from a friend who had recently visited their studio city location; so, I decided for my weekly new restaurant visit, I would try LaLa's in DTLA. I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it was inside for being a downtown location. There was close-knit seating which made you feel right at home, family style. We took a look at the cocktail menu, but saw a note that they only serve sangria at the DTLA location (keep that in mind for the people who like to drink with dinner). However, I must say, the sangria is quite delicious! There are plenty of menu options and all of them come with pictures :) , I love a good photo! The food was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and absolutely delicious! I ordered the 1/2 chicken...mmm mmm tasty! It was juicy on the inside with a nice crisp outside. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because of the service. While everyone was very friendly and efficient, the servers didn't seem to be that engaged when I was asking for recommendations, especially since it was my first time. They said "its all good" , but....I normally prefer a little more of a detailed answer, just my preference. If you're downtown and looking for a nice place to eat, I recommend trying out LaLa's.
I ordered take out via Door Dash and had I known the food
I ordered take out via Door Dash and had I known the food would be that amazing I would have taken pics! Omg I have always loved skirt steak and chimichurri and the fact that I could buy a whole bottle of chimichurri -- WOW. Game changing! The steak was perfect, the rice was super yummy, and the salad I had was so so good. I don't live in LA anymore and I am kinda sad about that after having this from Lala's. So instead I am leaving this review so that I will remember the next time I'm in town that I should order from them again!
Love the skirt steak meal and gnocchi (with white sauce).
Delicious, consistent, and quick! The staff is super receptive and have fantastic customer service.
Great Hotel ***** Visited many times
We have visited this hotel multiple times at different times of the year including during the high of the pandemic when deemed safe to do so. The Hotel manager and staff are always accommodating, friendly and hard working. The hotel grounds and rooms are always kept well maintained and cleaned frequently. For the size of the hotel and numerous facilities I don't understand the negative comments as they cater for the large number of guests extremely well. Food is always good and a good variety of places to eat: morning, lunch and evening meal. Looking forward to our visit again in May :) every time we walk through the door of our room its like coming home :) :) Would 100% recommend if looking for a great family holiday :)
Fantastic family resort
Fantastic family resort. Amazing facilities, lovely accommodation and great entertainment. Brilliant location. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend. Suitable more for those with small families. 10 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to shops.
Family of 5 enjoyed it
We picked this hotel due to its family facilities and eco credentials. We are a family of 5 and had the best interconnecting rooms, which is hard to find. I booked direct with Tui in store to explain our requirements. The food was good. The pool was busier than I’d have liked but it was peak season and we managed to get loungers in the kids pool at the side of the hotel. We walked to Cala mallor a few times and also caught the bus.
Amazing
Our first visit to this hotel and have to say it wont be the last. Check in was swift, explained all the meal times etc Rooms....Huge....little kichenette with kettpe 2 hob cooking rings all the plates glasses etc you could need and a fridge of a decent size. Bedrooms plenty of storage and 2 very comfy beds. Bathroom...shower super powerful. Fresh towels every day except monday and thursday when maids are off. Front room has dining table 2 sofas that double as beds. We were in room 0021. View over pool on ground floor. Terrace area huge. Food....AMAZING...so much choice. Fresh cooking station for eggs, omlettes, pancakes, churros on a morning and evening had fish, chicken, pork chops, chicken kebabs etc Lots of fresh fruit, salad, breads, cheeses, typical breakfast selection of sausages bacon hash browns beans etc also Such lovely choices for evening meal aswell like roast pork, turkey, curry etc. Great kids section with nuggets pasta chips rice sausages burgers etc. Snack bar...WOW. burgers sausages lasagne chips salad cakes fresh fruit...best snack bar we have been too kids loved it. Drinks are self service for soft drinks and water. Cocktails are in the slushy machines and are divine Plenty of choice Icecream and ice lollies are also help yourself but if you want the mr whippy style frozen custard ask at the pool bar it is totally yum. Entertainment was fab. Good variety for kids and adults alike. Pools...loads of them. Plenty of choice. Never had a problem getting a sunbed even at 10.30am. Pools abit chilly when you first get in but refreshing. Indoor pool is lovely aswell. Splash park at the back of hotel is really nice but my kids preferred the main pools. The min depth is 1.35m which my child of 11 managed fine with and she is small for her age. Plenty of lifeguards on duty who are fab with the kids. Lots of pool games like water polo aqua aerobics going on. Great location shops very close by and a 5min walk to beach, nature reserve etc. Bus stop outside hotel to the safari park which was a fab few hours out. Little train also picks up there to visit cala millor etc. Bonus there is a laundrette. Soap powder is built in. Staff are amazing super friendly with ghe kids. Only issue i had was mosquitoes. Bitten to hell by them. Next time will definately take repellant. 100% would return
I'd stay here again and again if only I could pick up hotel and move it!
The best hotel I've stayed in ever! Where do I start exceptional service throughout from cleanliness to check out every member of staff great. 5 restaurants ( Indian, Italian, tex mex, Chinese and your buffet) loungers for everyone, great pool scene, drinks lovely mini golf included on your all inclusive. River running through for euro can go around on electric swans. Entertainment small stage and in Spanish. The only downside is the area surrounding wasn't the best. Lots of businesses were closed still. No bar lined beach all set back in town.
Fourth visit, definitely not the last.
Stayed at Safari Park in October and, as usual enjoyed our stay. As the title suggests this is our 4th visit having visited twice with family and this our second visit as a couple. One thing to bare in mind is the hotel is a large hotel with 616 rooms and is geared towards families so noise and children is something that is to be expected. If you want peace and quiet this is probably not the hotel for you. Check In was quick and the rooms were ready. There are 2 buffet restaurants and you are allocated one when you check in, your wristband colour indicates which one you have been allocated. The hotel just as before is spotless and the apartments have everything you need although the beds are quite hard and can be a bit uncomfortable. The one thing that stands out is the efficiency and friendliness of every single staff member. I have seen reviews saying otherwise but a simple Buenas Dias, Buenas Tardes, Buenas Nochas or Como Estas and attempting some spanish goes a long way. Service at the bars is quick and friendly and the evening entertainment is OK with some acts excellent and some not so good but that is personal choice. A children's disco is on before the evening entertainment begins which although repetitive the children enjoy. There is no reason for anyone to go hungry as there is enough variety in the buffet dining rooms to suit most people plus at lunch time the Country Grill is open. There are 4 speciality restaurants which you need to book. There is a choice of Asian, Indian, Italian and Tex Mex. The Tex Mex and Asian are buffet service and the Indian & Italian are waiter service. You can book one of these restaurants when you check in but for any more bookings you have to queue at a kiosk in reception and hope the restaurant you want is available. There are 6 pools in total and more than enough sunbeds to go around. The sunbeds are not only around the pools but also in other parts of the grounds so you can choose between pool or quieter areas. As for other facilities there is a kids club, 2 splashparks 1 is free and one you pay for. Sports wise there is a small gym, 2 minigolf courses, (you just get a ticket from reception and then collect your clubs and balls from the bar near the minigolf courses). Tennis courts, padel courts, volleyball, artificial football pitches a driving range and bikes are also available by going to the clubhouse just outside the hotel. Sa Coma is a fairly small resort with shops and bars/restaurants a nice beach and a long promenade which takes you to S’Illot. You can also walk to Cala Millor and Cala Bona either along the road or over the headland past the small medieval castle. If you fancy a boat trip there are a couple of kiosks to book them and you can get a bus to Porto Cristo and visit the Caves of Drach or The Caves of Hams and Dinosaurland. Would I recommend the hotel, if you have young children then definitely. If you have teenagers, unless they use the sports facilities they may get a bit bored. As a couple, if you are happy to be surrounded by families and do not mind a bit of noise then go for it.
Great family hol in October.
Great family hotel with lots of free activities if you are an active family. We spent a week here in October with a 10 and 7 year old. Apartment was a good size with lots of storage areas for clothes. Mattresses are a tad hard but lots of places are like that. Staff are really helpful and polite. Resort was spotless while we were there and staff were constantly cleaning communal areas. Food was really good for all inclusive and the themed restaurants are an added bonus, you can book one when checking in and we were encouraged to book the Italian which was in our last night, definitely worth the wait. The rest of the days you had to queue at 2pm to see what was available. There are lots of pools and it’s worth taking a walk around when you arrive to see what depth suits your kids, there is also a splash park that is great for smaller kids. There are lots of free activities such as tennis, paddle, bikes, mini golf so great for active kids. All in all we had a great experience and would return in the future.
Great value for money
If you want a decent, good value, all-inclusive experience and have a young family, this hotel has all bases covered. There is literally something for everyone. Every single member of staff provided a great customer experience.
