Excellent venue
Amazing food and service. Shrimp tempura appetizer was excellent. Yellow fin tuna bowl and wild cod dishes were beautifully presented and mouth watering yummy. The complimentary birthday dessert creme brulee was delicious as well. This will be my favorite restaurant now. Be sure to make reservations as very busy.

We arrived at the restaurant asked for a table for two. The multiple seating hostesses at the front looked very important and uninspired. One took our name and a phone number and told us that it's a 15 min wait. Some people were offered complementary sparkling, but not us. We decided to go outside and when we got a message we came back. I asked to be seated at a high table. The girl said in a very important, almost instructive voice that people reserve such tables, but I mean we were told that just wait 15 min and tables will be available. The girl took us to the darkest corner of the room where two strollers were parked. We were a party of two on a romantic date but were given a round table that seats 5. We kindly asked to be moved to a different table with more light as this one was in a very dark area. The girl went to the important looking hostesses' area and came back saying: it's the last table available or sit around the bar. We pointed out that there are many empty tables, but they said no. The morale is: during the recession times when restaurants complaining that it's hard to make ends meet and they have to lay off employees you need to keep your customer you would think that they stay as come back. Returning customers is something that any business knows. This restaurant has no concept of good customer service, it's a chain faceless place that doesn't care about its customers. Please spend your money elsewhere. Very disappointed.

It was standard Joey food.
The servers were stellar but the food did take some time getting to us. The atmosphere is reminiscent of most standardized restaurants, a lot of friends just hanging out and having a good time.

Went with a cousin for a long overdue Family catch up. We chose Joey's Sherway. Did not disappoint. All staff wonderful and accommodating. Our server ERIC H. knows the art of customer service... PARAMOUNT... SERVICE WITH A SMILE!! Once we introduced ourselves ERIC referred to us by name during our entire visit. He could definitely mentor others in the customer service industry on how to GET IT RIGHT!! Goes a LONG WAY in terms of Customer Satisfaction. I had the fish tacos condiments on the side, perhaps a unique request BUT ERIC H. and the team in the kitchen delivered on point. It takes a village to make things work like a well oiled machine. My cousin chose a salad/chicken bowl. She loved it. Everything was absolutely delicious!! Came just the way it was explained to us. Great things to say and fond memories of our time spent at Joeys!! So many tasty favourites
Even if the chef or a waiter/waitress makes an error, my rating will likely remain Excellent. I have many menu appetizing, flavoursome favourites, including Katsu chicken peanut salad, Bombay butter chicken, herb crush salmon, blackened chicken, Szechuan chicken lettuce wraps, Japanese Gyoza, Korean fried cauliflower, spicy yam fries, and more.

Fantastic food and very friendly and professional service. From the initial contact with the person at the front desk, to the excellent service by Christelle, was a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Didn't enjoy the house salad as the dressing was too"vinegary"-I think it was balsamic vinegar. The waiter took this off our bill, which was appreciated. I had the steak and frites. I had to spit out 3 pieces of gristle and couldn't eat the rest of the miniscule steak. The wine ($25. Per glass) left a lot to be desired. My husband ordered the salmon and liked it. I will never go back to this restaurant.

For a chain restaurant, JOEY does very well in all aspects: the food, the service, the ambience. JOEY at Sherway Gardens Mall is actually not inside the mall, but in the same complex. Entrance is right at the parking lot. The inside is pretty big, spanning 2 floors. The main floor has a lot of booth-style seatings and larger dining tables, with a darker interior (and also cooler temperature). The second floor has a bar-like seating area with more sunlight and warmer temperature. The washrooms are located on the second floor. Service is great - fast, friendly, and the server we had was very knowledgeable and knew the ingredients of all the dishes on the menu inside-out. 1) Herb Crush Salmon (truffle beurre blanc, preserved tomatoes, creamy mashed potatoes, snap peas, asparagus) - JOEY was the first and only place we've been to where we we were asked how "well done" we wanted the salmon to be cooked. The server said the salmon would be "medium" and asked if it was okay (i.e. we could've asked for it to made more rare or more well done). We were okay with medium. No other restaurant (that serves salmon) has ever given us this option to choose! The dish came out very colourful with beautiful plating. The salmon was a good size. The green seasonings on top of the salmon, as well as the mashed potatoes and vegetables, were very flavourful. I didn't taste much of the truffle, but it was still delicious nonetheless. The vegetables (snap peas and asparagus) felt overcooked... I would've preferred more crisp vegetables. But it worked well with the creamy mashed potatoes. 2) Oven Roasted Wild Cod (with steamed and crispy rice, snap peas, cauliflower, herbed greens, Thai peanut curry sauce) - We were told that this dish had a bit of a kick, so we asked for the spicy peppers and peanut curry sauce to be served on the side, which they happily accommodated. The cod was nicely cooked, fluffy, and nicely seasoned on top. The cauliflower and snap peas were more on the soft side... wish they were more crisp. The steamed and crispy rice had a nice soft texture, that was mixed with bits of almond pieces which added a nice crunch. The peanut curry sauce was not spicy at all. I tasted more of the curry than the peanuts. I really liked the herbed greens that this dish came with. 3) Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (crab, shrimps, and corn with panko crust, apple fennel salad, house-made tartar, toasted almonds) - LOVED the crab cakes here. There was minimal panko crust covering (only a light layer of panko crust on top, just enough to give it a nice crunch effect), and you could see actual big pieces of crab and corn in the crab cakes. The apple fennel salad was crunchy and a bit tangy, and I really liked the toasted almonds in the salad.
Delicious Rib Eye, espectacular customer service.
Sangria is not what I was expecting, it tasted more like a fruit punch with ice. Crème Brûlée cheesecake is out of this world, highly recommended. Ambiance is very nice. I would come back.
Extremely Disappointed
First tried to make a reservation. Can only do this on-line and using a cell phone. All lines are automated. Even when I needed to complain no "live" voice/person available. To get confirmation, as none was received, one of my friends stopped by Joey's, at which time they called me to confirm. When I arrived was offered Prosecco "free" and shown to our table on the patio. When friends arrived neither was offered the "Free" Prosecco upon arrival, nor was it offered at the table. We asked our server if they could turn down the volume as it was overriding our ability to hear,and NO we do not need hearing aids. We requested reduction of volume four times to no avail and our request to change table fell on deaf ears too. When we receive our individual tabs the two who order one glass of house wine were shocked at the price $21+ ! Not great table service either. Would definitely not recommend Joey's at Sherway. Staff need to be trained to handle all aspects of customer service regardless, pleasantly and willingly. Also to be advised that their tips will reflect the service level each customer receives. What happened to the customer service Prior to Covid????

Dropped in for dinner. We have not been there in a couple of years and what a positive change. The menu has change and for the positive. There are more options. We were served by Luca, who happens to be the manger and what a great experience. We started to talk to him a little more at the end of the meal, however, they started to get busy and he had to go back to his "real job". We will definably be back.

A business lunch and we sat on the upstairs patio. Service was good, food amazing, and they had a good selection of summer drinks and coctails.
First of all, the food was delicious.
The service was good if a little slow to react to requests. Worst of all was the cloud of fruit flies hovering over the table. If they could get that issue licked, I would consider eating there again.

Service was good. Ambiance was the best of the three. Overpriced wine, dirty wine glasses, interesting choice of ambiance music to say the least and bad seating options. Depending on the night you go, it could be a fantastic night out for food and drinks.

Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
