Tried Jang Su Jang for the first time, and we had a great meal. They have a single page menu, and some of the dishes are not cheap ($30 for bulgogi, which is definitely pricey) but the food was tasty. We ordered:- Mul Naengmyun ($20) - JSJ's version has super thin white noodles. The broth and meat were good, but we personally prefer the thicker brown noodles, but that's more of a personal preference.- Bulgogi ($30) - pretty good, but can't taste how this is more expensive than other places- Galbitang ($25) - described as "Nutritious beef rib soup" - this was a hearty version with mushrooms and a red date and radish chunks that indeed felt nourishing. The meat was good as well (although a tad bit smelly) and I had to gnaw the meat off the bone (so I prefer the galbitang at Yummy Tofu where their meat falls off the bone). The broth is wonderful though, I drank it down to the last drop!- Dotolee Yachaeguksoo ($20) - haven't ever had this and it was delicious! We love wrapping grilled meat with lettuce at home, so eating at restaurants is often a downer since they don't offer fresh lettuce. But this salad at JSJ hit the spot! Their acorn noodles (chewy and similar to nyaengmyun noodles) are tossed with vegetables and a soy sauce dressing. The salad and sauce themselves are yummy on their own but if you grab a piece of bulgogi and eat it together with this acorn noodle salad = delicious! The banchan were pretty good too - first time we've ever had kale salad as a side dish. Pricey, but definitely worth a try if you've never been!
