I feel all the waitresses there are very arrogant.
Maybe because we have two little kids who somehow troubled them? But I don't remember they did anything except for taking two extra menu paper. I can't recall how their food taste due to the unpleasant feeling.

Both my friend and I ordered the seafood & beef soon tofu with spicy as its spice level. Spice was just right and wasn't too overwhelming. Portion size was a bit small for the price but the quality of meat and seafood was good. As for the haemul pajeon, it was very flavorful and the portion was on the bigger size. Complimentary rice was included with side dishes which was a plus. Service was excellent. Staff was attentive on making frequent rounds to check up on my friend and I.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is tasty.
Ordered the beef seafood tofu soup with the seafood cakes. The tofu soup was tasty, kind of expected flavors with a good level of spiciness. Good amount of seafood and beef. Is it the best broth I've tasted? No. It's not average or mediocre but doesn't taste special. It tasted what a solid tofu soup would be.The seafood cakes had a huge portion, pretty thick, but I kept being reminded of how much I like SGDs tofu houses cakes while eating it. While the outside was definitely crispy, the inside because of the thickness was a bit too mushy for my preference. This review does not contribute to their BBQ which is seated differently versus their regular menu.Service was good, they serve hot tea if you want at no charge, and was quiet and clean.

We ate here randomly on a Monday at 2pm & they were open! A lot of Korean BBQ places in this area closes around 2p. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Galbi and vegetable pancake. Your order comes with about 6-7 side dishes. Overall, everything we ate was amazing!! I definitely recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyThis was my first time eating at a Korean restaurant.
The staff were so kind, they guided us through the entire process. Recommending how to eat the side dishes, to what to order. We drive a little over an hour to try this place and it was worth it. It's quite, clean, and everything I had hoped for... for my first experience with Korean food. We will be back.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food and service.
Huge portions and great bon chon. Will definitely be back. Reminded me of being in Seoul.

I ordered the food via doordash, the packaging was done so beautifully and was very much appreciated. The food was fresh, and tasty. I wish the egg was packaged separately so it wouldn't get overbooked with the heat of the rest of the meal. I would certainly visit Jang Su Jang for more delicious meal
Be the first to ReplyLovely Korean restaurant.
From the outside it looks remote and deserted but walk in and it's a whole different world. There are a lot of scary signs advising you to keep all your electronic devices with you and not in the car.But the food itself is yummm. Once you order, you get a whole set of sides you can pick at while you wait for the food. We had pancakes and the rice bowl. The pancakes were served on a hot griddle, and crispy and tasty with the sauce they offer. The rice bowl is filling, but it is not as flavorful.
Be the first to ReplyShould have no problem finding parking in this parking lot.
But beware there's been car break-ins so they warn their customers to not leave any personal belongings in your car.On to the food... the food here is pretty good. Entire group ordered:* Seafood Pancake* Vegetable Pancake* Dolsot Bibimbap* Combo A (Brisket, Beef Tongue, Short Steaks)* Combo B (Yangnyum Galbi, Bulgogi, Pork Belly, Brisket)They also cook the bbq meats for you. Unfortunately they ran out of the Bossam Jungsik, which I hear is super popular. It is a bit on the pricey side, so be prepared for a hefty bill. Overall would come back but maybe only once in awhile.
Be the first to ReplyMy goto place to order takeout food.
The food are tasty and nutritious. LA Galbi, Bibimbap, and seafood soon tofu are the dishes I order most.
Be the first to ReplyMy go to for good Korean food.
Jang Su Jang has excellent variety from KBBQ to Soups, to Stews and everything in between. Unless you really want to splurge on the fancy KBBQ, the prices are otherwise pretty typical if not slightly above average. But you get what you pay for. Santa Clara has an array of Korean restaurants and is really where the only Korea Town is. Jang Su Jang this is one of the best if not the best. The LA Kalbi is the best in the bay area. The banchans are also extremely good and waitresses are kind in providing refills. Whether you want a noodle soup, soondubu, or KBBQ, this is the place for you. I highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyWe've been meaning to come here for some time.
Unfortunately, we haven't been lucky with reservations that work with our schedule or walk-ins. ...meaning, this place is popular and gets busy. Finally, this MLK weekend in the US, we had the opportunity to catch up with some friends in Silicon Valley. Being a holiday weekend, and later in the evening, the place was half-full. Though there was still a buzz of busy-ness and good feel of being a popular place. We ordered family-style for six people: seafood pancake, Japchae, Korean BBQ ( A-group, three meats: steak tips, brisket, bulgogi, veggies), and a seafood claypot. All this was accompanied by the banchan ( assortment of small side dishes) and white rice. Portions are fairly large, and perfect for family-style dining. The table had a built-in grill with a large vent hood over it. The vent hood kept the smoke away so our clothes didn't smell like BBQ on the way out. Even better, the vent was relatively quiet so we could have a normal conversation without yelling. One of the staff expertly grilled the meats & veggies for us . So we had dedicated service throughout the meal. I can't say this would be the norm if the place were busier. We provided our own liquor and there was No Corkage Fee!!! .....Love it! The place looked clean, though a bit cluttered at the entrance. There is plenty of parking since the mall is under renovation and many of the shops are closed. However , the restaurant reports car vandalism and break-ins...so don't leave any valuables in your vehicle. Don't blame the restaurant for this, blame the politicians many of you voted into office. We enjoyed the meal and lingered over drinks and conversation for a few hours until closing. We were never rushed and always felt welcome. Being in the heart of Silicon Valley, prices are to match. We are fans and will be back!!
Be the first to ReplyOne of the worst Korean restaurants I've been to in the Bay
One of the worst Korean restaurants I've been to in the Bay Area. Possible I'm really critical with Korean food being Korean and all but they charge $20+ for Mul Naengmyun only to serve H Mart instant noodle and soup base. Seriously sad especially when the noodle comes out not even fully cooked. We also ordered their Yuk Gae Jang Kal Guk Soo which is supposed to be a vegetable hearty soup based dish and we got pretty much no vegetable unless you count 4 pieces of scallion. It was literally the saddest Yuk Gae Jang I've ever seen, it's like they didnt' even try. We also told them we needed the Steamed Eggs to be fully cooked at the top as well because I'm pregnant and of course they bring it out runny, charging us $10 for a dish I couldn't even eat. So yeah I'd say probably one of the worst Korean restaurants with poor quality for quite the price. To say, definitely not coming back.Update: 5 hours later - seems like my husband and I both got food poisoning. This meal was the only meal we had today....

Love the variety of banchan here! My favorite is the briny kale with tiny pieces of soft tofu. We asked for seconds on the kale, napa cabbage kimchi, bean sprouts and cucumber kimchi. I also really liked the potato, radish kimchi and fish cake. Yum! Got the dumpling (beef and pork mandu) tofu soup. Hubs ordered the chicken bi bim bap, but didn't realize until he was already eating that he didn't ask for the hot stone bowl version. Hot barley tea. Mmmm! They walk around checking if anyone wants banchan or tea refills.Guess we'll just have to go back again this winter! I want to try the hand pulled noodle soup with seafood and the seafood pancake! The strip mall is pretty empty, just Jang Su Jang, Paris Baguette, Chili's and United Furniture. Before they sat us, they asked us if we had any valuables, laptops, etc in the car. They have big signs posted reminding customers not to leave any valuables in the car due to break-ins. Bring it inside or leave it at home.Clean restrooms.Credit cards accepted.

Jang Su Jang is a great spot in the South Bay for Korean food! The inside is super spacious and can easily sit big parties. The parking lot is a little sketchy so make sure to take your valuables with you. They have a variety of dishes including BBQ, bossam, and noodles. We decided to try their bossam and the kimchi jiggae. Both were super delicious and reminded me of being in Ktown LA. Their portions are pretty big and they have lots of side dishes. Definitely give them a try!
Be the first to ReplyHave a birthday party for a guy friend.
We have 3 families gathering here For Korean bbq.ordered seafood Pancake, seafood soon Tofu.marinated beef short rib, and sliced marinated beef ribeye, and nutritious beef rib soup. This soup is not spicy and there bonds alone w the sweet meat. Both marinated beef tasted pretty good w kimchi. Those side dishes were a bit salty. Not used to be that good any more. I think it is worth 3 stars specially a bit pricey.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent flavors and good service, free banchan refills.
$$$ is true - not cheap but it is quality you get.

Friendly staff and great restaurant atmosphere, meat quality is up to par and best seafood pancake in the Bay Area!
Be the first to ReplyJang Su Jang is a great place for comforting Korean food.
The surrounding area and the parking lot are a bit sketchy, but do not fret, as there are usually quite a few people dining inside! As a party of 2, we shared one seafood pancake and one clam tofu stew. Firstly, I appreciated the wide variety of free side dishes and they were all really good (free refills too!). The seafood pancake came on a hot iron plate and was packed with so much yummy seafood! Probably the best seafood pancake in the Bay. The tofu stew with clams was also very tasty. I will definitely be returning in the near future. Keep in mind that the kitchen closes at 8 even though the restaurant itself closes at 8:30, so make sure you arrive before 8 pm.

The service was great and I was happy with the quality of the food. I got extra spicy for the tofu soup and I think it was a good amount of spice, not too little and not too hot. It came with so many side dishes as well.

Came here twice this past weekend, and overall an enjoyable experience! They have a wide sleection of side dishes - definitely better than most other korean restauranfs. First time, we got the kbbq, and it was on the pricier side (spent around $70/person). However, the quality of meat was definitely good. Everything was well marinated and had good texture. The staff was very friendly and they bbq the meat for you. They are also very helpful with any questions you have! The 2nd time, i got the soup dumpling. It was also flavourful without being too heavy! It was generally a nice and warm meal with quite a few pieces of dumplings and rice cakes.

Tried Jang Su Jang for the first time, and we had a great meal. They have a single page menu, and some of the dishes are not cheap ($30 for bulgogi, which is definitely pricey) but the food was tasty. We ordered:- Mul Naengmyun ($20) - JSJ's version has super thin white noodles. The broth and meat were good, but we personally prefer the thicker brown noodles, but that's more of a personal preference.- Bulgogi ($30) - pretty good, but can't taste how this is more expensive than other places- Galbitang ($25) - described as "Nutritious beef rib soup" - this was a hearty version with mushrooms and a red date and radish chunks that indeed felt nourishing. The meat was good as well (although a tad bit smelly) and I had to gnaw the meat off the bone (so I prefer the galbitang at Yummy Tofu where their meat falls off the bone). The broth is wonderful though, I drank it down to the last drop!- Dotolee Yachaeguksoo ($20) - haven't ever had this and it was delicious! We love wrapping grilled meat with lettuce at home, so eating at restaurants is often a downer since they don't offer fresh lettuce. But this salad at JSJ hit the spot! Their acorn noodles (chewy and similar to nyaengmyun noodles) are tossed with vegetables and a soy sauce dressing. The salad and sauce themselves are yummy on their own but if you grab a piece of bulgogi and eat it together with this acorn noodle salad = delicious! The banchan were pretty good too - first time we've ever had kale salad as a side dish. Pricey, but definitely worth a try if you've never been!

Came to Jang Su Jang to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was delicious! Despite coming just past 5:45, our party of 5 was still met with a 25 minute wait for a bbq table.Once seated, I looked over the menu and ordered a small smorgasbord of food for us. Jang Su Jang is not AYCE, and their portion sizes are not the biggest, but their quality is undeniable! Our meal began with some king mandu in a beef bone broth with some egg and seaweed. The dish was comforting and of a good size. There were 5 giant dumplings inside.Next, banchan was brought out. There were many kimchi-like dishes with classic kimchi, pickled daikon, and pickled onions. It would have definitely been nice to get a little more variety. The only different options were the marinated sweet potatoes, "American" potato salad, and my favorite amongst all of them - the chilled pickled bean sprouts. For meats, we went with the superstar marinated galbi and the pork belly. Both were phenomenal! The galbi was just buttery and so tender once grilled. The pork belly was fun and allowed you to experiment with all the sauces on the table. I was a little disappointed there weren't garnishes of lettuce leaves, perilla leaves, or samjang though. To complete our meal we also added a vegetarian bibimbop and the vegetarian pajeon. Both were done quite well!A bday party also isn't a party without drinks and our table was able to clear 4 large bottles of Cass and a house soju.As far as service goes, I thought this location of JSJ was definitely not as good as their sister in Milpitas. Our waitress seemed impatient, forgot the soju and almost charged us a second bottle, and also wasn't great with table management (only 1 pair of tongs, brought over like 12 plates then got frustrated by the lack of table space, etc).
Be the first to ReplySolid Korean food for the price.
The soups are fresh and the meat is delicious. This place will always warm you up on a chilly day and will satisfy your hunger.
