Hôtel Escad Quartier DIX30 Brossard Reviews from The Last Year
Escad Dix30, when consistency sells
Great location in Dix30. Hotel of choice over the past 3 years. Always consistent in cleanliness and comfort. Makes you feel comfortable when you are there. You can walk to all the shops if you prefer, or drive if you plan on buying lots of items. Or, unexpectedly buy lots of items (yes, been there done that). Cousins is a great place to hang out for a drink or two, and you will find live music (I think Friday nights). Also serves breakfast for you early risers.
Our second home!
Our second home! A magnificent and perfect place to escape from everyday life. The quality of service, staff and rooms is remarkable. What can I say about the view, location and comfort. I highly recommend it!
A very good business hotel
Great service, airy and practical rooms, great location with free parking and access to the REM as well as lots of restaurants and stores nearby, flexible policies for check in and check out when you book with the hotel directly In a repeat customer and it never disappoints. Only « bad » thing is the breakfast restaurant (served at Les cousin’s bar) where the service is pretty slow, the food is very tasteful though
perfect for quick trip to Montreal area
Coming from New England for a long weekend, this hotel was perfect. With free underground parking in the mall next door and free electric charging right at the hotel entrance, we could avoid the traffic of Montreal at the end of a long drive and instead get into the city easily using the new, clean, frequent, efficient REM train. The room was modern and very comfortable; the couch by the window was great for enjoying the view. The staff were exceptionally friendly, especially the person who checked us out. (We also got a complimentary late checkout from booking with them directly.)
Perfection!
We had the Studio+ with an incredible view of Montreal. Exceptional service, beautiful room and extremely comfortable king size bed! Very clean! The mattress was the most comfortable my husband and I ever slept on.
Dont book a room with pullout bed!!! Its terrible!
Overall a great stay, the room was nicely laid out, bathroom modern, and the staff were very friendly. What was shameful was the queen pullout bed… The mattress was paperthin, sort of like a camping mattress, and there were iron bars and metal underneath poking through to the point of making the sleep extremely uncomfortable. This is completely unacceptable for the high price paid for the room. The main queen bed was good, comfortable enough for a few nights. Although I would consider staying at this hotel again, if the prices were comparable to other hotels in the area, I would never book a queen room with a pull out again. The only way to go is a king bed or paying quite a bit more for a room that has two real queen beds. Hotel is located in a good shopping area with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The overall feel of the hotel was “modern chic”, and the best part of this day was the fantastic customer service.
Great option for outside of DT
We recently experienced our first stay at Hotel Escad, and it won't be our last. We arrived at Hotel Escad at 2 in the morning and despite the late hour, there was an incredibly friendly face waiting for us at the front desk. She was kind and very helpful. The lobby was very aesthetically pleasing. Our room was beyond expectation. It was very clean with a lot of natural lighting, and we were pleasantly surprised that it had a desk as well which was great for remote work. The bed was comfortable and large. The shower has two heads and the water was always hot. This hotel is very secure, requiring a pass card to operate even the elevator. It is quiet and modern. Lots of complimentary toiletries that were brand new so we didn't have to worry about them being contaminated by previous guests. There is a mini fridge, a kettle, a microwave, tea, and coffee for a Nespresso machine, and a hairdryer. 24-hour access gym is available for guests as well. They do have laundry service, it is $44.99 for a laundry bag to be washed and folded. We didn't utilize this service but it is available. When booking this hotel, we had no knowledge of the location as we are not familiar with Quebec or Montreal. It's around a 25-minute drive to downtown, and we were fine with that. I would say with or without a car, it's not a terrible location because there is a lot to do around the hotel. It's right next to the highway and is located in a mall of sorts, there were 100 stores surrounding us which was really nice. There is a large parking garage and for our 8-day stay, we never had trouble getting a spot in there. The garage has security and was very safe for your vehicle. Being outside DT made the price very reasonable for our long stay, it was much cheaper than the AirBnBs we were looking at. Breakfast was expensive but due to our long stay, it was complimentary. I would guess if someone had to pay it would be offputting, we likely would not eat there more than once if it hadn't been included, but it was also really good. The one day we got room service it was very hot and probably the best we had there. The buffet was nice with a lot of options. The fresh bread was outstanding, and the fruit was always ripe and fresh. Special shoutout to Suzie, who always had a smile and did her job very well, we enjoyed seeing her each time we went to Les Cousins. One thing people should be aware of is that there is a glass wall in the shower that faces the room, and despite the patterning on it, it is see-through, so people on the bed or the couch will see you showering. When the steam gets on it, it's less visible but you can still see in. Not so bad for us because we were partners, but if you're traveling with a coworker or a friend or parent, it could be awkward. It was not a feature we appreciated and it seems like an overlooked detail. You will see everything, and in some situations, this would not be ideal. The pillows were also so soft that you can expect them to basically disappear and separate away from your head, and as a person with an injury, it was hard to get comfortable. Make sure you fluff them every night before sleeping to puff them back up again! These were very mild issues that would not prevent us from returning, we would absolutely use this hotel again. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. I also want to mention that they have conference rooms available. My partner had a meeting at 4am, and when he went up to use it, staff kindly brought him a tea, it was very appreciated. We look forward to returning again sometime. I do recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for somewhere quieter. The halls were always silent, and we never once heard a peep from adjacent rooms.
