😒 3/5 - Pseudo-French restaurant without culinary coherence

This restaurant is located in the Omni Seaport hotel right across from the Boston convention centre. The interior clearly signals upscale dining and the main clientele is likely business travellers. If you are meeting business partners for dinner, the first problem you encounter is the blaring music. It is simply not possible to talk to anyone who is further than one seat away. A request to turn down the volume by one of my colleagues was ignored. The menu is a linguistic and culinary potpourri. There is a lack of classic main dishes, so you might opt for several starters. Surprisingly, neither an amuse-bouche nor bread is served. While I very much liked the lamb meatballs, they came with absolutely nothing which was a missed opportunity. The equally well-executed Tahitian tuna came with crisps (waffle chips) which is a bit of an odd composition. Coquette's kitchen team can provide you with Turkish böreks, steaks, Alsatian flammkuchen, and raw oysters. The wide range of flashy items might please many customers but the lack of coherence clearly indicates an absence of culinary vision. The servers where not quite sure who ordered what dish. One main course was forgotten, but an apology was issued in liquid form. The evening was great but this was due to the excellent company I had.
