First time here and the food was delicious, the service was outstanding. Great drinks, great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Dinner was awesome tonight.
We ordered from the app menu. The elote Cameron dish. And the octopus with the mole.. sooo.. good..

Food was amazing, have to set an appointment in advanced for appointment. Great service

single pancake (4/5): solid pancake, nothing special but still very good. chilaquiles verdes (3.8/5): yummy! i liked everything, especially how the chips were still crispy when they came out. i do think the chilaquiles are significantly better at cocina 35 though. short ribs and eggs (3.7/5): the mole was interesting, took a while to get used it but it was good. short ribs were tender and it was the best part. i don't have much to compare the dish to as i've never had mole before. came here for valentine's day and it was a nice experience, seems like a fun place to go to for brunch and drinks!
Just ate here for Friday happy hour.
The food was amazing and the service was great! I had Tacos de Pescado and the shrimp tacos which were delicious!! We decided to have dessert. We tried three different ones which were also delicious! We will definitely be back!

Came here after the Hot Chocolate run downtown - we opted for this location since it was farther away from the hustle and bustle from the race. For 10:15 on a Sunday, our party of 4 was seated fairly quickly. We started with the mango aquachile which was a favorite among our table. I enjoyed my Santa Fe omelette, which had chorizo. I was pleasantly surprised of how different the chorizo tasted - had that homemade taste vs. one that was bought and squeezed out from its casing. Overall, would go again to try their mazapan pancakes.
Great spot, need to try.
They use fresh ingredients and portions are not shy. The venue is inviting, indoor and enclosed patio seating. Service is great - our server Christian was extremely helpful. We got the pulpo (8/10), esquite (9/10), sea bass ceviche (10/10!!) and the corn cake dessert which was such a nice touch. Everything is quality even if it may not be your flavor. There is something for everyone to appreciate here. Highly recommend!
Do I recommend this place? Fuck to the NO! Came to get some
Do I recommend this place? Fuck to the NO! Came to get some dinner. We should've seen the hints and left prior to ordering, 'cause 2 families came in and left as soon as they saw the menu. Food was shitty and way overpriced for what they serve you. I ordered the pulpo a la brasa but the waiter never explained it was two scrawny ass tentacles on 12x12in plate with a bunch of weeds on top and some sauce.... My girl got a tlayuda and that was shitty also..... to make story short we paid for our food and left..... ended up getting dinner at Phil's bbq instead. WHY IS A STAR A MUST FOR A REVIEW????!!!!????!!!!
great service.
tried the Pulpo for an app. Fantastic taste. the mole with it was yummy. ask for the fresh, hand-press corn tortillas to sop up the goodness.
Great ambiance, delicious food & amazing service.
We enjoyed the vegan tetelas with mole from their afternoon menu & a couple of dishes from their happy hour menu: ceviche de robalo & fish tacos Also, couldn't skip their amazing $7 happy hour margaritas. We'll be back for sure!
Great food and nice room.
I am reviewing the location in the Lumberyard in Encinitas. TripAdvisor is lame and NOT CURRENT so it’s not pre loaded. Location has been open for a month. Get your act together TripAdvisor!!!! It’s your business!!!! Great food and service.
Mexican Brunch Vibes
The product of years of work from Chef Jose J. Flores Cocina de Barrio can rightly be called a San Diego success story, three locations starting in Hillcrest all considered not only great for brunch but also as a place to enjoy Oaxacan classics. Home to bottomless Mimosas and walls built for the #gram, a youthful crowd of mixed races populating every patio seat and most of those inside, it is after friendly greetings that guests are seated in an open-air room where music plays loud and service is great. Perhaps best described as Modern Mexican, though plates such as the Tlayuda and Enmoladas made with hand-pressed Corn Tortillas and earthy Mole suggest a strong background in classic cooking, most tables will begin with Cocktails that range from Palomas and Mules to fanciful Popsicle-topped options including La Tia Chata. Faring well with Ceviche, local Shrimp standing up well to winter Citrus and Habaneros, items “From the Griddle” veer towards fun in the case of French Toast with Dulce de Leche or fluffy Flapjacks under a ladle of Rice Pudding made right.
