This is my first one-star review because I have never had a more horrible experience than this.
The four of us, including my 2-year-old, drove for about six hours to get to the location, which we heard from the word of mouth, that it was a great restaurant and we should really give it a try when we visited LA. When we finally arrived, it was about 2:20 PM and we signed up for the waiting list. The young waiter told us that we may need to order the takeout if there was no table available at 2:30, although the restaurant closed at 3:00pm. There was also a group of 3 that arrived just a minute before us who also signed up on the waiting list.
Then after we changed the kid’s diaper and came out, the same waiter told us that it was already 2:30pm and we had to order take out. We saw the group of 3 just got seated and another table had already paid and was ready to leave. We asked if we could sit at the almost-ready table. The answer to us was NO because they needed time to clean up and that would be a few minutes past 2:30pm.
Then we said we would order something quick and make sure that we leave at 3:00pm. After all, we drove all the way here and my 2-year-old was so exhausted and wanted a place to eat at that moment. The answer to us was NO because the last call was 2:30pm.
Then we told her our situation that we brought a kid visiting LA. If we ordered take out, we would have nowhere to sit and eat, not to mention it was raining outside. I almost begged them that if we could at least sit at the available table and eat our take out. The answer to us is still NO. Adding to that, the waitress at the cashier said the takeout was takeout and we could eat the take-out in the Starbucks nearby.
Lastly, we asked if we could talk to the boss. The answer to us was, of course, NO because their boss was not there and there was nowhere to contact the boss.
To be honest, I have never experienced anyone so rude, inflexible, and inconsiderate in my whole life, especially in the customer service industry.
We had to leave the restaurant because we had nowhere to eat the takeout at 2:40pm, 20 minutes before the restaurant closed. I still believe the dish may still be great, but the waiter and waitress they hired in this location really hurt the brand.
We are so disappointed by the customer service today. Hope the boss of the restaurant can see the review and improve the customer service.
