Starrrrrved!
Currently sitting here now. Booked a table for 6pm for a family celebration for 15 ppl. Its now 7.47pm and not one of us has been served a bite to eat. Stomach thinks my throats cut and not even so much as an apology yet! Not even been offered a drink had to go out to the bar to get one Seriously thinking of just getting up and leaving. I wonder if they'd even notice.
Surprise but excellent find.
Not booked but got a lovely table in the conservatory area. Good service and lovely food with generous servings, including fish, burger and steak. Cooked exactly as required. Really a lovely experience all round. Will definitely return.
HIDDEN GEM
The Hotel's tagline is 'Arrive as guests, leave as friends ' and I totally agree. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and so down to earth. Our meal in the restaurant was out of this world, so tasty and great service, as was breakfast. Our room was warm, cosy and very clean, great night's sleep. We will definitely be back!
poor end to the night
went for a family birthday dinner. food was good but service not. when seated no-one asked for drinks order so ended having to go to bar ourselves only to be told it was table service only when pointed out no-one came for order they took order and brought to table. this set the scene for the rest of the evening where we had to go to bar give order to get it delivered to table. there was a long wait for food but we did not mind so much as the company was good. the worst part of evening was at the end after another trip to the bar i asked staff to add the order to the bill and I would pay for everything. I was taken to another till where a bill was produced and I paid for all. some half hour later a staff member appeared at table and said 'here's you bill' none of the usual haw was everything etc. etc. I took bill back to pay point, pointing out i had already settled producing receipt. staff took receipt and given bill to reception where a staff member who identified as the manger came pushed a few buttons on till then said i had paid another tables bill no apology, our fault etc. etc. just you owe us more and you must pay. no offer of a good will gesture just repeating you must pay. a definite spoiler to an otherwise good night so much so that we will vote with our feet and definitely not be back. some staff training required not what is expected in hospitality these days.
Terrible
We had a table booked for 5:30pm, we ordered drinks, starter, main, our starters came after 15 minutes, then our mains took 1hr 45minutes to come, which is an absolute disgrace!! When our food came it was cold and a mess, we barely touched it, we went to pay for the bill and asked if we could get discount for the very poor service, then to be told no!! A sign said wait will be 45 minutes- 1 hour, so we accepted that and give a bit of lenience, but 2+ hours is a joke. Extremely disappointed and will not be back
Great food, awful customer service.
I am posting my complaint online to which the receptionist replied we will pass onto management, but no one got back. That was a month ago. Good afternoon. I'm writing an email to make a complaint of our visit this afternoon at 1pm for a meal. We were seated at 1pm and the service from start to finish was atrocious. We arrived at our booking time and was pointed to our table 'that one at the window.' We didn't recieve a menu or a drink order for 15 minutes. At that point we could see it was very busy but then the service we recieved after that was unbelievable. We got served by a lady with blue and purple hair as we didn't catch her name. She was so very rude towards us and wouldn't let us finish a sentence. She cut my mother off when my mum asked a simple question about a dessert. There was a mess up with starters, one arrived then the next 10 minutes later. When the lady collected our plates she didn't look our direction, not even a smile or how was the food. I am very disappointed in this service. I work in the hospitality industry myself and cannot understand why someone would work in a service role like this and not be kind and polite to customers. On paying our bill she took the payment and didn't even ask how the meal was. There wasn't even a thank you. Food was delicious so compliments to the chef. I would also like to mention a few of the other girls that served us couldn't have been nicer. Thanks.
Night out
Was here last night Saturday 20th January for my mums 70th there was about 30 or so off us the place is really well dressed and finished inside and out it was so busy and was broken up in the best way was harden drinkers lol cut off for the family style restaurant but still had a gratefully open feel the waiting staff were so busy but still were amazing and always present we waited a brave wile for are food and between courses also but the food was top notch.real was the wait wasn't a problem for most off are table just a few not so skinny sisters were getting han--gry lol iam a chef off some 20+ years so take my word when I tell all the food in this place off so good clean tasty
First class service
First impressions were impeccable speaking to my 5 year old daughter first like she was the most important which she is! Reception unreal! Both the gent and the lady made us feel very very welcome. Thank you both! Our room was lovely! We booked a family room and we enjoyed a movie before we went down for dinner. The staff are a credit to this place! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent all round! Well done to all the staff at this hotel you made our stay very enjoyable and I will be recommending!

Stayed for two nights found the hotel to be a hidden gem. Price of rooms best value for Belfast. Had a meal on the first night got to say they don't skimp on the portions and very reasonable priced. Staff very friendly and helpful even though it was so busy. Stayed in a serperior room lovely clean with a massive super king bed which was so comfortable. Breakfast was good but didn't have porridge on the menu only fault I could find. Had a family dinner on Sunday afternoon 18 of us and everyone in the family thought the food was amazing so much we're gonna do the same next year. Overall can't really find fault with this wonderful hotel. Five Stars โญโญโญโญโญ
Awful experience will NEVER be back!
For my parents 25th wedding anniversary I had booked a meal here as this is where they married. I had pre booked and arranged to leave down some balloons and a cake to be set out for us upon arrival . -Got there at 6, table wasnโt ready so they sent us to the bar - they called us at 630 table was ready (it was booked for 6) - table wasnโt dressed they didnโt have the cake or balloons out -had to go looking them and they told me just to lift it and carry it down myself - ordered food waited an hour and 25 mins on it coming out๐ณ - they didnโt bring down steak knifes for me& dad so had to ask for that - one of the steaks was very overcooked and chewy (asked for medium) - couldnโt get the steak replaced either as not one member of staff came near us to check on things -didnโt come near us again so no one could get any drinks , also no water for the table -we sat for 20 mins after we had finished dinner no one came near us again to ask if we wanted dessert or to even lift the dinner plates -also didnโt give us a knife or anything for the cake So dad went out to speak to the manager just to tell him he was disappointed with the service and the manager told him he has no interest and basically didnโt want to listen to a word. So so poorly ran and very unprofessional. Will never use here for a special occasion again. So disappointed

A mixed bag
We booked this last minute due to needing somewhere for a night after flood disruptions. I called to ask if they would reduce the price for 1 night but it was only reduced by ยฃ5. The staff member who booked for me and also checked me in was lovely young guy. Very friendly and helped me with the bags to my room as my husband had not arrived yet. We got room 247. Good size, OK shower, decent amenities. The bed was awful though. Hard, cheap mattress and pillows flat as pancakes so it wasn't a comfortable nights sleep. I got breakfast delivered to the room. Great selection for my coeliac husband. Food was lovely and arrival was prompt. The blonde girl on reception on check out was not friendly at all. Actually rather rude and dismissive. The interior of the hotel in the restaurant, bar and upstairs seating at the top of the stairs is lovely. Nice hotel but some improvements needed. Also a great location to transport and local shops / food outlets.
