Coffee and cake was on my mind when I was visiting the Bryant Park area. Having been several times to Angelina Paris here in New York and in Dubai this was a my choice compared to eating at Ole & Steen. I sat inside the restaurant which was quiet with very few customers. I chose a Framboisier which had a vanilla mousse, raspberry cream and a lemon/almond crunchy biscuit and paired it with a macchiato. Even though the pastry looked artistic, the flavor was bland. Sitting here was serene and calming. The interior is beautiful and I always feel like I am in Paris. The service was efficient and not intrusive. I always find it a pleasure to come here.

Yummy, decadent hot chocolate that takes you back to Paris! Great to enjoy on a cold day while walking in the city :)
Be the first to ReplyOrdered and charged for a Mont Blanc and tracadero.
Came home to see i was given a Mont Blanc that was tasteless and an eclair that was of lesser value than what was paid. Check your order before leaving.

Had such an amazing bridal shower here! The aesthetic & vibe is so perfect if youre going for a classy & chic vibe! The servers were also so accommodating and gladly took many pictures for us and checked in on us! I was worried they wont like a big party being there (because we were playing bridal shower games etc) but they made us feel really comfortable and welcome the entire time! Food was on the pricier side and the brunch entree was good but not a staple item. Their bread and butter is definitely their pastries and desserts! The chocolate crepe was my favorite.

Our recent visit to Angelina Paris left a sour taste in our mouths, quite unlike their supposedly delightful pastries. While the male hostess exhibited kind manners and excellent hospitality, unfortunately, his efforts were overshadowed by the glaring deficiencies in service demonstrated by his counterpart- the blonde hostess, whose lack of attention bordered on disrespect. Despite ordering macarons to share and specifically stating that we were open to a surprise selection, our request seemed to vanish into thin air. The hostess, who couldn't be bothered to remember our order despite passing by our table numerous times, made us feel like an afterthought. The medium busyness of the place hardly excuses such negligent service. One can't help but wonder if our experience was marred by how we don't look like her kind...as the hostess seemed more concerned with other patrons who perhaps fit her narrow idea of clientele. What's more, any chance of redemption was squandered when the hostess returned to our table, not to inquire about any additional orders, but without any word unceremoniously drop the check on our table as though eager to rush us out the door. Even the most modest establishments typically afford their patrons the courtesy of asking if there's anything else they'd like to order before presenting the bill. Our experience was a far cry from the warm, welcoming atmosphere one would expect from a patisserie. Adding to the insult, the pastries we tried were mediocre for NYC standards. We ordered the Opera and the signature Mont Blanc. The Opera tasted like eating kitkat and the Mont Blanc presentation looked unpalatable. Indeed it left us with a "blank" feeling. We could not understand what the hell we're eating. My friend's mocha beverage was rich and decadent and my cappuccino was good. They're macarons? We have no idea, the hostess didn't seem to want us to try them. While the other pastries may be worth trying, the service from that particular hostess leaves much to be desired. In summary, if you're looking for a patisserie experience where your orders are remembered and your presence valued, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. You're in NYC, bringing your French snobbery just doesn't fly...

Absolutely amazing! Hot chocolate & Cappuccino were wonderful. Can't wait to come back & try the food
Be the first to ReplyEclair could have been bigger, and not cheap.
... But worth it. Hot chocolate was the star of the show.

I get the feeling I'm stepping into Paris when I go to Angelina Paris. The food, service, and ambiance is amazing.

I absolutely adore this place! I look forward to going everytime I'm in NYC. The food is fabulous & delicious. Great spot for brunch, lunch, or a quick snack before or after the theater. I will never order another croque monsieur anywhere else. We always try something different for dessert & the pistachio crรจme crepe did not disappoint!
Be the first to ReplyFood: Angelina breakfast: scrambled eggs well done.
Also ordered Brunch: Eggs Benedict with bacon and extra avocado on the side. Both orders were delicious, and very tasty. The well done scrambled eggs were done perfectly. The poached eggs on the Eggs Benedict look like 2 jewels, first time I have seen and tasted Eggs Benedict that look like that. Service: Lola was our server, really nice and professional. An added bonus to the experience. Ambiance: The restaurant has high ceilings and french decor that looks like we transported to Paris. French music at the background, really relaxing. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTart shell was soggy and sad.
Wasn't much paste it was all just cream in the middle. Quite pricy ($13) for the quality of food. Expected more from such a renowned brand.
Be the first to ReplySo I will start by saying this place is gorgeous, the walls
So I will start by saying this place is gorgeous, the walls are stunning, and I could imagine sitting in and imagining you're in Paris for an hour or two. However, I was so disappointed with my experience here. The dine in section closes around 7 even though the place itself closes at 8. I had brought my friend here, telling her it was this beautiful little coffee shop and got her all excited only to be so disappointed that we couldn't sit in on the little section that is truly so gorgeous. I do want to mention that there were about 6 families eating in the section during that time, so we were confused why we couldn't also sit there. The man who told us we couldn't sit in that section was so off putting in his demeanor. We were clearly so excited to be there, but he could care less. He was like shooing us and telling us it's closed in a manner that felt so dismissive and rude. Then there were these two little tables in this small space near the ordering area, which he said we could sit at - it was pretty so we were okay with that, but we were then abruptly moved to this cramped little space by the mirror. He didn't move the guests at the other table, so I was very confused and annoyed. Three layers of disappointment within our first 5 minutes of being there. If my friend wasn't so positive and chill, I would've just left to go to another spot that actually cared about the people who visit. The Mont-Blanc tea was actually delightful and the barista who served us was a very sweet man - these are the only two reasons I'm giving this place 2 stars. My friend loved the hot chocolate, and was very happy about it. The macarons were not as good as I hoped they would be. We also had a pastry, which I forget the name of, and though pretty, it was sadly unremarkable. I've been to many Parisian pastry shops that have left me speechless with their masterful delights, but wow, this place was so disappointing in that regard. I am hoping it was just an off day. I might give this place another chance and come back for brunch some day. Also, please for the love of grace, clean your bathrooms regularly. I was about to throw up, it was so filthy in there! I hate leaving bad reviews, but it really matters how you treat people. The experience is just as important as the food.
Be the first to ReplyNice room, friendly and attentive service.
I was very disappointed in my omelette. The restaurant really leans into being "French" - It is "depuis 1903," and the menu is rather pretentiously printed in both English and French. Even the bathrooms are "les toilettes." For this reason, I expected a traditional soft, thin omelette folded over the filling. Instead I got something roughly the size and shape of a flying saucer, overcooked and rubbery. It was like a very bad airplane frittata. The room is very pleasant and the pastries looked good. Perhaps this would be better for tea or hot chocolate and a dessert.
Be the first to ReplyThe hot chocolate was outstanding, the best I've ever had.
The Mont Blanc was also very delicious. The perfect treat. Very good service. Attractive French decor.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and very spacious.
Perfect location for a casual lunch or brunch to catch up with friend at midtown. The food is beautiful and delicate. The sweet is a little too sweet but very strong chestnut flavor on top, creamy and fresh, crispy bottom, layers of texture, a great match with a cup of black coffee. The cauliflower soup is very tasty. The soup base is creamy, smooth, full of flavor, not salty . Surprised to see so many colors of cauliflower, which is crunchy.

Beautiful interior but as for desserts pretty overrated and expensive. Got their famous mint-blanc but was severely disappointed. It was dry, not even sweet, wasn't really sure what I was eating. Had to scoop out the inside and only eat that part because the outer layer was just not good and my friend who came here with me can also testify. The other dessert which was a sort of vanilla bean mousse was better but couldn't tell if it was THAT good. Hot chocolate was better. Pretty rich and thick but there's better hot chocolate places in New York. Would not come here again.
Be the first to ReplyAs much as we love eating at all the great places.
We definitely miss the feeling of constantly traveling to other countries. Especially, crossing over to the pond to Europe but luckily we have come across a restaurant that takes us right back to Paris! Angelina in Paris is the pick me up if you're missing the fine foods and class of Paris. Amazing tea flavors, breakfast all day and yummy sandwiches and pastries to go along with them! If you have been to Paris yet, will make you feel a little bit of it right in the city!

Love the Parisienne vibe that paintings on the walls, and white table cloths bring to the dining area. I felt transported to Paris with the decor and smells of butter that guided me right in.Stopped by for a light meal with my boyfriend and we got the classic Hot Chocolate, a Butter Croissant to dip in, and a Croque Monsieur to share.Hot Chocolate: (5/5) this was lush, on the thicker side which is as it should be, and not overwhelmingly sweet so you get to enjoy the chocolate flavors a little more. The dollops of whipped cream that tasted like a luxurious whipped white butter condiment elevated the drink even more.Butter Croissant: (5/5) you'd expect it to taste like any other butter croissant but no, the butter used is different and makes this beautifully flaky. This is special. I could have it plain for how great it was or dip pieces of it in the hot chocolate as I intended to. There is no wrong way to consume this yum piece of pastry.Croque Monsieur: (5/5) the buttered brioche glistened my fingers every time I took a bite which was the mark of true indulgence. The butteriness, the savory-ness of the ham and cheese, and the sweetness of the brioche- what a delight! The bright greens and a hint of acidity in the dressing was the perfect palette cleanser which kept me going for more.Trรจs magnifique!Loved all of it! If the food wasn't so rich I would've ordered a lot more but oh well, this just means I need to go back to try more.
Be the first to ReplyI stopped by for some pastry and coffee.
They had some tin giandujas that looked so cute I thought my son would enjoy it. It turned out to be really good and he loved it so much he asked for me to get more of it! I also bought a box of the special flavored tea: oolong with exotic fruits and flower petals, it was very good. Next time I hope I will have time for a sit down experience!
Be the first to ReplyAhh Angelina Paris.
One of the most talked about Parisian imports in New York City. I waited to try this cafe until the hype around it died down a bit- my strategy to avoid the long lines for take out coffee that I read about. A little background about what makes this patisserie unique - the original Angelina in Paris is an institution, been around since 1903 and has had famous patrons like Coco Chanel and Proust. I found myself here on a Tuesday afternoon and I managed to get a table in their inner parlor. The patrons already seated there were well dressed, so if you want to bring your beret out, this is probably the place to wear it to. The wait staff was gracious, accommodating and absolutely lovely to us, helping us decide on our order. We were there for an afternoon pick me up so we didn't get to try out their lunch options. Maybe another time. We got a cappuccino for my friend and the Angelina combo of hot chocolate and their famous/ infamous Mont Blanc. By the way, for those of you curious, they have alternative milk options for their brewed beverages such as oat milk and almond milk. Their hot chocolate is pre-made with whole milk but there is very little milk used to make it. I thought their hot chocolate was a tad sweet, which was surprising because it was dark enough that you could taste the bitterness but the sweetness came through a bit stronger than I would have liked. Again it's a personal preference. I would still recommend it though. I can't, however, say that about the Mont Blanc. I mean, why is this dessert even so popular? I've had three different versions of it, from three very well known French bakeries in my life and they've consistently disappointed me. I can't say that I wasn't warned because you take a gander through other reviews and you see my feelings about the Mont Blanc aren't that far off. It has a thick layer of sweetened hardened vermicelli like chestnut purรฉe which is truly disgusting. The cream filling inside is the only delectable part of it. We barely ate it, wishing we had gotten something else. The Mont Blanc's origins are in the original Angelina patisserie in Paris, so you would think they would get it right but no.So come here for the coffee, the hot chocolate and other pastries. Stay clear of the Mont Blanc.

Overhyped- we got there around 5 pm didn't have to wait too long. Make sure you bring your vaccine cards and IDs.We ordered sandwiches and salads. Tbh the food was sub-par. They do not modify the items since they come pre-packaged according to your server.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time I tried dining in.
Slow service- had to flag the hostess to take my order after 35 minutes and it wasn't very busy. Had a Mediocre lukewarm chestnut crepe- there are better options for dessert in NYC. Take out desserts and hot ch are good but pricey.
Be the first to ReplyWas OK.
Had super high expectations , but wasn't worth the hype. Service was OK. Loved the hot chocolate but personally not a big fan ย of Mont-Blanc. Would still prefer Dominique Ansel over this.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding hot chocolate and mint blanc.
Wish they would expand their take out menu to include actual meals
