Ysabel is a popular restaurant in Weho so wanted to check it out. Their entrance is hidden to the side by valet. Upon walking in, you see an open air layout of the restaurant with their signature staircase to the left. Ysabel gives off a romantic ambiance with twinkle lights in their outdoor patio. We were seated inside, so it was more quiet. l Our Order l Sasha Cocktail ($21) - I was not a fan of the color of the cocktail. It didn't look appealing and the taste was meh. Sophia Cocktail ($19) - The garnish of the watermelon was cute but the drink was very watered down, not worth it. Truffle Fries ($18) - Can't go wrong with truffle fries for a side! The sauces paired well with the fries.Brussels Sprouts ($16) - The brussels sprouts were crispy and the kimchi sauce gave it extra flavor. Hand Cut Rigatoni ($27) - This pasta dish was good but pretty standard. There was nothing that stood out. Mary's Chicken ($36) - It was hard to eat this rotisserie chicken because it was bone in. The sauce and marinate they use was also VERY salty. I didn't want to request for a new plate since the wait was SO long to get our food. Do NOT get unless you want high blood pressure! Lobster Risotto ($38) - The plate didn't look that appealing since the texture was mushy and soft, similar to porridge.Scallops ($42) - Not worth the price for 5 little pieces. Overall, the food was pricey for the portion and didn't taste that great. The only thing I would get again is their truffle fries and brussels sprouts. Service was slow and the food did not come out in a timely manner. Our waitress was never really there and even getting the bill took long. Not sure what the hype is about this place, but I wouldn't come back. Ysabel might be a better option with their brunch menu, but dinner was not it.
