Yard House Boston Reviews from The Last Year
I'm a go 3.
5 stars. The regular 20oz ribeye with side is under 40 bucks . Not sure how that's even possible in downtown Boston. Great value on that dish, was cooked perfect and better quality than one would expect . Service was ok from Bartenders . The layout and atmosphere is great !
food service and ambiance were excellent.
the lighting was great for selfies with my girlfriend. the drink selection is vast and expansive. the food is better than any near peer / similar sports bar in the service industry. the brussel sprouts are a showstopper, but there isn't a thing i've gotten there that hasn't been good. plenty of TV's for any sporting event. staff is attentive. they run a tight ship over at the yard house

Decent pub food (pizza and truffle fries included) and a great beer menu, obviously (menu is legit like reading a book). Friendly, attentive staff. There was just something about this place that seemed dirty/unappetizing. Guess it's the typical high turnover, city bar scene, maybe? Good in a pinch if you're going to a show/game in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here.
Good food; very noisy.
We had such good food and competent service BUT the place was SO noisy that we could not have a conversation. Great blue cheese burger; great seared ahi tuna dish, really good Caesar salad, and fries that were and stayed crispy. Obviously fantastic choices in beers but they also have some decent wines. I am dismayed at the attitude the louder the restaurant the better time diners must be having. We couldn't wait to leave because of the noise. I'm sure they were happy to be able to turn over the table so quickly.
Came here because of the location to our hotel.
It was packed on a Sunday night. We were greeted and seated immediately. Wait, stuff was a bit slow, but again, Sunday night.... The food was okay. Nothing is very memorable.
This is my go to restaurant if eating late and wanting good
This is my go to restaurant if eating late and wanting good / wide selection of food and drinks. Apps I usually would get is the chicken nachos, great for sharing. I usually get a burger with parm fries; all the burgers are taste great, but the whiskey & aged cheddar is a bit messy. I'm also a sucker for bread pudding and Yard House definitely hits the spot. But honestly, the food quality is pretty good so can't go wrong with whatever you pick. If you really want to go hard and drink they have this half yard sized glass that is impressive to look at, more impressive if you finish. Their beer selection is also seems like 100+ options long. The service is good, usually quick and speedy from ordering to getting the food. What I like most though is the device on the table where you can pay and split the bill by items. It's super easy and quick and great for larger groups. They also have these booths that can fit up to 8 ppl which is nice and plenty of TVs having sports games going! Overall, great place for a good time.
Yard House is the perfect place to go to after work, right
Yard House is the perfect place to go to after work, right smack dab in the middle of Fenway, delicious food and tasty drinks. A wonderful spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or pop in for some good food while sightseeing in the city. My post-work vent session meal is always: POKE NACHOS What a tasty appetizer! Crispy wontons as the "nachos", marinated raw ahi tuna diced into bite-sized pieces, fresh avocado, sliced serrano peppers, white truffle sauce, sweet soy ginger sauce, sriracha aïoli, green onion, cilantro, nori flakes and sesame seeds. The ahi is buttery when you bite into it and seasoned well in sauce and spices. A great mix and combo of fresh ingredients for a modern twist on nachos. Delicious! PARMESAN TRUFFLE FRIES I freaking love these truffle fries. They're made with white truffle oil, parmesan, thyme AND parsley. Every fry is fried to gold, crispy perfection and when you bite into it, the middle is fluffy, soft potato-ey inside like a mashed potato, but fluffier. I gobble these fries up everytime oh my gosh, finger licking good. BBQ CHICKEN SALAD This salad is quite literally one of the best salads ever. It starts off with a base of mixed greens then you have the juicy, grilled chicken, the freshly sliced avocado, pasilla, charred corn, sprinkles of cheddar and monterey jack, some slithers of tortilla strips, diced tomatoes, pinto beans, cilantro and topped with fried onions. You can opt out of the fried onions if that's not your thing, but they're totally mine! Think of thin, but crunchy onion rings which is exactly what's on this bad boy. Oh and it's dressed in this really tasty chipotle ranch. I usually get the dressing on the side because I like to control how much dressing I have on my salad, just a personal preference. Now, get a little of everything into one bite and I'm telling ya just an explosion of flavors and textures in your mouth. UGHHHH it's sooo delicious. I could literally eat this everyday. Love it! I love Yard House because you can come here for literally any occassion and the food is on point every freaking time. You want a huge pretzel? They got it! A freaking enormous 32oz beef in a single glass? Yeah they got you! The service is always fast and friendly. They handle small gatherings well as long as huge ones. They're awesome. Highly recommend!
Wonderful, ended up being our favourite bar in Boston ….
Visited the Yard House 3 times in our short stay in Boston, we just kept going back. Ended up there on our last evening and it was the best one of our holiday. Cait at the bar was so friendly and couldn’t have made us more welcome. She was very engaging and entertaining and kept us smiling the whole time we were there. An absolute credit to your staff. We will definitely be back and will be visiting the Yard House again.

Food? Totally fine! Beer? Great Selection! Music? Way the heck too loud. It really dumbs down the dining experience and takes the fun out having a conversation over the table. Turn it down.
Had a pretty great time here with one of my cherished ones
Had a pretty great time here with one of my cherished ones and Nani, our server, was both delightful and attentive! I'd go back to this certain location in the future if asked to. Just not on game/event days according to other reviews. I got to try out the Poke Nachos, Truffle Cheese Burger and Parmesan Truffle Fries, and the Brookie for dessert. I would recommend each of those dishes. Though with that being said, I would say that the food is in fact pretty standard. It's not super high quality, and so, for the price, it's expensive. I get that the restaurant is in an expensive area, yet... Perhaps try going during their happy hour (not on event days per their website). As for drinks, I tried the Pina Spritz mocktail and that was great. I'd definitely suggest that one too. We got there around 9:30pm on a Thursday night after walking over, and the restaurant was moderately full with occupants. We were lucky enough to immediately get a booth for the two of us and it was a smooth experience overall. The restaurant is dimly lit and they have a large bar in the center, with big screens playing various sports games throughout the place. It can get pretty loud for obvious reasons, but when we were here, we were able to speak and listen to one another perfectly fine without having to yell or anything like that. You'll more than likely have to park in a garage or Uber over if you want to come over, since street parking can get quite scarce in the area. Thank you!
The food quality is average for a brew pub like this.
I liked the atmosphere. The service was friendly and helpful. The beer was fresh and I liked their variety of choices!! I'm looking forward to returning....

Always a great experience! We went on weekdays evening and it was packed, but we got seated pretty soon. The food is great here always, and not to forget their beer options!!
Great selection but even better service!
We tried the Yard and had a great time! Crazy busy due to Red Sox/Yankee game but even with that the service was great! Kayla was our server and she was wonderful. Explained options and very friendly. My burger came back rare (not her fault) and after apologies the general manager Wilson brought it back personally. Again, it was crazy busy so we were genuinely impressed and will definitely go back. My burger was great along with sweet potato fries and my husband got carne asada tacos VAMPIRE style! Extra crispy with cheese! Thank you!
Obnoxious bartender
Had one drink post red Sox game. Two fives on the bar. Was planning for a second drink and to leave a heavy tip. Bartender grabbed the cash for the cup and then gave me sh#t that I left my cash on the bar for ‘too long.’ Obnoxious bro. No thanks.
Just average
I had the cheeseburger and my daughters had the chicken macaroni and cheese and the volcano tacos. Nothing really stood out. The beer selection seemed great.
Excellent Food/ Service
Our server Kelsey was amazing. She was very warm and welcoming. Food / drinks super fast, considering it was after the Sox game. Strawberry Grey Goose cockyail was delicious with its fresh cut strawberries at the bottom of the glass. Watermelon margaritas are also a hit. Starter - Spinach dip - pretty good Blue cheese burger with truffle fries devoured it in minutes 😋 House salad...fresh!!
Wear your Red Sox Gear
Place was jumping ,with a Red Sox game about to start . The place is deceiving from the front ,as it’s very large inside ,with 2 bars & multiple seating . Mitchell was our server & he was great ,as we needed to catch a train .Many options on beverages. We just had a turkey club & burger & both excellent. There are entrees but did not try any. Watermelon Margarita is worth a try. You can see Fenway park from the back of restaurant.Fun place for sure

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
