Stylish Indian restaurant in Tanglin Mall
This is high-end Indian food. It's a restaurant inside a mall, but Tanglin Mall itself is a fashionable mall, so this restaurant is naturally high-end as well. There are plenty of delicious Indian restaurants in Little India, but if you want to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, this is a great place to go. The staff were friendly and polite. If this was a standalone restaurant, I'd give it five stars.

Very charming place, excellent service and amazing food! Pay special attention to the pepper level of the dishes! I recommend it and would come back many times.
Be the first to ReplyAVOID at all costs !!!
WTF is wrong with restaurants here these days? Went for a business lunch with 3 others to Yantra at the Tanglin Mall, a place we go to regularly as the food is very good. We were offered a choice of set lunch or ala carte menus, as in the past. Two opted for the set menu while the others chose ala carte. Here's where it got seriously weird ... The manager said that if two chose the set menu, the chef may not cook for the other two who chose ala carte !!!!! What ??? He insisted that all four MUST choose either the set menu or the ala carte !!!!! Or the chef WILL NOT COOK !!!! I have NEVER heard anything so bizarre in my life !!! Have you ????? You must eat what the chef decides or take hike !!! What is wrong with these people ???? Have they lost their minds ??? I somehow don't think I will be going back there with this type of attitude. Maybe they should put up a sign with what their precious chef will be cooking that day ... with a tag of "Take it or go elsewhere" !!!!! P.S. I did try to reach out to the owners ... but they have remained unresponsive. This horrible attitude is clearly top down. 🤬🤬🤬

Yellow dal was just boiled dal with some sprinkling of masala. The naan , tandoori roti size is pathetic.

We visited Yantra, I must say, it was an exquisite culinary experience. From the moment we were seated, we were greeted with warm hospitality by the staff who were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We tried set dinner menu along with cocktail and it was amazing For 2 people it cost roughly 450$, highly priced but worth trying

Indeed the best in Asia with handpicked menu from various regions of India. The taste is unparalleled and authentic.A must visit if one wants to taste the rooted Indian receipes. My most favourite is Butter Chicken ,Maa ki Dal with Makhan and Hyderabadi Biryani
Be the first to ReplyGood venue, service. Food was decent but pricey.
Went to Yantra after their makeover. Place and decor looks great. Very good service too. The servings with some slight fusion may go well with non Indians. We felt it was decent but not worth the price we paid.

We went for a dinner with the family, the service was impeccable and the Tim was the best host! His recommendations for wine and food really hit the spot.
Be the first to Replygreat decor, small food portions, a little staff impatience
Good: Love the decor. The food is delicious. Options in menu is Pan Indian and varied so a great coverage geographically speaking. Serving staff is courteous Sad: Portions are a tad smallish, could be 25% more. Like the daal makhni is really almost like a bowl of soup... err ..Nope. The "big plates" in the menu are sadly not big plates but half plates. Booboo: In a recent team dinner, our team was abruptly told to wind up. Came in as a surprise because the booking did not specify time limit. Nor were we told of any time embargo when we came in. So as soon as we had our dessert, within like 15 min.. namaste.

We are staying at the Shangri-La and the concierge recommend we should try this restaurant. He was not wrong , the food, service, decor and ambience was 5 star +. We were greeted by the two managers , Shanton and Tim ( apologies if spelt wrong) who were very helpful and proud of their restaurant. The staff definitely follow their lead with top service but in a very friendly manner. Our food was amazing , the best Indian cuisine I have tasted. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will for sure be back.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolute flavour filled fantasy night - yummy Yantra.
We have just had the best Indian food EVER! We were too lazy to go too far from our hotel tonight so we ‘settled’ for Yantra. Thank goodness we did as the flavours and service were outstanding. Some dishes we have never experienced before. Totally, overwhelmingly, amazing. We may even go back tomorrow - it is just that good! But certainly, next time we’re Singapore, Yantra will be our first port of call. Thank you for a fabulous flavour-filled night!

Meet on the 25th March 2021: Tanglin Mall, Singapore Quality: 8.61 Customer Care: 8.67 Value: 7.08 Service: 8.42 Atmosphere: 7.45 Overall: 8.05 Yantra IS AWARDED the OCC badge of recommendation Having sampled Curry houses far and wide across Singapore, the OCC Singapore Branch acknowledge that we have not as yet visited one that you would call a Tier 1 – both in terms of price and setting. With our thirst for beers (and sometimes Whisky or Prosecco) and the fact that half the club had become unemployed due to COVID we had been quite price sensitive when it comes to choosing venues. So there was definitely an air of trepidation as we strolled in to Yantra at 6:30pm on a Thursday night. For full transparency, this OCC meet was split into 2 groups of 5 (6:30pm and 8:30pm sittings) to ensure we adhered to COVID dining rules. While the restaurant was empty when the first group arrived we were pleased to see that it was very lively by the time the second group of OCC members sat down for their meal. The prices on the menu were slightly intimidating but the welcome from our brilliant host Senthil was warm and it is a fantastic looking restaurant. Our fears were further allayed when we were shown a very reasonably priced set menu ($58) which would give us a sample of many of the dishes available on the extensive menu which we all ordered with a few extra dishes on the side. Quotes from members… “The poppadoms were like little clouds of heaven in laden with a delicious sauce. 2 more bowls of them please. There were too many other good things to call out individually but I really enjoyed the variety of the meal.” ”The service was superb. The waiter could easily talk through the whole menu without referring back to the chef. Drinks served quickly.” “Lovely” “A very well put together place. I think we got good value but could see it getting tasty if you’re not careful.’ “Loved it. Great service, care and food. Glorious curry all round” Yantra’s excellent score shows how much the club enjoyed visiting and I’m sure many members will be going back. I’d also again like to thank our most superb and welcoming host Senthil who really went the extra mile the whole evening, and also apologise to him for this review taking so long to post!
