Good
Very very poor service. There was a waitress who was probably going through some personal difficulty: she was very unfriendly. The starter was delicious. The meat in the main dish was not well treated and lacked salt... the restaurant is good, but, as it is on the Michelin list, it has 3 stars.
Be the first to ReplyOnion tart €30.90 is frankly excessive
Frankly, an onion tart €30.90 is excessive (if it was good, reheated warm...) Plate 3/4 salad + 1 slice of tart. 1 children's menu, a bibalakas dish and 1 onion tart, without starter or dessert (1 scoop of ice cream with the children's menu) at €93.40 with 2 lemonades and a shandy. Mind-blowing…. Damage

Wonderful food and service. We had yhe onion pie to start snd then the choucroute and bibalakas - all were delicious! Nice wine selection and generous portions - good value for price. Would return, and highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service
Bad attitude from the person who receives you, there is no customer service attitude. The location and facilities are acceptable, the menu is good.

Absolute recommendation! We were served by super nice ladies and gentlemen. The food was great. Best onion cake including salad. Thank you.

Very good address for people who love Alsace! Traditional kitchen ! Nothing to complain about, very pleasant and attentive staff! Mirabelle sorbet drizzled on top We recommend the address! See you soon !

Beautiful menu of dishes, home cooking including desserts. Our dishes (tripe, pork knuckle) were good as were the desserts. Prices a bit high though. Wines by the glass at reasonable prices. Efficient and pleasant service.

Absolutely fantastic dishes! Balanced taste, perfect quantity calculated. Impeccable, professional and smiling service Hats off to the kitchen as well as the staff.
Be the first to ReplyFor tourists in Little Venice
Located in Little Venice, one of the Colmar districts most frequented by tourists, Brenner defends Alsace on the plate in a rather pleasant way. Foreigners pay without blinking the almost 50 euros for the starter - main course - dessert menu. It's good, but for this price we would like even better. And above all, avoid small mistakes, like the vinaigrette that drowns the salad, the half-burnt fried potatoes or the bread that is not fresh. But overall, it's still a good time.

Rustic atmosphere, friendly and helpful service. The menu's attention to Glutenfree is commendable. Wide choice of wines. Overall good dishes but perhaps a little touristy. Prices are definitely out of proportion because for €150 you expect a better dinner, it's fine to spend €30 for the main courses but €23 for any starter is perhaps a bit too much... 6 snails...
Be the first to ReplyJust what I wanted on a cold night
We started off a little shaky. When we arrived the server told us our reservation had been canceled (I had confirmed the day before & had a 15 min reminder text from the restaurant). She wasn’t very friendly when she sat us. However, I’m happy to report things turned around quickly. She came over & talked us through the menu. She and 1 runner/busser had the whole room and they were on top of it. We had very little wait for our drinks, food & dessert. And if we did wait a little bit, we didn’t mind because we could see they were hustling. We started off with escargot (the sauce was divine and I appreciated having bread to sop up all the deliciousness) and salad with cheese and pork (the pork was very thinly sliced like salami). For main I had the pork knuckle which was phenomenal. So tender and flavorful. My husband had the special pork cheek, which he also enjoyed. Creme brûlée was creamy & smooth. Perfect meal for a cold, wet evening. All in all a solid dining option in Colmar. I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this being a Michelin restaurant- to be clear, it doesn’t have a star or a Bib Gourmand recognition. I think this may impact some reviews because it is increasing their expectations. In my case, I thought we had a really fantastic meal with solid service - but if I was expecting a Michelin experience I would have been a little disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyHeavy, unsophistocated food
Food was heavy, too much on the plate, and apart from a delicious starter was terrible. Unbelievably, at about 9.30 the heater and lights were turned off so customers had to leave instead of lingering for another drink. Rude and inhospitable.
Be the first to ReplySO BAD—Poorly prepared food & unfriendly wait staff
SO BAD! So bad, I am writing the review as I sit here. Which is a first for me. In a town with many amazing restaurants & good service, save yourself and avoid this joint! With reservation—20 min wait to be seated, overly-rundown waitress interrogated us about booking before shrugging at a table in the corner that was on top of a handicapped ramp (ie-the whole table and chairs were slanted). Service was impatient & unfriendly, food was WORSE. We love Alsatian food but this was incredibly bad and overpriced. We spent a week in Colmar and this was the only bad meal we had.
Be the first to ReplyMediocre in all regards
Feels and tastes like a tourist trap. Rushed, disorganized service, and bland food of large portions. Boiled pork belly was inedible and fish special was anything but. No cocktails, and no interest or knowledge of food or beverage service by servers. Not sure how they earned a Michelin Star, but it was not based on our experience last night.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous dinner
Excellent restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had a fabulous dinner, particularly the Black Forest desert. The wine list had a very good selection of local wines, including Crémant d’Alsace by the glass.
