This is a very nice restaurant on the shores of Lake
This is a very nice restaurant on the shores of Lake Burley-Griffin. Most tables have a great view of the lake. I arrived without a reservation and as I was a solo diner they were able to accommodate me. My lunch was great. I received the Chef's welcome dish of spicy pumpkin soup along with a hot crusty bread roll. For wine, I chose the Risky Business rose. My entree was served without delay - the Salmon Confit. Salmon was tender and flavours delicious. My main dish was Chicken Breast in a delicate blue cheese sauce, with green beans side dish. It was plated well and delicious. A mango sorbet arrived to cleanse the palette, then I finished off with a light orange dessert. Service is professional, friendly and responsive. I enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you

Canberra's food scene is a bit lacking and painfully overpriced... especially when compared to Sydney's variety and affordability of good food. However, Waters Edge delivers great food and service every time. It's one of the better fine dinning experiences in Canberra and worth a visit.

My partner and I were here with his parents recently for Sunday lunch celebrating our recent engagement. Between the four of us, we tried most of the dishes available for the $77 four course meal, along with ample servings of bread rolls. Most of the servings are quite petite, which is helpful in being able to enjoy everything without feeling too full. Particular stand outs were the goat cheese cloud (starter), quail (starter), barramundi and pork belly (mains) and deconstructed lemon meringue (dessert). I was less of a fan of the texture in the stuffed courgette blossom and the lamb was less flavourful than it could have been. Still, the views are lovely and the service is fast and relatively attentive. This is a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion dining.

Very swanky and fairly expensive spot to eat at, but not bad if you can expense it and a very pretty walk from the north end of Canberra. Despite my terrible job at ordering, most of what I had was good to very good. The bites off my coworkers pork belly were amazing! The foie was in pate form and not seared whole lobe. yelp.com/biz_photos/-fPI…The weird fruity dessert was just okay. I don't remember what others had, but I know I liked theirs more than mine.yelp.com/biz_photos/-fPI…I'd go back.
