Stayed in multiple high end hotels in Las Vegas as well as other places around the world and unfortunately, Waldorf Astoria did not live up to its name. Did my reservation through AMEX FHR and 99.9% I've had positive experiences and the properties have accommodated us with the benefits. This property however was different. First, the 12pm check in was not given even when I contacted them prior that I'll be arriving earlier than usual. It would've been acceptable if they truly stated that they're not able to instead they led me to believe that they could. Then, worse of all... I was tricked into paying extra for a "upgraded" room when the room they gave me was run down, room had a view of the CVS billboard, electronics was not working properly in room, and had random construction noises every 8am. I requested to be moved into my original room but front desk kept telling me that they are "fully booked" It was also a bit of a treck to get to your room coz you had to go up into 2 sets of elevators every day. They also didn't change much and still reminded me of Mandarin Oriental hotel... Overall, my birthday was not as special as I'd like it to be given that I've always celebrated my bday there every year. Thank you Waldorf.
