The food was mediocre although the service was wonderful
The food was mediocre although the service was wonderful and friendly. The ceilings are incredibly tall which made the ambiance feel like you're in a high school gymnasium. It lacks the cozy vibe you'd typically want in a restaurant. If that's not a deal breaker then I'd give this establishment a try.

Finally got to try a few infamous things from the last few visits:Edamame Dumplings - FAVEEEEE and so good!! Never thought I would like a vegetarian dumpling but this it the only one so far I STAN for. Buffalo Cauliflower - also very good, spicy...saucy...and just the right flavors to make you think it's unhealthy - but then again, OBVI it is bc it's freakn Cauliflower. Seasonal - Tuna tartare on top of rice, the fish was fresh and flavors were fair for a very American take on sushi - just too much sauce overall. Salmon bowl - stilll sooooo tastyyy. My salmon wasn't as crispy as the first time I had it, but it was still delicately cooked and well seasoned. Shrimp Salad - this was refreshing and tasty overall, light dressing and all the right veggies to make a well balanced salad.

Not my first time at true food kitchen, and second time at this location. Both visits had similar outcomes. The good*Servers have always been nice*Food is good. Health friendly options with good flavor. They offer something for everyone. My favs are the kale salad, the avo toast, and their poke bowl. *they do serve cocktails-limited but good. The not so good*The wait here is excessive. We sat down and ordered our drinks - we waited almost 20 minutes for a cocktail and a lemonade. We ordered our food and waited almost 40 minutes until it came out. The manager checked in with us and apologized which was nice. Overall, not the best experience at this location.
Be the first to ReplyLove this restaurant! Everything is fresh and unprocessed.
The prices are good, and the service was good. I hope we come back to eat here soon.
Be the first to ReplyA nice place to have a no frills solid meal.
Service and ambiance was good. Price is good as well. Kid friendly.

We were visiting Palo Alto to see our granddaughter at Stanford and decided to check out this restaurant because they have an location in Dallas but had not been there. This location is large probably seat 150 or more diners. It is in an upscale shopping center. They were busy on a Saturday for lunch. We had reservations so it was easier for us. My observation were the following:1. Nice popular place full of people & energy2. Open kitchen and plenty of servers3. We ordered the lemon muffins and they were great.( 10)4. We ordered the brunch / lunch cocktails and they were ok Bloody Mary and mimosa. ( 8)5. Next we ordered the eggs and sausage ( 10)6. I ordered the hamburger, no cheese ( 7) nothing special. Overall expensive for lunch $80 without tip. I would go back to see if the Dallas prices are less expensive.

Came in with my wife on a Friday lunch time to give this place a try . Decor and atmosphere were great , service was ....just ok.They have a pretty large menu and many options look great . We decided to order :1) squash spaghetti bowl - a great option for lunch . Not heavy , vegetarian and tasty . The mozzarella cheese on top was a great addition 2) poke bowl - also a good selection . Mix up all the ingredients and you get a creamy yummy lunch bowl , everything was feeling fresh Portions are not huge and this is not a cheap place , but all in all the different menu options and lunch experience was great . We will come back again
Be the first to ReplyThe food is always amazing here.
Clean ingredients which is perfect for me since I am dairy free & can only eat certain ingredients. We ordered charred cauliflower which was absolutely delicious! Then for mains, my partner had the burger and I had the sea bass. It was delicious and didn't leave us overly stuffed. I also got the tea and now I'm craving it. Busy on a Saturday so recommend putting in reservation on Open Table to ensure immediate seating. Service was great and she was great at answering all my questions.

TLDR; Expensive and very mid bowls, except for edamame dumplingsWith added proteins, the bowls' total cost adds up to ~$30 and they were very mid. It is a bit too healthy for me and the chicken I added was too dry. The edamame dumplings ($14) however, was very delicious and unique! That might be the only thing worth getting from here
Be the first to ReplyNice vegan food options.
I loved the chocolate vegan cake. Food was okay. Place was lit.

I have loved this spot for years! They stay true to their promise of serving only fresh ingredients and use artisan and creative flairs to concoct great food. The bonus is that it's not super pricey and it's fast for the quality you get. I'm a big fan of their edamame dumplings but didn't get that this time. Pictures here is the kids burger and one of their summer cocktails. Both delicious. I especially love that the side is packed with even more protein - hummus and carrots instead of French fries. A great quick stop while shopping at Stanford Shopping Center. Thanks True Food!
Be the first to ReplyOmg this place is so fresh and delicious.
We ordered everything from the seasonal menu...Watermelon salad-- watermelon with grape tomatoes , cucumber and cashews in a curry-like dressing tuna tostadaKorean steak -- served with black rice, bokchoy and mushrooms. All delicious!
Be the first to ReplyWe got there just when they were opening.
All the tables were set and ready. Asked the hostess for a table, she said "we can't seat you for another 1 min... we are not open yet". Huh? I told her "while we are talking 1 min will pass" .."still can't seat you... 1min". What kind of moron is this? The food was marginal but the price @ 2x of what it's worth. If their food is "very good", foods I casually make at home is Micheline 3star
Be the first to ReplyService isn't great at this location.
Waitors keep their eyes down and ignore eye contact. Didn't see our waitress for 20 minutes at a time. When we saw them, they were chit chatting with the hostesses.

Yummy food and nice ambiance. Not the fanciest place for a date but great casual spot
Be the first to ReplyI had the Ancient Grains Salad because the ingredients
I had the Ancient Grains Salad because the ingredients looked so good. My mistake on picking an Asian inspired dish at a non-Asian restaurant. Half of my bowl was the miso glazed sweet potato and although it looked really good with the charred edges, the sauce was overpowering and I couldn't taste the rest of the items in the bowl. In fact, the quantity of the grains were more like the leftovers from a meal- maybe just 1/3 cup. My wedge of avocado was hard and I had to use a knife to cut it. The mushroom was probably 1/2 a mushroom. The cooks need to lighten up on the soy glaze because it is extremely salty. It would have been much better if they just used salt & pepper instead. I couldn't return it because it took 45 minutes to get my food and the restaurant wasn't even crowded.
Be the first to ReplyIt was our first time here & we really liked it here.
The drinks were good we started off with a Blueberry Mimosa & Watermelon Mojito. The Charred Cauliflower was delicious gone within minutes of arriving to our table along with our Spinach & Mushroom Pizza. The portion sizes were on the smaller side. We were still hungry after our meal so order an extra side or entree if you get the pizza, it's more of a personal pizza size. The dessert was rich & decadent, the crust, the mango tart, the whipped cream, & the blueberries was the perfect way to end our lunch date. Always room for desserts & will definitely be back for more vegan desserts!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious healthy food in a cute vibrant atmosphere.
Perfect place for large groups. The beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) options were all very tasty. We loved the edamame dumplings, roasted cauliflower and tuna tostada. The lasagna is great and highly recommend the curry and any of the salads. A really fun option while in the Stanford Shopping Center if you are bored of CPK and Pacific Catch.
Be the first to ReplyTrue food kitchen has everything I was looking for:
True food kitchen has everything I was looking for: convenient parking (mall parking), plenty of outdoor space, varieties of fresh and healthy food, and excellent service! Drinks: Rose sangria, iced green tea; perfect for a hot Bay Area day. Starter: edamame dumplings. Very interesting and light. Main: teriyaki quinoa with a side order of salmon, sea bass; Salmon is very well seasoned. Paperless ordering and payment via QR code scan. A bit pricey but it was worth it!Thank you, Sam for making our dining experience a truly good one!
Be the first to ReplyWent here on a Monday for lunch with a friend.
They're great at making delicious food that's also very healthy. Portions are generous and recipes are unique. Location is convenient in a beautiful shopping center, with lots of parking. Can get crowded on weekends though! Food is also a bit pricey FYI. I recommend you make a reservation through OpenTable. This is a great place to go if you want an elevated healthy meal! I got the Butternut Squash Pizza and was able to finish the whole thing Pizza options change seasonally!

Be the first to ReplyMany of the menu items are delicious and unique ingredient
Many of the menu items are delicious and unique ingredient combinations, and very healthy. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I found some of the food and drinks lack balance--one flavor or texture dominates so that it's hard to finish what you've ordered. This seems to be a common problem with health food places. That, combined with high prices, long wait times, and slow service makes me hesitant to come back.
