Excellent location and menu for business meeting
Hosted a business meeting in the grotto room, 9 people and it was well worth it. Great menu, excellent service, really knowledgeable sommelier. Was a perfect location for a very pleasant work event.

Exceptional food and service! The gnocchi was so delicate and savory. Little pillows of amazing! The pepper crusted filet was prepared to perfection. Sea bass was so fresh, lite and flavorful! This place is a must when you visit boston!
Be the first to ReplyA long time favorite
Service was very attentive. We arrived a few minutes late but they still accommodated us and didn’t rush us. We had the tasting menu offered during Taste of Boston special. My husband enjoyed the chicken & mushroom dish. The veal in lemon sauce was rather tough. A long time favorite restaurant of ours.

Be the first to ReplyAll around excellent
Far and away the best restaurant during a four day stay in Boston. Service, food, wine by the glass, table linens and napkins, heavy silverware, menu choices, it all came together exceedingly well. The value was also great, that includes food and wine by the glass that is served at a larger quantity than most other restaurants without costing more. Next time in Boston I will gladly return to this well managed restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyItalian Dining Elegance
A staple of Boston's oldest neighborhood, Toscano did not disappoint. Tucked amongst cute shops on Charles Street, this divine restaurant served up delicious pastas, veal, and everything Italian! Lovely cocktails and excellent wine offerings paired with outstanding dishes are the best Boston has to offer!

Be the first to ReplyNice experience
Nice Italian restaurant. Many local guests made the atmosphere authentic and nice. Fantastic food. The starters bruschetta and tornado were excellent and so were the main courses. Wine by The glass were really good wines and plenty in quantity. Welcoming and really friendly service. Can be highly recommended.

Be the first to ReplyHighly Overrated
Although it is always packed, but don’t try and get a reservation after 6 PM as they save those spots for their “regulars”! Authentic Italian it isn’t. The pizza tasted like they used frozen dough, the Osso Bucco was drenched in a tomato sauce that had a horrible aftertaste! There are certainly much better Italian restaurants in Boston. This was my 3rd.& last visit!

Be the first to ReplyLinguine pesto
This was a lovely, high-end, Italian restaurant, offering a variety of dishes, including seafood. I had the linguine pesto. Delicious, with plenty of garlic. I hope to return to try their Margherita Pizza and gnocchi. The quality was excellent and the service was good.

Allow me first to praise the bartenders and the staff at this facility as this review does not pertain to them. In addition, the food is generally good and reasonably priced. So why the 1 star rating- the hosts. As you enter the restaurant there are usually two hosts - they basically tell you how long you can stay at the restuarant- in essense you are on a timer. They are abrupt and rude. I have never been to a restaurant that makes you feel so unwelcomed. They are a far cry from the hospitality that is often shared at other Italian restaurants. I am cognizant of the fact that tables have to turn over but to treat paying customers with such disrespect is malignant and rough. Do yourself a favor - find a restaurant on Charles street that welcomes and embraces your business.

We had a wonderful lunch with friends this weekend at Toscano preceding a concert. Roberto, our waiter, provided expert advice on menu items, the daily specials including a grilled seafood selection with grilled vegetables, and wines that perfectly complemented the meal. Service was attentive but never “hovering”. The noise level was low to medium so we had no problem conversing. Among the four of us we tried two seafood selections, three salads and two pasta dishes. No one was disappointed.

We ate at Toscano last night for my daughter’s birthday and it was a 5-star experience from beginning to end. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We ordered the veal milanese and it was delicious. The veal itself was a large portion, very tender and flavorful. Honestly, the best veal dish I have ever had. With so many great restaurants in Boston, it’s hard to know where to go but Toscano is my new favorite. I highly recommend giving it a try! The staff made my daughter’s birthday very special. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

The food was flavorless, the pizza dough was hard and tasted stale…. I thought it would be delicious, the place was pretty that was it
Be the first to ReplyOur Favorite Restaurant in Boston
First time in an indoor restaurant in 2 years, we wanted to get back to our favorite restaurant in Boston for an anniversary dinner, We asked to be seated by the window which faces a busy and colorful Charles St. We were given our table and the staff kept the table next to us empty even though the restaurant was crowded because we expressed the need to be somewhat socially distant. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced considering the quality of ingredients. Our waiter Abraham could not have been more helpful and pleasant. There is a huge choice of entrees besides the best Italian around, You can even split some of the entrees to try a couple of the excellent choices. The entire restaurant staff was excellent... the host came by a couple times to check on our table... a complimentary blue berry pie came with a candle for dessert.
