Solid family-style italian
Enjoyed a comfortable dinner on Friday night - walked in at 6 and was able to find a table for 5. Staff was wonderful. Enjoyed the chicken parm, while others had the eggplant and mozerella and pasta dishes. Warm atmosphere buzzing with people.

I have frequented this establishment but not since Covid. I decided to dine there with a few coworkers as I absolutely love their frozen bellini. My party consisted of a nice mix of multicultural people of whom we are all professional and work at one of the Hospitals in the area. We dined early and were seated quickly as the rush had not started as of yet. A short while later a Caucasian couple were seated next to us and immediately you could tell the female was uncomfortable with our presence. The woman was nearly sitting on her partners lap as if our table was contagious. We were not loud or inappropriate in any way, shape or form. They quickly left the restaurant and another party was sat there who asked to be seated at another table and moved. It was really hard not to notice that based on our appearance others were uncomfortable being seated next to us. Little do they know we are health care hero's who may have contributed in some fashion to the care of a friend, family etc. We chocked this up to clearly what is was and sadden that we are still having to face situations like this. Our server Fiona is someone who I would also like to point out. As soon as we were seated we were approached about our meal options and given a menu to review the specials on our own. Meanwhile at another table she took the time out to verbally tell then what the specials were. We ordered appetizers and were forced to also order our entrée as according to her the kitchen can take more than an hour to prepare our meal. I expressed not wanting to rush this experience as someone in our party had never been there and asked her not to bring our entrée out so close to our appetizers. Well needless to say, this did not happen. We were not done with our appetizers before the entrée was already being brought to the table. She was not friendly and really needs to access a table and listen to the customers instead of doing as she pleased. Sadly, I am unsure if I will return. On the plus side, the bartender was very nice and the frozen Bellini's were very good. If you do not have thick skin for clear racism, do not go here.
Be the first to ReplyMixed Reviews - Simple To Go Order
The staff was very accommodating in taking a walk-up to-go order. They were extremely busy but polite and willing to answer a few questions, as I had never been there before. They forgot to include my dessert in my order, which I didn't notice because there were three items in my bag, as I had ordered an entree, a side and a dessert. The third item in the bag was bread, however. Additionally, I think the pricing and the portions are a bit off, and could perhaps be modified to better serve a customer. I paid nearly $10 for a side of mushrooms and received a very large box of sauteed mushrooms. The first thought might be, "Great! Large portions!" However, I don't want a pound of mushrooms, I want a simple side of mushrooms. I would rather pay half as much and get twice as much. I do not know what person would sit and eat a pound of mushrooms. Makes the meal add up to being exorbitantly expensive. Overall the food was fine. Not great, not terrible. Between missing a part of a simple order (for one person) and feeling like I overpaid dramatically, I give two stars. I hope this feedback helps.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food, Great Service!
Visited with husband and 2 children aged 12&16. Our first family trip to NYC from the UK. Staff brilliant, very attentive and helpful. We ordered Calamari, Caesar Salad (made fresh at the table) Meatball Spaghetti, Chicken Parm with sides of Potatoes and Veg. Tiramisu for dessert. Every bite was amazing, super big portions so took plenty home in a doggy bag! Really friendly quick service. Can’t recommend more. 5*

We had dinner on a Saturday night. It was very busy but we had a reservation and were promptly seated. The food is served family style and very reasonably priced. Also, everything is ala carte Everything was delicious and service was great. Would definitely return
Be the first to ReplyWant Italian, well worth visiting
Fantastic find just off Broadway and Times Square. Booked for our group of nine friends. The place was noisy and packed. Just as we had imagined an eatery in NYC to be. An enormous number of servers were constantly floating around and service was fantastic. Plenty of choice, portion size of the sharing platters was ridiculous! Each seemed to be able to serve three people. The only downside was that some of the dishes were tepid and not warm enough. But probably could be accommodated, given how busy the restaurant was that day. By the relatively very high prices across New York this place was a positive bargain and well recommended. Do not get sucked into ordering the ‘mile high Tiramisu’ it is huge and was shared amongst five and still had a lot left on the plate. Go and give it a try….

This was an excellent place to share dishes and each dish was quite magnificent. We had the chicken marsala, which every drop of the sauce was soaked off that plate by the end of the evening. We have a wonderful fish that was delightful with potato wedges and broccoli and then a simple rigatoni with red sauce. The salads made at tableside was a show and delicious(Caesar and also Tricolor salads). The crowning glory of the evening was a tiramisu tower with espresso liqueur and that was photo worthy. Great place when you want to share dishes family style. Service was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyLovely meal, great service just a little pricey.
Visited NYC from the UK and this restaurant came highly recommended. It was myself and 2 kids (13 and 15) and we had both staters and mains. We all loved the food and the service was friendly and attentive. Would visit again, the only thing that could improve things would be a little better value for money. This ended up being our most expensive meal of the trip.
