Time Out Market Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Outstanding Food and Service at Time Out Boston
We visited the Time Out Market in Boston for a midweek lunch and it was superb. Due to the time, it was very quiet - leading to rapid service times, and a laid back atmosphere, creating a pleasant experience. This was further complimented by some truly exceptional food. The classic margherita from Lala’s Pizza received high acclaim from a member of our party - ‘the best pizza he’s ever had.’ The Mexican restaurant - Taqueria El Barrio, was also very strong. Price-wise, it’s certainly upper mid-range, but this was worth it, with the chicken and pork carnitas tacos (in corn tortillas), being the biggest hit. The carne asada was not quite as good, but the superb flavour from the pork counteracted this swiftly. The nachos are recommended as well. The range of food was excellent, with a strong variety of main meals and dessert treats. The best dessert was a flavoursome doughnut from Union Square Donuts - a perfect treat. From an allergen point of view, the corn tortillas allow a person with a gluten intolerance to eat at Taqueria El Barrio, alongside other options at Anoush’ella. There is no gluten free pizza bases, however. Time Out Market in Boston is excellent, would highly recommend.

time markets are always a good concept but not always the best vendors. easy to sample multiple options but also pricey. hit or miss cuisine choices but area is good to hang with friends
This was a nice place to find something to eat.
Plenty of choices of food and drinks. Had poki bowl which was satisfying and delicious. Setup like a large food court but with a much finer dining experience. Plenty of large community style table seating.

A great place to meet up with people to grab a bite or drink. The variety of food stops makes it easy for everyone in a group to find something to enjoy. The speciality seasonal drinks are always good. Things can be a bit pricey but it's pretty standard for the area. There's always staff coming around to pick up unused/finished plates- sometimes you don't even notice them come by. The outdoor seating and indoor area is really spacious so you can almost always find somewhere to settle down.
Food hall covering quite a variety of cuisines.
I still have many more places here to try but I have fallen for Cusser's lobster rolls. I have tried many in Boston, but ironically, it's this little place here that simply has the best. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 9/10 Great vibe for casual dining with friends, meeting up with people, even a date, haha! It is chill and has many options so if you have a group of diverse tastes, everyone can get their fill here without somone being left out. SERVICE: 9/10 Mostly self service, grab your tray kind of place with workers that are strolling around to help out. I found service here great. FOOD: 10/10 Cusser's Hot Lobster Roll - 10/10 - Simply the best lobster roll I have had in Boston, and believe me, I have tried many. The bread is nice and buttery, the lobster is perfectly done with the right amount of butter. It's not overly soaked but also not dry. Cusser's Cold Lobster Roll - 9/10 - Similar to the above. Personally I prefer the hot version but this was good too. VALUE: 8/10 A lot of Time Out places I would say are pricey, but Cusser's was pretty fair. PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 10/10 TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: OVERALL: 9/10
Really good place for a quick bite to eat in the Longwood
Really good place for a quick bite to eat in the Longwood area. It reminds me of a fancier style food court. There's lots of options-- Mexican, Mediterranean, Burgers, Pizza etc... from what I've had, everything's been delicious. It's on pricier side, but every once in a while if you're in the area I'd go for it. Pictured is a chicken quesadilla and mezze platter, both tasty and consisting of quality ingredients. Check it out!
A little pricey, but delicious every time.
I go to Simmons and I love having a place like this nearby! My go-to is the mediterranean platter - I love the variety it gives me to try. I've tried pizza, gelato, burgers, and so many other things. Everyone will find something they like here! Everything is always served very timely, and the employees throughout Time Out are so nice and polite. It is a little bit loud, so it can be difficult to hear then people you're with, but it's a great spot in Fenway for good food and good vibes.
Love the Time OutMarket
Love the Time Out Market. The food is very good and where else can you go and everyone in your group can get a different type of meal? All good quality The only weak spot is that liquor is not very good. Bartenders are distracted and drinks are minimal. Having been there at least 5 times, i stay away from the bar.
Lively and delicious
Our family enjoyed Morning coffee and a lively dinner setting at Time Out Market. There is a very broad selection of dining options and the standard was good. We went back!
Taqueria el Barrio .
.. they have ppl taking orders that don't understand a thing you are saying? I mean there are other positions for people like this ... not being mean, not being rude just simple customer service. When the order came out wrong ... she didn't offer to make me a new order. Nothing just looked at me and smiled. Great!
I love Time Out Market! It is a great community food hall
I love Time Out Market! It is a great community food hall with a lot of variety! There are options for everyone and caters to a lot of different dietary restrictions, with multiple options (Asian-fusion, Mediterranean, Mexican, Southern comfort food, Italian, etc.). A lot of the places have been there consistently for the past few years, but some places end up popping up, so there is a lot of options from delicious meals, to donuts and gelato, to grabbing drinks with co-workers or friends. It is a bit pricey, but that also varies by the location. Most places, a solid meal is ~$20+ per person, which is up there considering sometimes the portions are not the biggest. This is highly variable, depending on what items you're looking for too (I'm looking at you sushi tacos...!). So really, my only con since sometimes it can be super overpriced. Still delicious, but definitely keeps me from going as much as I would if it was more reasonably priced. The interior has lots of seating, and surprisingly a lot of outdoor seating too. This makes it easy to come here with friends, co-workers, or even just by yourself and find a spot relatively easily. Inside, it can get loud though! Between all the different conversations to music playing in the background, it can be a lot sometimes - almost to the point where it feels like you have to yell across the table. That can be overwhelming, but also somewhat expected for the type of environment it is. It is a fun place to hang out and check out the seasonal offerings around the Fenway area. There is always something going on, and Time Out Market makes for a great meet-up place. During the peak of Red Sox season, it can get super crowded before games, especially the afternoon games. The Trillium beer garden is the spot that gets the absolute busiest. So be mindful of that if you're looking to avoid the super crowded times.

Husband and I visited before seeing John Oliver at the MGM Fenway. We eat got food from different stands and it was all bomb!!

Recommended: Absolutely, for its variety and vibrant atmosphere. Overall: A culinary playground offering something for everyone, with an exceptional beer selection and family-friendly vibe. Snapshot: Food: 4/5 Drink: 5/5 Vibe: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Family-Friendly: 5/5 Highlights: -Perfect For: A diverse dining experience catering to all tastes -Don't Miss: The Trillium taproom and the gogo ya Sushi taco -Bonus Tip: Great for families, with plenty of space for strollers and a lawn for kids to play. All The Details: Time Out Market in Boston is a place that truly has it all. Whether it's food or drinks you're after, they've got you covered with an impressive cocktail and beer selection. The Trillium taproom, located right on the front lawn, offers some of the best New England IPAs in the world. The array of vendors provides a mix of traditional lunches and creative culinary delights. While it's tough to compare each dish here against the best in local restaurants, the flexibility, especially for larger parties to choose what they want, is unmatched. The atmosphere is lively and open, making it super family-friendly. We navigated easily with a stroller, and the front lawn was perfect for my daughter to run around and play. Among the food highlights was the GoGo Ya Sushi taco - flavorful and fun, though a bit pricey for the size. Service varied - gogo ya was quick, but others in my party waited nearly 40 minutes for tacos from a stand with no line. Despite these inconsistencies, the overall vibe, variety, and family-friendly nature of Time Out Market are unparalleled. I'm eager to return and explore more culinary options.
Nice location and selection of dishes.
I got the truffle Mac and cheese ($18). While it was good, I wish there was a stronger truffle flavor. It's a bit packed at night, but there's still open tables.
There are so many options to choose from and so much energy
There are so many options to choose from and so much energy in the building. The bar is a but limited but the service is solid. Gets crowded on the weekend/game night but worth the crowd. Plenty of vegan options as well. My favorites are union square donuts, Taqueria El Barrio, and Gogo Ya
Too loud!
The food is average and the price not too high, but unless you'll find a place outside, inside is too loud and impossible to have a conversation with your friends.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
