First and foremost customer service was amazing.
Personnel was professional, carrying and attentive. Especially Camilla, who spent time explaining everything the hotel has to offer and even went above and beyond to send a personalized card and treats to congratulate on our anniversary. Other members were very welcoming and made us feel welcomed. ***** Hotel overall was clean but a bit outdated; even if trying to present an antique look, a remodeling could help bring out the character. *** Food selection/option were limited, overpriced and nothing really memorable. *** Would we come back, definitely. Sometimes customer service can overshadow small shortcomings.

This is a beautiful hotel and I would recommend it over any other hotel in SF. The service and staff go above and beyond anything you need. Kindness really goes a long way and it is hard to find that when traveling recently in the U.S. I would come back to this hotel based off of that alone. The hotel itself is immaculate and very clean. Our room on the club level was nice and comfortable with a fantastic view of the bay and Coit Tower. The food and service in the club room was wonderful, we felt very welcome.
Be the first to ReplyI've been lucky enough to stay at several Ritz-Carlton
I've been lucky enough to stay at several Ritz-Carlton locations over the years, but a recent stay at the San Francisco property was truly exceptional. Yes, it's a lovely hotel in a great location, but the staff here went far above and beyond any of my expectations. Rose and Aaron reached out to me a few days before my stay to ask me if I had any questions or requests. I let them know that we would be celebrating a milestone birthday for my husband. When we checked into the hotel, we were greeted with a (very) upgraded room, cupcakes and a card, and what felt like every staff member in the hotel wishing my husband a happy birthday. There were little touches, too: when we picked up our EV from the valet, we noticed it had been charged for our drive home. Needless to say my husband felt extremely celebrated and we will be returning to this property at our earliest convenience!

A lot of things are expensive in San Francisco just because it's San Francisco, and you chalk up the extra price to it being a coastal city. The Ritz does cost more than the average hotel, but in this case it's so much more than hotel stay. It's an experience that is so worth every single penny. Also one of the select Ritzs with the club level that includes food. Omg. Love this place.

I was walking down the street recently and noticed several of your employees following, harassing, and putting hands on a single man who was just taking pictures of historical buildings from the public sidewalk. This is extremely unprofessional and un called for. I hope the matter is addressed to the staff and an education is established. The language that the employees used was vulgar and belittling. The man with the camera never spoke a word. I would never stay at a place with violent foul mouthed employees that carry on without consequences, and neither will anyone I else I know.

I absolutely adore staying at the Ritz, and this might just be my all-time favorite experience. The hotel exudes a museum-like charm, and the staff consistently exceeds my expectations. The fragrances from the lobby to the elevator are simply heavenly. Whenever I've visited, I've had my car valeted, and I've never had to wait long. A simple call ahead of time, and by the time I reach the lobby, my car is ready to go! One highlight of my stay was the tea time with Veuve this past summer. It was a serene and relaxing experience, with a touch of French elegance. Live music added to the ambiance, making it feel like I was savoring summer in Europe. The rooms, whether it's the junior king suite (a lovely upgrade) or the regular king room, are spacious and well-designed. The separate bathroom is a thoughtful touch, ensuring comfort even when there are two guests. When it comes to dining, I've enjoyed both evening drinks and breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The standout for me was the delectable sauce that accompanies the burger. They allow pets - my dog has accompanied on the stays there. Here are pics and videos - need to find more pics!

Juan-Manuel and Leonardo made our stay both a memorable one as well as fully exceeding our expectations! Such an iconic property and the service was impeccable! Kudos to the Ritz Carlton team!! Thanks and we look forward to our next visit!
Be the first to ReplyClassic beautiful hotel in SF.
Never stayed here until today. It's an older building, but it has character and history. Customer service is also great although they didn't check us into our room until past the supposed check in time. Rooms are large, and comfy. Overall a great spot.
Be the first to ReplyI came here for the Teddy Bear Tea.
I was extremely satisfied with the customer service. They went up and beyond my expectation by making sure my little one had a great time. They made sure my champagne was filled and that I had a good time as well. They were very attentive to my needs as well. This was something I didn't see at St Regis, and hopefully they'll be a bit better with little kids. I can't wait to return for next year, and the food was so tasty. The scones were memorable. Their decor was also one of the best I've seen out of the major hotels in SF. I visited St Regis and Four Seasons recently. I can't wait to return.

Food at the Ritz Carleton San Francisco restaurant was absolutely amazing. The ambiance is also what one would expect at such a high-end resort. Our talented server Jenny G was an absolute pleasure and Daniel, the Beverage Manager made sure to make our experience tremendous. The only minor detraction was the Tiramisu was a little dry. Can't wait to come back. Five stars all around!
Be the first to ReplyAlways wonderful.
I can't wait to return. The room and service is always as expected. The tea time is something everyone should experience . I wil say they make the best dirty martinis on the Nob.
Be the first to ReplyNice historic hotel.
Classy. The bellman greet you when you pull up in tuxedos and are there to help you in any way. Rooms are plush. There a really high end wine bar, JCB Lounge I would recommend if your a wine lover.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco during the past holiday season, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. We used AMEX FHR to book and were upgraded to a spacious and luxurious suite, which exceeded our expectations in every way.But what really made our stay special was the outstanding service from every single staff member we encountered. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff, everyone was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to ensure that we had a memorable holiday stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable - soft but supportive - and we all slept soundly each night. The attention to detail was impressive, as demonstrated by the thoughtful welcome gifts for our girls - a backpack with a stuffed animal and a gingerbread cookie decorating kit with hot chocolate. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant decor and festive holiday touches that added to the magical atmosphere. From the beautifully decorated lobby to the holiday-themed decorations throughout the hotel, everything felt cozy and welcoming. The only thing we missed was a pool, but honestly, everything else was so wonderful that it didn't matter.Overall, we can't recommend the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco highly enough, especially for a holiday stay. It's truly a top-notch hotel with a staff that goes above and beyond to ensure a truly exceptional experience for every guest.

We visit the City multiple times a year and usually stay at the Marquis but decided to try the Ritz this time and I don't think I would stay anywhere else from this point on.Impeccable service from the moment you arrive and everyone is so nice! This makes a huge difference on vacation.Rooms are beautifully appointed, very well sized for the city with calming decor. We had a view of the Coit Tower which was so pretty at night.Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very, very quiet with no City noise whatsoever.Lovely big bathroom with Diptyque bath products. Only thing that would have been nice was an extractor fan as those windows stayed fogged forever post shower! They have an on-site restaurant, cocktail bar, room service and well appointed mini bar!Wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

I would like to thank Daniel Delgado the Manager of The Lounge as this is my 2nd time spending my dinner at the lounge, I was very delighted, grateful how professional and gentleman he is as soon I arrived and already knew my table spot, thank you so much for making my dinner so special and also to Stephanie , Elsa and the other Asian guy with the glasses my apologies for forgetting to ask his name, I would like to express how thankful and happy I am and looking forward again to see you guys soon! God bless you all.
Be the first to ReplyOur family has stayed at this Ritz many times and we love
Our family has stayed at this Ritz many times and we love it. The hotel staff truly takes the time to get to know visitors. Very comfortable beds, really just love how soft they are. Decor in the room is updated. Views from rooms are beautiful of the city. Bright windows at day and the best dark out curtains for mornings. The Ritz definitely has it right for children and families. For our children we have a tradition of room service desserts.. always we order The BEST huge chocolate chip cookies here. The cute tigers for kids is a great souvenir. Walkable to China town, the trolley stops nearby making it fun. We love the turn down service. You're being out in the city walking must day to come back to our room and turn down service is a little slice of refreshed happiness. Best chocolates on the pillow.
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed here for three nights.
Service was great. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was super nice and they try to make a point to address you by name. The decor of the hotel was elegant. We had a nice stay. The only thing that was a little off was the toilet, it was smaller than average. The one thing I do want to praise and point out was the person at the check in counter. I'm not too sure of his name, I think his name is Jose. He was very nice and went above and beyond his duties for us. We were very touched of his kind words. He accommodated our request. Thank you Jose!

As a business traveler, the best places for me to stay are ones that bring the comfort and assurances of home. I know that I can count on this RC to be impeccably clean with abounding warmth and kindness. My recent stay was for five days. It's darn near impossible to have a flawless stay for that long. There was a minor blip on the radar screen during my stay- a true miscommunication. It is said that it's not the difficulty that defines a relationship. It's how you rebound from it. The ladies and gentlemen were on it. The matter was resolved in no time. This stay, like all others I've had, makes me look forward to my return trip.

Came here to stay because of a funeral that I had to take care of. The place is really elegant and they take great pride in remembering your name. The staff is really amazing and totally took care of us and were very sympathetic to our situation. The clerk Jose was very thoughtful and caring. He was very respectful and totally appreciated it. They had upgraded our room and also left a welcome gift and some wine for us in our room. The room was nice but my wife noticed a hair on her pillow. The cleaning lady was in the hallway and took care of it right away. She totally apologized for it. Glad to get a new case. The wifi was not good in our room and I did ask about it two times. I was even connected to the high speed internet which is what we were supposed to had anyway because of my status and it was still very slow, kind of horrible.Another problem was their toilet. The seat was very small and uncomfortable for me. I asked the front desk about it and she told me that all the toilets in the place were all the same. I thought the bigger rooms might have a different one but she said she would check on it but I never got a follow up on it. We were staying several days here too. The car valet and the doorman were very professional to. They did an excellent job. Like I said the staff is amazing, thanks
Be the first to ReplyExtraordinary stay.
From the moment we arrived it could not have been grander. If you book through Amex FHR, we received a welcome letter, a great upgrade into an enormous suite (we booked non hill suite and got upgraded into a spectacular corner executive suite with 2 bathrooms! Room service was top notch, the Cesar salad with prawns and steak frites came out perfectly, and later a marvelous cheeseburger with the macrons. For breakfast get the pancakes in the restaurant! Best pancakes of my life. The staff is absolutely incredible. Make sure to bring about $100 in 20's for tipping because the staff is so on point if you don't have money for tips you'll feel guilty. Loved this hotel, loved the experience. Can not wait to come back.

Spent Galentine weekend with my girlfriends , The moment we stepped foot from our Uber we were swiftly greeted by two gentlemen opening our car doors and placing our luggage in the luggage cart . At check in was not as smooth as we would hope for. Waited almost 30 minutes to have the front desk sort out some kinks.we stayed in the Club Lounge our concierge Leo was there to greet us as soon the elevator door opened. Our room were beautiful , love the color choice , mix of blues, silver and marbles . Our room had a hint of musty BO smell when we entered, we spritz some perfume to mask the funk . After we settled in our room , we decided to wonder in the club lounge had dinner and some drinks . Leo our concierge was there to help make Frappuccino / cocktail for my friend . Leo helped made reservations for us for party of 12 to dine down stairs at the Lounge for dinner the next day .The club lounge all day access 7am-10pm for drinks , alcohol, food is included with our room, to invite a guest is $150 additional per person /per day . The Club Lounge access complimentary Wi-Fi , in room breakfast , tea/coffee delivery and two laundry item pressed service per room/ per day . We took advantage of the complimentary three meals available during our visit. Food presentation, buffet settings area were well kept and clean. Food were proportion small bites , like at a tapas bar. It was a perfect size for us, we were able to taste a little bit of everything . We were warmly greeted and attentively served by Leo, Luis, Zeny and Vicky they anticipated our needs throughout our entire stay . They provided us with excellent personable service. We also had the opportunity to mingle with 12 of our friends at the JCB wine tasting room down stairs before dinner on Saturday. Zeny and Vicky packed us snacks of goodie bag for our flight home. Thank goodness for the snacks, our flight was delayed and was able to munch on the treats while we waited to board.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was perfect, as always.
This review is about the restaurant. It was. Perfect of course. My table really loved the Brussel sprout appetizer. I loved the potato leek soup. After dinner i had a bit too f a feminine "issue@ and needed products. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing. He guided me to the little store in the lobby. After purchasing, he put the box in a cute little ritz Carlton bag. Even though it was handled perfectly, why does the Ritz not keep these products stocked in bathroom in my room ?
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I stayed here for our anniversary a few
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary a few years ago and the level of customer service we received was unreal. We were new parents and traveling with a young toddler so as you can imagine, we were exhausted. However, we were intent on having an anniversary celebration between the two of us. Immediately upon arrival at the hotel we were surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to the floor of their club lounge. Needless to say, the special treatment by the staff did not end at the front desk. The gentleman whom was the club lounge concierge was phenomenal and found ways to make our stay that weekend even more wonderful. For example, while having lunch at the lounge he brought an activity pack over for our son so that he would be entertained while his parents enjoyed a rare quiet lunch together. Then that evening the concierge sent lavender baby bath items to our room which helped our son rest easy, allowing my husband and I the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine together. It was the small, very thoughtful gestures by the staff that truly made this one of the most memorable of trips for us and we will forever be grateful.
Be the first to ReplyGetting a complimentary upgrade to a bigger corner room was
Getting a complimentary upgrade to a bigger corner room was awesome and 4pm late checkout as their platinum member is always appreciated. The room was spacious for the location. Beautiful marble tiled bathroom and always love the disposable slippers. I am used to Asian hotels where they provide you disposable slippers so it is so great to see that in America. Lil hiccup as our requested pack and play did not get delivered first time but they delivered promptly second time around and left a chocolate and Christmas music on....nice touch!Note: if you are taking Stockton St. on foot to get to the hotel, it is located over the bridge. So do not go thru the tunnel.
