Short break.
Just returned from a super 3 day stay. We had a room suitable for our dog which was beautiful. I have to say the service and friendliness of all staff was amazing . Great food and the breakfast is fantastic.Beautiful scenery and well worth a visit.

Be the first to ReplyFive star luxury without the stuffiness. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
An amazing place! We had last been 24 years ago so were anxious in case it didn't meet expectations. It exceeded them in all areas. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable. The food was out of this world. We had dinner both nights and although I was there for the langoustine, even that was bested by the Bouillabaisse which was incredible. Thank you to everyone.

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Pierhouse celebrating our wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and could not have done any more for us. The scenery was amazing, we crossed on the Ferry to Lismore and we saw two sea otters hunting by the shore just 5 minutes walk along from the jetty. We ate at the restaurant both nights and were blown away by the seafood menu. We will certainly be going back.
Be the first to ReplyAn Absolute Gem
What a little gem!! We had a little hiccup at Check In but that was quickly sorted out by Vil, the manager on duty. Beautiful sea views over Lismore and the rugged beauty of the Morvern Peninsula, this is a lovely relaxed venue where you can sit and chat over a lovely drink or have very interesting and scenic walks before sitting down to some of the freshest and tastiest seafood that you are ever likely to experience. Some would class the rooms as small but they are beautifully furnished and totally practical with a very comfy bed!!! A place where you can while away the hours, clear your mind and recharge those rundown batteries. As Arnie would say 'I'll be back'
Be the first to ReplyAmazing location
This is my new favourite place in the world. The service was amazing and the staff really friendly and welcoming. Such a unique location. Weather was awful but we were soon warm and enjoying lovely lunch. We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Stay
Really nice friendly hotel. Amazing locality, fantastic staff and great food. Unpretentious, cosy, welcoming and to be recommended. Only thing that stops me from giving a 5 out of 5 is that it is quite expensive for what it is ie a 3 star hotel.

I have just returned from 2 fabulous nights in the Pier House hotel. Room 8 with a fantastic view to Lismore and Shuna. We had a warm welcome and we're shown to a beautiful room. Cosy, comfy bed and lots of nice touches like Tunnocks Caramel wafers! The food at the Hotel is outstanding and is served in good portions. Loved the log fires. A special thanks to our dinner server David who even helped me out with some reading material from his own home. Staff were all really friendly. We would love to come back in summer months. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend

Warm and friendly atmosphere, we have stayed a few times and always enjoy it. The hotel staff are helpful and professional .Good food, great views and cosy rooms. Perfect for a romantic short break. You can get the passenger ferry to Lismore too .

Long bumpy drive to get here but my goodness it was so worth it. Breathtaking views, calm, comfortable and the best food. Amazing seafood even for breakfast and the best dessert I’ve ever had made with cinder toffee. I can’t wait to return here
Be the first to ReplyStunning location and fantastic staff
What a lovely hotel. Made even more so by the fantastic staff and of course the stunning location. Thanks to an unexpected and very welcome room upgrade, we also had a view over to Lismore which was amazing. We were really looking forward to the seafood at dinner but it is was the cheese soufflé starter that stole the show! We’ll be back..
Be the first to ReplyGreat visit to the Pierhouse Hotel
We had a fantastic stay at the Pierhouse and thank you for the room upgrade. All of the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Despite the very cold and stormy weather the hotel was warm and cozy and it was great to watch the waves from the windows in the bar and restaurant. Our evening meal was excellent and the following day we managed to eat fair amount from the great breakfast menu.

Look forward to returning in future for another break to the Pier House Hotel in Port Appin. High standards, great customer service from all staff who are friendly and welcoming, great chef - best dinner out we have had in a while, has been awarded Two AA Rosettes again 2022-23. Dog-friendly, made our dog most welcome. Lovely setting with fabulous west coast sea views to front, including from most tables in the restaurant. Perfect!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing return visit
We stayed at the Pierhouse with friends in October 2022 and couldn't find fault with this hotel. The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and the food and service excellent. We were so looking forward to our return trip last week and the accommodation and welcome from the staff was still first class. However, unfortunately, the food did not live up to previous standards, particularly the the main and dessert courses. The menu had changed somewhat since our last visit and the stunning desserts we had in October were sadly no longer available. The creme caramel we had was bland by comparison. We both had cod in a lobster bisque which was adequate but the chips we selected to accompany the meal were poor. We would love to return but wonder if there has been a change of personnel in the kitchen.

We absolutely loved our one night stay at Pierhouse. The sun was shining, views incredible and the hotel was perfect. All the staff were really friendly, food was great as was the standard of the room. We have been lucky enough to stay in lots of hotels and this is definitely up there amongst the best Thank you everyone ! We can’t wait to return

Just returned from overnight stay in beautiful Port Appin. Weather was amazing so it was “Scotland at its best “. The Pierhouse is a Scottish gem and is truly lovely to chill and relax. I received a lovely room upgrade which was very very comfortable , a birthday cake and real genuine kindness from the staff . Food is lovely , very good wine list and a gantry to make your liver creek !!! Big mention for staff they are friendly and extremely helpful but very good at what they do . Thank you for a lovely stay .

A welcoming hotel in a beautiful location. Very comfortable stay with open fires, friendly staff and excellent food, all whilst enjoying stunning views across the water. Elegantly furnished. Lots of nice touches too.
Be the first to ReplySuperb location, decent vegan options
we visited for lunch and enjoyed our meal. A little limited in vegan options: starter choices being pumpkin soup or pumpkin tart, and two choices for mains, both of which were a little on the small side but interesting dishes. rice pudding dessert was excellent, though, as was coffee.

This was the first time my husband and I had stayed at the Pierhouse and we would certainly like to return. We were warmly welcomed and then shown to our upgraded bedroom with a beautiful view of the islands from our window. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, nicely furnished, well appointed and so nice and cosy! Our son has been here several times and had highly recommended we go too - in fact he got engaged here! After enjoying a rest in our lovely bedroom, we went outside to explore. The sun was just setting and the views were spectacular. All the way from home we were seeing Scotland at its best. The mountains of Glencoe were snow capped, the sky was vivid blue and the sun was shining - all in all a perfect day. Our evening meal was a delicious seafood dinner. We particularly liked the scallops in pastry with the beurre blanc sauce. To round off a perfect night we sat in the cosy snug and enjoyed the last of our wine. The next morning we were delighted to waken up to more sun shining on the snowy islands and how lovely it was to eat our breakfast looking out onto those wonderful views. The breakfast was fantastic - so freshly cooked and tasty - could not have been better. More exploring had to be done before we left so we walked round the Point and then into the village. Last of all we enjoyed a wee dram of the hotel’s own whisky in the bar. Lovely place, friendly people and a spectacular setting. We loved it!

A return visit too The Pierhouse in the quiet month of January 2023 and we were not disappointed.... the Scottish weather held up ..to take in the amazing views from this special place ... The hotel itself provides lovely comfortable rooms with every detail catered for ..the bar & snug are relaxing places to enjoy a gin or two .... the staff are amazing, so helpful and the dinner menu sublime ...We enjoyed the most delicious breakfast while taking in the Seaview... I cannot praise this hotel enough and an absolute must if your in the area .
Be the first to ReplyWonderful service and food in a beautiful setting
A large group of us has dinner on a Friday and Saturday night at the pierhouse and it was absolutely faultless. The food was fantastic, unbelievable seafood. The service was even better. Vil and Aria (and others who I don’t know names of) sorted out everything! Only regret was we didn’t stay in the hotel. Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyGreat sleep -great food!
Fabulous food and great service. Very comfortable accommodation. Stunning views over the sound to the Isle of Lismore. Overall a 5 star stay in a beautiful location on the west coast of Scotland. Would recommend for foodies and scenic breaks.
Be the first to ReplyBrilliant seafood restaurant opposite Lismore
We read about this excellent restaurant online, and, having determined we could book a table, we drove the short, single track road to the Lismore pedestrian ferry pier and found a fabulous restaurant. Renowned for its seafood, we had fish pie and mussels for lunch, both of which were splendid. A good wine list and attentive service added to our enjoyment. Highly recommended.

We stayed for just one night and wished we had booked more.
Friendly efficient staff who couldn’t do enough to make us feel so welcome, sublime food and beautiful accommodation. We will be back for a longer stay.
Outstanding small hotel
A brief stopover on the way to Skye. Gorgeous small hotel with fab views. Food is the best bit - simply outstanding seafood! Best dinner I’ve had in ages. Breakfast was delightful too.
Really excellent staff too. Highly recommended place to visit.
