The Oceanaire Seafood Room Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year
What a extremely DISAPPOINTING experience! We were there
What a extremely DISAPPOINTING experience! We were there with family from out of town ! I have an allergy that although tough is accommodated by restaurants all the time . No real attempt made. My BIL never got his fish .He finally told them to cancel it, They forgot some of the veggies FINALLY brought them out after we got the waitress's attention and she got them. Everyone's in our group said the food was bland, service subpar, and mgr.was unfriendly. Even if tired your customers deserve a friendly service? Food and service were not good.
If you have food allergies this is definitely not the place
If you have food allergies this is definitely not the place you want to go. My server bragged about the Mac n cheese, tasted like Kraft Mac n cheese with gouda, horrible. I asked for blackened Sea Bass, was the worst blackened I've ever tasted. I lived in New Orleans for almost 3 years, no taste. Only thing I did like was the asparagus. I don't mind paying $100 for my meals if I'm getting quality food, I've had better at Golden Corral
I had the pleasure of dining at Oceanaire Seafood [again
I had the pleasure of dining at Oceanaire Seafood [again this past weekend], and it was a delightful experience that transported me straight to the seaside, despite being nestled in the heart of Georgia. As someone who appreciates good seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of their offerings. The service at Oceanaire is top-notch. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring my dining experience was smooth from start to finish. It's always a great sign when the service can match the quality of the food! The menu, although not vast, features a variety of seafood delights that seem to be carefully selected to cater to different palates. From the freshly shucked oysters to the grilled salmon, every dish I tried was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the seafood without overpowering its natural taste. Oceanaire manages to find a balance between affordability and a feeling of indulgence. While it's not the cheapest place around, the prices are justified by the quality of food and the overall dining experience. It's a good spot for those occasions when you want to treat yourself without breaking the bank. The portion sizes are the only aspect where Oceanaire might not meet everyone's expectations. While the dishes are exquisitely prepared, they are not overly generous, and one shouldn't expect to leave feeling stuffed. However, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation can make up for the size, especially if you're focusing on enjoying a lighter, finer meal. Overall, Oceanaire is a gem for seafood lovers in Georgia. With its excellent service, high-quality fare, and a cozy yet elegant ambiance, it's definitely worth a visit. Whether you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just in the mood for some good seafood, Oceanaire won't disappoint.

The food was so fresh and delicious ! We had a really great time! The service was just fabulous and the Ambiance really calming and serene. This is the perfect place for a Date night !
Lunch for 2.
- Ambiance (5*) Elevated decor and dining room. - Service (4*) Incredibly professional and friendly. Start of service was a little slow after initial interactions. I think the waiter disappeared for a good 10 minutes before taking our order. - Wedge Salad, $11 (4*) Good, fresh, normal wedge salad, though perhaps a little over dressed. - Calamari, $14 (2*) Breading was falling apart. - Dayboat Red Snapper, $45 (2*) Unfortunately nuked. Fish was overcooked and the pan sear was overly crusty (didn't think that was possible). Inside was mushy, and outside was... dare I say... sharp? - Asparagus, $14 (2*) Tough bottoms not trimmed. - Value (2*) $45 for an overcooked standalone piece of snapper. Sad. - Final Word Great ambiance and service are not enough to save this rating. Oceannaire feels like a pretender. Case in point, the "catch of the day" which I didn't order was "farmed salmon".
This place never disappoints.
Crab cake was really good. Steak was cooked to perfection. Service was amazing. Nice space.

I attended for the first time for a birthday, with two other guests. I enjoyed the grilled mixed seafood entree. Also the bisque was delicious. Service was great, very attentive and catering.
Excellent food & cocktails a extensive wine selection.
The service was exemplary and the venue is a mixture of vintage and current decor, No problem if you want to sit in a booth, there are plenty available and will seat for adult individuals. The entrées are on the high end & and worth every single bite & dollar. If you're celebrating a birthday, you must get the baked Alaska which is set of flame right at your table by the expert staff.

Murphy was an amazing server we were a little late and got to the restaurant about 15min before they closed. We offered to hurry up order and eat but he insisted that we didn't rush and enjoy ourselves. He even brought a flaming dessert for my friends birthday. Hard to come by hospitality like that now a days.
I had a phenomenal experience at The Oceanaire! I was
I had a phenomenal experience at The Oceanaire! I was pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and ambiance. I checked the Yelp reviews prior to my visit and I...let's say...went into this experience with low expectations. Looking back, it's unfortunate that others didn't get the same positive experience as I did. I loved it. We went for my friend's birthday celebration on a Wednesday evening and it was populated, but not super packed. We had a corner table of 4 and the best waiter. I wish I remembered his name because he definitely deserves an appreciation post. He was attentive, friendly, and recommended delicious options. He ensured we enjoyed our evening. I ordered: A mocktail -- the bartender took a stab at something special Scottish salmon -- blackened Sautéed green beans Garlic mash I have zero complaints. The food was delicious. Nothing lacked flavor. Again, I was pleasantly surprised at my overall experience--the food was phenomenal. I'm not a huge seafood eater, but I'd try this spot again. It was a relaxing and fun birthday celebration and everyone left happy.
