The most unfriendly staff I have ever met.
The restaurant was more than 1/2 empty and they couldn't accommodate a party of 5. Seriously there are many better places in the area.Avoid
Be the first to ReplySunday brunch paat 2pm.
Staff is friendly and super accommodating with our stroller (kid was sleeping in it) Good aervice and food came pretty fast We had deviled eggs, eggplant dip, burger and eggs benedict Eggs were pretty good! Very soft The dip was okay, the crackers had too much seasoning Husband liked the burger and fries were perfectly cooked, super crunchy! Now, eggs benny were a bit too much. First, overpriced for just the two eggs, no side, nothing. The sauce had a too strong flavor that pretty much ate away the rest of the dish, ham not noticeable. You could only taste the sauce which also had too much black pepper (and I am a peppercorn lover) and it was salty. Def do not get this one. Place and ambiance super cute.

With only a morning to enjoy SoHo we were seated at the bar and delighted in their offering for brunch. We had the oysters , fried chicken and biscuits. The Iquitos were like a warm long hug. After enjoying with the honey butter a nap was in order. My wife and I use this as our go-to for dinning and pleasurable service.

Everything was so good! Wait took almost an hour (with a reservation) but the manager came over and poured us a bottle of wine as an apology and thankfully the rest of the evenings meal also made up for it
Be the first to ReplyPerhaps one of my 3 most favorite places in Manhattan.
Fabulous food with entrees led by the trout & hanger steak. (The kimchi rice is something I remember in dreams.) The service is highly attentive while still very personal. The teamwork is usually as well coordinated as a fine dining restaurant, but you end up feeling like the captain is your friend. The place feels like a neighborhood spot full of regulars. Dress can be as fancy or middle-of-the-road as you can pull off. Prices are high, par for NYC. The bar prices are kind of nose bleed. Wine list is good and reasonably priced. I will continue to return when I can.

First of all, when we asked for tap, another waiter brought us an already open bottle of flat. I asked if this tap and she said yes it's flat water which you ordered. I said we asked for tap. She got huffy and stormed away before coming back to remove our glasses. If you're going to charge for flat, open in in front of me otherwise I know you're refilling bottles. She got her vengeance though, when they brought us our bloody Mary's, they spilled one all over my pants. No apologies. Just came back and said you might need this wet nap. $30 for 4 shrimp that they can't even devain? Now I'm really annoyed. And finally, we told them we had gluten free people and they did not warn us that their FRIES have gluten so now one of us is not feeling great. AVOID this overpriced, poor serviced, tourist trap.

I visited Dutch around 12:30pm on a Wednesday, and there was a lot of seating during lunchtime. I enjoyed the Mushroom Risotto as it was my first time having it. I was also a fan of the cornbread. Even though it has jalapeno, it was not spicy and had the right crumbliness that cornbread usually had. It is a bit overpriced for what they offer.

I met a buddy of mine in the city for dinner and he recommended this place. We walk in without a reservation and immediately are led to a table where it would have been very uncomfortable to eat. We politely ask that we sit a a different table where we are able to sit across from each other as opposed to side by side. Needless to say that there were empty tables all over the place so we felt that asking them to move to another table would not have been a big deal We ate our food and continued our conversation when our waiter drops what appeared to be a dessert menu on the table. Neither one of us looked at it and we went about our business. My buddy get up to use the men's room and I pick up the supposed dessert menu only to find out it was our bill. We still had food in the table and we wanted dessert and coffee. I think nothing of it and I call our waiter over and order two expresso's. He huffs and puffs and storms away telling me. ILL BE RIGHT BACK. Again thinking he's coming back with our coffee. Two minutes later the host come to us and says we need to leave because it's 8:00 and we were only allowed to have the table to 8. My first reaction was that I felt like I was getting pranked. There were at least three other tables around us that were empty and I got this guy telling me I had to leave. Words were exchanged and needless to say they brought us our coffee but made us feel very unwanted. They were standing over our shoulders and staring at us and we felt like what the hell are you staring at! Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. I hope they go out of business and I think the host and the waiter who served us gets food poisoning.
Be the first to ReplyOk! Stop the flipping train! This is the BOMB.
The service is over the top, The food is amazing , BUT you gotta have the fried chicken it is over the top! A must on your list to eat at, do not miss this place.
Be the first to ReplyAttractive interior design.
Average food and service. Unbelievably loud. We could not hear ourselves across the table from one another. Hard floor, no table cloths very busy every seat taken. It was an acoustic torture chamber. Its a chain reaction. Everyone is yelling to be heard. Waiter couldn't hear us. We left after entrรฉes. Went somewhere else for desert. Will not go back. I feel sorry for the staff having to work in those conditions.
Be the first to ReplyThis place definitely had an inviting ambiance.
It was quite busy, so highly recommend making a reservation. We had no issue making one for the following day, despite having 6 in our party. We started off with a bottle of rosรฉ and a couple orders of the scallion chipotle cornbread. The cornbread came out in a tiny cast iron, which I love, but was slightly dry. The butter helped, but you had to lather it on. We ordered various entrees; the hot fried chicken with honey biscuits, the smoked ricotta ravioli, and a couple burgers. The fried chicken had an incredibly crunchy exterior; you could hear them bite into it a mile away. However, I wish it had just a tad more seasoning. The slaw was fine, but could've had a little more citrus to brighten it up. The honey biscuits though were the best part about that dish. The smoked ricotta ravioli with "moon drop grapes" was phenomenal. I wasn't sure exactly what those grapes were, but it paired extremely well with the sauce. I would return and specifically order this dish again. The burger and fries were fine, nothing unusually great, but good. Overall, the environment was pleasant, the ravioli was a hit, and they had plenty of wine selections, though only one rosรฉ. If you're in the neighborhood or looking for a new place to try, this might be worth a visit. The service was great. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3.5, but no half stars, so a 4 it is.

Suggested it to friends for dinner based on a recommendation. Had an 8:30PM reservation for 4ppl. We arrived on-time, checked-in w/the hostess and after a few minutes of not giving us any information on what was going on, she finally said it would be a few more minutes as some tables were paying, and we could wait by the bar if we wanted. So we went to the bar, ordered a round of drinks, and chatted as we waited. at 9:00, I went to the host stand and asked for an update. they gave the same answer, that someone was paying and we'd be seated shortly. 30 minutes later, one of the other members of the party went to the host stand and spoke to the manager, then they finally sat us. He asked if we had our tab at the bar open, which we did, but said "really the drinks should be comped since we waited an hour after our reservation to be seated. the manager (who was seating us) led us to believe that they would be comp. he then brought over a cornbread appetizer and poured a round of prosesso. thought he was going over the top. we then ordered, ate, food was ok but some of the portions were really small, esp for the price. I almost ordered the strip steak, but it was $68, a price I expect and would be happy to pay at a nice steak house, so just a burger instead. after dinner, they asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, we all said no as it was not past 11PM, but they brought out 2 desserts on the house, and shortly after, the check. this is when we realized that we were still charged for that initial round of drinks. So as I appreciate the effort with the appetizer, prosesso and desserts, we would've been happier with just the round of drinks rather then a bunch of items we didn't want, or better yet, just seat us on time!
Be the first to ReplyHi, all my sister and her Latino friends attended a dinner
Hi, all my sister and her Latino friends attended a dinner here and the unprofessional staff first of all gave them a time limit on how long they should eat their dinner for and said that they needed to be done by 7 PM when they got there at 4:30. They didn't even get a chance to put their order in and they already got a time limit on how the long they should be at the table then, as we are looking at the menu, the employees of the restaurant were giggling in a corner staring at her table the entire time we were there they felt very uncomfortable, and as my sister begins to tell me the story, I feel very disturbed whoever goes here be aware be aware that your time here will be very uncomfortable.

Great food! I had the smoked ricotta ravioli and was blown away, what a unique twist on a classic meal. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in NYC.
Be the first to ReplyThe Dutch, an all American restaurant in Soho.
They cook what makes them happy I'm just here for the fried chicken lol. This place is packed with good vibes and good energy! Fun Fact: They make their own hot sauce How was the food?:The PALOMA PICANTE COCKTAIL was a great mixture with grapefruit juice, alcohol and a slight jalapeรฑo flavor. The FRIED CHICKEN AND HOT HONEY BISCUITS was "EVERYTHING". I was not expecting it to be THAT good at all. A restaurant that supercedes your expectations is great! The chicken was well seasoned with spice, crisp, and crunch. The CHINATOWN CALAMARI dish was also amazing! It was fried, with julienne peppers, scallions and pickles. I don't know how they incorporated the signature Asian flavor but it was definitely there. And on my next visit I have to have the lamb jerk chicken roti dish. You will not believe how they nailed this West Indian flavor! I am in full awe with this restaurant overall! Their pring is more than average...but they definitely know their worth
Be the first to ReplyFood was yummy in a cozy / slightly crowded dining space.
Service was ok- felt like a lot of ppl were working but aren't actually doing anything? Got the breakfast sandwich it was yummy, perfect texture and love the scrambled egg that reminded me of tomago. $19. I thought it was a bit overpriced for such a small sandwich. The chocolate dessert was to die for!
Be the first to ReplyWent here with my friend for our birthday.
Overall the service and ambiance here was unbeatable, servers assisting you with every need and laughter surrounded you from the tables around. We were so excited for the main course, which let us down. I got the pecan duck and rice, and it was a 2/10 at best. The duck was cook nicely but the rice was dry and not flavored at all. My friend got the fried chicken and she agreed it was nothing to write home about. We really wanted to like this place especially with the amazing service however we will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food.
We had the Brussels, the burger, the chicken, and lemon meringue pie. All some of the better versions of those dishes I've ever had, really solid and sizeable portions. The service was excellent, truly. There isn't much to come back to Manhattan for in my opinion, but it felt like a treat before our show, and I would definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyPancakes were sooo good, the perfect amount of blueberries
Pancakes were sooo good, the perfect amount of blueberries and the breakfast sandwich was definitely good and hit the spot right on! After a night of drinking and partying away in the city this is the perfect wake up call for your body on a lazy Sunday. The only thing I didn't enjoy was how rushed the service felt, the server checked in on us a little too many times which I understand was for the purpose of him understanding if the food was to our liking but after a while it felt like the service was being rushed as the end time for breakfast was approaching, we didn't really pay it no mind so we just finished our breakfast and paid but for future reference rushing service does not guarantee the customer's visit again or a generous tip, people go out to eat and talk while enjoying their food there should never be a reason why that cannot take place because you keep getting interrupted. If a table requires something they will let you know or make eye contact, body language reading is a skill every server should posses.

Nice ambiance, kind server, and amazing food! The burger was one of the best I've had!
Be the first to ReplyI came to this restaurant on a Saturday night.
When I arrived with my party of 4 the staff informed me that they could seat us but it would be at least 35 minutes until we received our food. We proceeded to wait 20 minutes to receive our drinks and then another hour plus to receive our appetizers. After we received our appetizers ( a rancid Caesar salad covered in anchovies so bad my girlfriend had to run to the bathroom because she thought she'd be sick) the waitress informed me the ribs I ordered 30 MINUTES earlier were out of stock and that I had to choose another entree . Moral of the story my friends and I wasted 2 hours of our lives waiting for terrible food with terrible service do not go here.
Be the first to ReplyDecent spot for brunch in Manhattan.
Ordered the avocado toast and my girlfriend got the pancakes. $25 bucks for avocado toast is ridiculous which is why it gets 3 stars, but the taste was pretty good. Overall, could probably find a better option for cheaper, but not bad as a backup.

The Dutch would be on my hit list of best brunches in New York City. I have been here for brunch numerous times and have never had a bad meal. They always have some type of pancake that is certainly one of the better ones in the city. They do a great job with Southern food like fried chicken, biscuits and pimiento cheese, which I find to be crowd pleasers. They also used to have a kimchi fried rice served with steak and a perfect sunny side egg on top - honestly the best rendition of steak and eggs that I'd want to eat.
Be the first to ReplyI'm not gonna lie.
..if you like a cute Instagram pic and descent food then this the place. It's one of those places you went to cause you seen somebody from college post a picture of them there with the fried chicken. Now the one thing they really got going fa them is the biscuits. Them bihs are hitting no lie. I done had them real from scratch biscuits and theses are the closest thing I ever had. The fried chicken is a little too hard for me. It's too breaded, not my style. Again, very beautiful spot, great location...but average for what's in the area. Kinda pricey, but you pay for the vibe. I usually take my friends from out of town here... a fake tourist spot for me.
Be the first to ReplyA friend and I were in the area and looking for a snack.
We got the fresh oysters, blistered shishito peppers, and broccolini and then the strawberry merengue sundae for dessert. Everything was super fresh and interesting. Service was good. We sat outside and it was a lovely summer afternoon.
