The Commerce Inn New York Reviews from The Last Year
A true hidden west village gem! Cozy old school vibes.
The food and drinks were amazing but our bartender Emmanuel was the star of the night! Great service and cocktail recommendations. Thank you Eman!
I came to the commerce Inn for brunch today.
I had the patty melt, which was absolutely outstanding. Probably the best I've ever had. The service was great. The ambience was wonderful. I understand. It's a different vibe during the evening. However, I don't know what vibe there could possibly be that could eclipse what I experience today.
Perfect cocktails, every dish was outstanding~ butternut
Perfect cocktails, every dish was outstanding~ butternut squash appetizer, roast chicken, grilled fish, noodles. Service was very attentive and efficient. I was so excited to learn that a new Shaker-inspired restaurant had opened and it exceeded my expectations!
Down to the precise location, the Commerce Inn is West
Down to the precise location, the Commerce Inn is West Village perfection. The concept is fringy and (hopefully) off-putting to some, but as the son of someone who actually grew up eating some iteration of these dishes, I could appreciate the Commerce Inn deeply. I enjoyed the spoon bread, beef, and beans. However, it's quite difficult to explain to my father why I can't get a reservation before 10pm.
Bills game
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean which is a big plus. Very unfortunately, the pool was closed our entire stay which was a reason we chose this hotel as we travelled with our 10yr old. Thin walls so you can hear everything and shower dripping constantly but fan running all night helped. Most likely will another hotel next Bills game.
I always walk by this restaurant and finally got a chance
I always walk by this restaurant and finally got a chance to try it out. It has a very cozy west village vibe, with candles on each table. The food was also quite delicious, especially the tomato toast! I would recommend this place for an intimate date or for a small group.
Beautiful restaurant with a sceney vibe.
The food is good but what we weren't prepared for was how large the portions are. I would definitely recommend sharing dishes. The large portions do make up a bit for the relatively high prices.
Sat at the bar here last night and had some of the best
Sat at the bar here last night and had some of the best clam chowder of my life. The patty melt was amazing too. Amazing service and cocktails from the bartenders. The ambiance is so cozy too. Highly recommend!
This place has grown on me -- maybe more than any other NY
This place has grown on me -- maybe more than any other NY restaurant ever. Had a fabulous dinner here tonight. We split oysters three ways -- raw pickled, and fried, and they were all great. I especially loved the fried, which were served piping hot, in the shell, over a slick of tartar sauce and next to a wedge of lemon. It was excellent. We then shared their poached leeks (always great) and buttermilk salad (simple and perfect), and then for our mains shared the roasted duck, which came with cubes of roasted celeriac, and sides of poached quince and creamed spinach. I'm not a duck fan, but loved the sides -- and my friends who love duck loved this. Then we split a wonderful roasted whole sea bass that was filleted and topped with a bright slaw of lightly cured thinly sliced fennel and thin slices of fried potato. It was PERFECT. For dessert: a nice (but slightly too sweet, Im glad we split this) raspberry Eton Mess type thing. All in all, I love the service here, the vibe, and the food. This is officially one of my faves in the city.
I came here for the first time.
While the place is not spacious, it has a vibe. Cute place. Food was amazing! Definitely want to try other menu next time.
Dated - but extremely clean!
My family stayed two nights - it was close to food, close to shopping - we were right off the highway. We were attending an event at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. we arrived - super quick and easy check in - guy was very nice. We went into our room - realized they were double beds - not queens. I obviously didn't read the listing. I went back to the desk to ask if there was anything else available - but was told sold out. We made due - but they weren't the overly comfortable. Hotel was dated - but VERY CLEAN - nice big breakfast in the morning.
Usually a go to place for drinks but will think twice next
Usually a go to place for drinks but will think twice next time. Our bartender could not have been ruder. For $75.00 for 4 drinks and a lot of attitude it's not worth the trip.
not worth the $$
Not horrible but not good. Hotel is very run down and in need of lots of repairs. Breakfast was terrible. However, the staff was incredibly nice and friendly. That was definitely a bright spot in the stay. Room rates varied for each of the three nights we stayed and the online prices were different still. For what we got, the prices were very high.
Underwhelming
Our room was run down, no refrigerator or microwave, and there was a light right outside of our window that we could not block out. Check in was quick and easy and breakfast was the average waffles and sausage and powdered eggs. We arrived late so we didn’t use any facilities.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
