Yummy!
Delicious food and cozy atmosphere! This place was featured on diners drive inns and dives! Had fall off the bone ribs and sweet pot fries . Wish I’d had room for dessert . Will b back if in the area!

This was the wife's and I's first time there and we loved it. We both had the pulled pork and it was delicious. The food was great the service was superb. All in all, we will be back.

Ribeye, pork ribs, slaw and rings. I’ve eaten a lot of bbq and this isn’t one I’d put at the top of my list nor, would I put it at the bottom. My ribeye was average and nothing to talk about. The ribs were so over cooked and did fall off the bone, the bones were like mush and it was hard to tell the bone from the meat. You can smash the meat up like mush it was so soft.
The waitress was very nice as well as the rest of the staff. Very clean and pleasant place. I think there are other items on the menu that are better. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but if in the area I might drop by to try something other than the BBQ.
Great food and service
We stop here whenever we are in the area. This place has such a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The service is friendly and we got our food quickly. I got a brisket sandwich, which was delicious. The brisket was tender and the BBQ sauce and tangy mayo worked really well together with the onion straws. The sweet potato fries were also great. My spouse got the boondocker sandwich, which had a nice balance of flavor and textures. It is also reasonably priced. We will definitely go again.

Great place to hold poker runs or simple meet ups, good food and friendly staff. Even has a place to rent for functions.

On our visit to Burr Oak State Park, the two of us sought out promising nearby restaurants, beyond the obvious restaurant in the Park’s lode. Nearby being generously referred to as within 30-40 minutes. The night of our arrival we wound up at Boondock’s BBQ and Grill.
The décor was informal, with the oft-found kitch and photos everywhere. We grabbed a table, and were promptly engaged by the engaging server. We settled on a Chicken, Bacon, and Avocado wrap with Sweet Potato Fries; plus, what is named a Wicked Chicken Stacker with a Side Salad and Mushrooms & Onions. The former was as expected: and included a Red Pepper Sauce. The latter was certainly not a diet item, with two relatively thinly sliced chicken breasts sandwiching Swiss and American Cheeses plus Bacon; then drenched in a Cajon Ranch Sauce. Everything proved quite tasty, although the Wicked Chicken Stacker could have been improved by dropping the American Cheese, My companion also took the server’s recommendation for their Caramel Dip for the fries, which turned out to be surprisingly yummy.
Despite being quite stuffed, we added on a couple of Boondock’s peanut butter cookies to go. All told. With a generous tip and non-alcoholic beverages, the tab came to a tad over $30; quite reasonable, in my mind. Given the opportunity we’ll definitely be back, to try their ribs, burgers, or home-style entrees. If you’re in the area – again, around those parts, being generous in accepting driving time – we highly recommend Boondocks.
Worth the stop
We stopped for lunch after going to the reinersville trade days. This is a really good restaurant. Everyone was very friendly. Lots of great selections on the menu. Worth the stop!

We stopped here on our motorcycles two years ago and were happy to be back in the area again recently. It had not changed a bit, wonderful food, clean, great employees. Large menu. Stone parking lot so if you pull in on bikes, just take it easy.

Massive menu. Burger was great. Ribs were great. Sirloin tips were great. Pasta great. Fries average. Baked beans average. Hummus amazing!
Clean and cozy. Surprising place.
Nice family style restaurant just outside small town Ohio
We were greeted quickly and politely. Was told to take a seat anywhere. First time we were there and was not sure were to sit. Seems like there is seating on both sides of a dividing wall. Server greeted us and told us about the days special. Quickly brought drinks and we asked for more time to look over the menu. Lots to choose from! Food was good and brought out quickly. We will stop by the next time we go that way.
