Excellent service.
Leopard cocktail was good. Vanilla cheesecake was fabulous. Stopped in for drink and dessert. Will be back for a full meal.

The Blue Door Bistro was great! We loved the assortment of breads, cheeses, beverages, meats, and other breakfast foods. There is something for everyone. The servers are attentive; we got toast and coffee/water refills without having to say much.We were staying at The Montague and purchased a package that included breakfast. Not having to think about breakfast food was excellent.I loved the decor and the sunroom and patios, too. The mix of traditional and modern decor make this a great spot fo breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

My husband and I ate here because a meal was included with our hotel stay, and I am glad that we made it! We both had the three course meal. All of the courses were wonderful, with generous portions, perfectly cooked vegetables and tender meat. Beautiful presentation, perfectly seasoned food, wonderful service. We will definitely be coming back!!

What a great escape from the city and the heat! The service was stellar. All of the suggestions we got were great, and they were super attentive.Every single thing we ordered here was delicious. Pasta, meat, seafood, all fantastic. I look forward to coming back next time we are in London!

The scallop appetizer served with the grilled lamb chop was an excellent combination of tastes and sauces. Service was impeccable, attentive and good humored. The hotel also boasts a wonderful lounge with music, The Leopard Bar.
Be the first to ReplyI thought this place was ok.
Came with a group of 6 people. Started with the scallops and they were really small. Had the steak and it was overdone and the crisps were under done. The service and atmosphere was nice and the others seemed to enjoy their food more than I.

We were staying in the hotel and though are vacation package included a complimentary dinner from the pre fixe, I would dine again here. Service was great and the food was generous and pleasing. I wish that we weren't limited to the pre fixe as it was a little limited, but we did make the right picks. I went with a leek soup, jadori chicken, and the cheesecake. He got the puff pastry, pasta primavera and rice pudding. The leek soup was a nice light creamy starter. The puff pastry with the poached egg hit the spot with the yolk being perfectly runny and the asparagus was tender. They had a great selection of breads and butters with salts. My chicken had a delightful mix of herbs, crisped skin and was juicy. It was accompanied by vine ripened tomatoes and buttery mashed potatoes. He enjoyed his pasta as well. The cheesecake was huge and yes I was already getting stuffed but decided to pull through. The cheesecake was served with ice cream, some toffee crumbles and a hardened toffee slice. It was delicious though could have used a berry sauce or some sauce to balance out all the cream cheese. The rice pudding is something we never had but it worked. It's still rice, so I think psychologically you needed to get over that, but it wasn't overly rich and served with nuts. To top it off, they gave us an assortment of four chocolates which we ended up getting a box for as we were stuffed.Great service and very pleasing food. Hotel food can be delicious as Blue Door proves to be. 4.5 stars.

I received A free dinner for two with my package deal for my trip. The asparagus appetizer with poached egg was divine. The pasta Primavera was delicious! It had a red sauce which is different than what we are used to here in the states. But I did enjoy it very much. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The salmon was also scrumptious.I also had their breakfast buffet every morning. I did enjoy it very much, as they also had American bacon available. They made eggs fresh for you any style, as well as scrambled eggs available on the buffet. There was a juicer machine with fresh fruits and veggies. There is also a nice selection of fine cheeses and pastries. I would say though that this restaurant is overpriced, especially for breakfast.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a lovely bistro inside The Montague.
Met friends here for a birthday dinner. I like the decor. It's a balance of old and new and they get it right for the most part. There are a few areas to the bistro. Inside dining room, bar/lounge, conservatory both an inside and out... So, plenty of space for everyone. The greeting was pleasant and professional. Service was efficient, helpful, friendly and well timed. We opted for the fish and chips because we wanted to see if it was price appropriate. It was very good albeit a bit pricey. The mushy peas were not seasoned at all but the fish was cooked really well, moist, lightly battered and the chips were a good match! The bread and butter starter was a bit flat. The focaccia didn't taste of anything. It was also a bit tough. The different salts were nice with the butter though.I didn't have dessert but tried a little of my friend's cheesecake and it was also tasty. This is a nice bistro with lovely service and you'd enjoy spending some time here.

It had exquisite food with some of the best staff I have ever come across. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed us through to the bar. The bar was very nicely laid out with with a warm and cozy feeling. The bar was tastefully decorated with a number of interesting artefacts tastefully displayed throughout the bar area. After a short time we were then brought through to the restaurant where once again the staff were very helpful and no request was too much. The food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. I had the salmon starter with the burger for the main course and my girlfriend had the ham hock to start and fish for her main course. Once dinner was finished we were invited to enjoy our tea and coffee in the very relaxing conservatory area which had very comfortable chairs and couches allowing you to fully relax. The tea was served with and egg timer so you knew exactly when to stop brewing the tea, another small touch but one which enhances the experience. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience due in no small part to the staff who were all super professional and really made the experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe had lunch in this nice little establishment.
We were looking for something light and this fit the bill.My steak baguette was phenomenal. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly and the baguette was so soft and tasty. The salad was reportedly good also. There are several different dining rooms and we sat in the very front. At lunch time no one else was ever seated in this area. A few other people came in and went towards the rear of the building. Apparently there is a more casual environment back there, fyi.
