Great time and nice vibe! Alfonso was very accommodating.
He took our group pictures and made sure we loved them. He also made sure we had enough tea and water. Great experience!

There is no better bar/vibe in Dallas! I come to Dallas often and explore purposely seeking out the best spots. If you're looking for a solid, classy, high-end spot to enjoy a great cocktail or a lively hotel bar scene... then "JP" is your top notch bartender and the Aldophus hotel is second-to-none in the downtown Dallas area! (4 different bars all in one hotel!)

I bought a resort day pass for the pool and I was not disappointed! The rooftop pool is gorgeous and it wasn't that crowded on a Friday. They have a bar that servers food as well. I hope to come back and stay in the actual hotel!

Alfonso was an amazing server and went the extra mile making us feel special and at home! I absolutely recommend their High Tea!
Be the first to ReplyThe rooms are dated.
The shower was adequate-ish. The bathroom sink's faucet barely extended into the basin, so water got everywhere when it was used. The gym was pretty good. The big issue is sound. Downtown is full of the rudest people blasting music and riding in the most obnoxious vehicles imaginable. The building's sound insulation is not equal to the task, to say the least. Especially on the weekend, this hotel is an intensely unpleasant place to be. Apparently, most of Dallas should be arrested. And they all congregate in front of the adolphus. Addendum: it got even worse. I was overcharged at checkout and treated rudely by front desk staff (Avery and Tim). Then I was harassed by a homeless man at the valet stand at like 7 in the morning. Ultimately, this went from bad to horrific.

If I could give them 10 stars I would they truly understand what great customer service is. Alejandro offering advice on great restaurants. The front desk checking in and out made it a pleasure young lady during the day very helpful. I was having a difficult time and see helped me so much. TheAdolphus staff really understand how to treat people. Thank you so much for making my trip memorable and most importantly feeling safe thank you big giant thank you to Wendell so kind and helpful people like this even though the room was amazingly beautiful and the roof top pool spectacular. The people like Wendell and friendly girl at The front desk make me want To come back again thank you for Your hospitality it Means everything!!!!!!

what was given wasn't worth $75. A reasonable price would've been for $50.(4/5) Connie was terrific ! she is a people person and takes great pictures . She's amazing . 10/10

During my extended stay all throughout Dallas/Fort Worth this is definitely one place i'll be returning to. The bar staff at Rodeo Bar was simply amazing, be it Ignacio, RJ, or Kodiak walking me through cocktails i've never had (all were incredible) or Nate, Kier, and Mary greeting me with welcoming smiles as soon as i walked in. All of these combined with David's incredible attitude to keep things running smoothly behind the bar proved to me they're doing something right. P.S. You need to try their queso
Be the first to ReplyGreat old hotel.
Reminds me of the Del Coronado in San Diego. An absolute jewel in the otherwise dull Dallas downtown. Drew and the rest of the gang at the Rodeo are terrific!
Be the first to ReplyThis review is for the High Tea.
Come here for the ambiance and the beautiful brut rosé. The teas were fine but not great. All were refilled at the perfect pace. The servers were all kind and lovely. Where this high tea fell short for me were the food offerings. Everything looked far more beautiful than it tasted. The scones were meh, covered in coarse sugar. The thick-cut bread - I'll say it - was so dry. I'm happy the birthday girl enjoyed it.
Be the first to ReplyAdolphus tea is amazing! The lobby bars are a lot of fun.
The pool scene isn't the best.
Be the first to ReplyI want to start with a few facts.
I am a very frequent Titan Elite Lifetime Marriott Traveler with more than 2,000 nights over 22 years. This is my 1st non-positive review of any hotel, flight or rental car location. I also want to mention that not all this review is negative. Having stayed at some many different Marriott Properties I have established a range of what is normal/acceptable for each property type. I selected the Adolphus for our company Christmas Party. I reached out to schedule and their very initial conversation went well. I spent lots of time emailing with multiple hotel staff members trying to get clarity on items with no luck. I requested for them to call me numerous times and they did not call. I requested to speak with the GM when I wasn't getting an adequate response. The front desk essentially recommended that I should not expect a call back and highly suggested that I was wasting my time. Little did I know that the front desk staff would be so accurate about this point. There were numerous people on the email and there was a singular person in charge of making sure all the questions got answered and issues resolved. When I arrived at the hotel many things became clear in short order. The hotel was beautiful and had a very aesthetically appealing layout/design . The hotel was also much busier than other similar Marriott Autograph Properties. The hotel failed to mention they had 4 weddings scheduled for that weekend. The hotel also didn't mention they regularly get people visiting and hanging out at the hotel/restaurants/bars. Just checking into the hotel was a lengthy chore. Getting a drink from the bar was another level of difficulty. The bar staff was nice and gracious. The front desk was so busy that we were constantly stopping to help other employees and customers which was frustrating. There was basically no seating really available in the public areas except earlier in the day. The weddings had many spaces reserved so that there were really limited seating options. The decorations and ambiance was very pretty and ideal for taking memorable photographs. The meeting room we scheduled had no easily accessible power outlets without needing a 6ft extension cord. Knowing there would be limited power would have been a nice piece of information to have pre-meeting. The room was also extremely cold prompting everyone to go back up to their rooms for jackets. After about 30 mins they brought us 2 space heaters which took a few hours to warm up the space. The catering that was provided was slightly confusing to order but they delivered it timely and was worth the pricing. I brought my concerns to the hotel GM through the Marriott Complaint System. When the GM called me he made me feel very rushed in explaining my concerns. The GM also had a mildly over assertive "tone" during the conversation. The tone of someone with a forgone conclusion and was going through the motions as fast as possible. I repeatedly told the GM that I have no exact thoughts on compensation. I asked the GM to look into my concerns and take whatever action he deemed appropriate. The GM brow beat me into providing a number so I gave him a 10% but to do whatever he thought might be fair. The manager called me back a few hours later and said he talked to his staff and went through all the emails and saw no reason for any adjustment to the bill. I informed him that I don't agree with his assessment and I thought his attitude was less than professional. In conclusion I think the property is a beautiful one and I can understand why people want to have events at the location. I can see that there is some staff there that provides great service and makes you feel welcome. I can understand why many local people may stop in to eat and drink. I can also see a property that I think is overrated based on the level of service I received. I can see a property that may not give as they are so busy they have lost sight of what made them good. I can see a property that doesn't have a great ability to hold themselves accountable and is not able to evaluate their own performance accurately. There are many other great Marriott Properties that I have stayed at in Dallas. There are some things in life that don't disappoint like Niagara Falls, Mona Lisa or the Grand Canyon. The Adolphus Hotel is unfortunately disappointing on many levels.

Perfect location, has valet in parking garage, perfect views of downtown. Roof top bars with live music. They also have a cap service that makes it easy to get round Dallas without uber or rental. Something worth mentioning is that the Titanic's Piano had a twin sister, the sister is in this hotel. It's Truly a treasure and even better to hear it being played.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful hotel-wowwwww.
We dined here when we first came to Dallas to look at properties. Very classy! We found out the Queen & King of England stayed here many years ago. They had a local country singer and we enjoyed happy hour at the bar area and their lounge. At night, due to the rift rafts outside, they locked the doors and you can only enter with a room key code. It make sense especially on a crazy night like NYE. Price for drinks etc can be pricey but if you want a cheaper option, go to the bar down the corner. Walking distance to a handful of awesome museums. Our friends stayed here for NYE. We enjoyed having a couple drinks here before heading to the Monarch for dinner with a view of the fireworks etc.

The Adolphus, a historic landmark of downtown Dallas, is a favorite of mine when visiting central Texas and the only reason I sometimes stay elsewhere is either because the rates (such as for the Red River Showdown) can be a tad prohibitive or my business needs place me elsewhere in the area. It offers a feel for the Dallas of years past while providing all the necessary amenities for today's traveler at a relatively reasonable price and fairly reliable availability. Inside, the rooms are modern, spacious and well appointed, the lobby offers fine dining, fun dining, drinks at the bar, numerous places to hang out, and even an on-site barber shop.Centrally located, The Adolphus allows for easy access to everything downtown and to other important parts of Dallas via the city's often confusing and sometimes nightmarish highway system. If there is one Achilles heel it has to be the valet service, a problem that is not easily fixed and can be frustrating. Nevertheless, the staff is always friendly and helpful and they seem genuinely glad that you are visiting.

Your. Lobby. Bar.It's ridiculous. I've been 5 times and every time it's the exact same experience:Bartender hands me a printed menu"I'll have draft beer A""We don't have any draft beers""Okay, I'll have bottled beer B""We're out of B""Okay, I'll have bottled beer C""We're out of C"Seriously folks, 1. Fire your bar manager and hire someone who knows how to order2. Change your printed menu to stop showing beers you never haveThis isn't complicated stuff. Literally every other bar in town handles all of this just fine. You're supposed to be a 5-star hotel ?!?!?
Be the first to ReplyI was in town for my national sales meeting.
The Adolphus was amazing from the architecture and history to the friendly staff my stay was great. It was very clean and I would stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyThe room was really nice with two king beds.
Sitting area and large bathroom. Hotel still has its charm but has been updated as needed. Employees were so nice and helpful.
Be the first to ReplyOkay, this review isn't specifically for The Adolphus
Okay, this review isn't specifically for The Adolphus hotel, but rather for the valet service. On January 22, my daughter and I had afternoon tea in the French Room at the Adolphus. It was lovely and we had a wonderful time.We were leaving and went to the valet stand to retrieve our car. We stood talking waiting for our car - at the time there no other patrons waiting for vehicles but it seemed to be taking a very long time. I look up and our car (with the valet driver) is down the street, maybe a half a block, he's got the window rolled down and he's having a conversation with a homeless gentleman. Five minutes goes by....he's Still talking to the guy....I go over the the valet stand where 5 other guys are working and say, excuse me, but that's our car and I have no idea what he's doing but we'd like to leave. One of the valet guys starts yelling and screaming at the one in our car - eventually the homeless man walks away from the window and our car is brought to us. No one says anything to us.....Worst. Valet. Ever.

Super small lobby bar with the nicest staff and a great selection of bourbon and scotch. Great place to wait while your room is two hours past due for preparation. Haha. Seriously. Great vibe and nice folks.
Be the first to ReplyWe had drinks in the lobby bar.
The service was not good. The drinks were great. One person ordered a cosmo with Belvadere vodka. The cost was $18. Unfortunately a normal price. Imagine my surprise when $3 charge was added to each drink for using a martini glass. Then the valet was unable to take electronic payment. So I used the ATM and was charged a $4.50 free. Is this a strip club? Gone are the days of the elegant and sophisticated Adolphus hotel. Tips, everyone seems to demand tips for inadequate service. Now the hotel bar is nothing more than a sad version of a once great place! We will never be back.
Be the first to ReplyThe hotel was great.
The room was perfectly clean and spacious, incredible for downtown Dallas. Justin and Dwight at the bar were fantastic. Definitely recommend stopping by for a drink.
