Tatsuda Omakase New York Reviews from The Last Year
For $90 pp you get 14 courses including dessert.
Fish quality is probably one of the best in Manhattan and the service was good. They gave us complimentary sake but we also got cocktails which were sweet how I enjoy them. We also got the house special course which felt a bit too clumsy since there was so many types of fish in it. I wouldn't get it but the rest was amazing!
Overall, a great experience.
This is a $90/pp 14-course omakase featuring some of the nicest cuts of fish. Everyone can say the same things about omakase, but this is to mainly highlight the enjoyable experience and ambiance Tatsuda offers. Everyone you come in contact with is very friendly and you're situated on the counter with seating for 12. We definitely enjoyed the sake flights, and once in a while you may be in the receiving end of a complimentary shot of sake! You even get to shoot with the chef, depending on who you get. Definitely did not feel rushed and we definitely savored the flavor with every bite. Please do give Tatsuda a try!
EVERYTHING HERE WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Every piece of nigiri
EVERYTHING HERE WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Every piece of nigiri was perfectly assembled with such fresh fish. Each piece was also so big which made the meal super filling! The staff were all so so so nice - shoutout to chef ken!! The counter was so cute and had such a good vibe to it. The service was amazing too. I loved everything about this place and i'll 100% be returning.
Service was so great! Loved getting to watch the chef cut
Service was so great! Loved getting to watch the chef cut eveything up right in front of us. Such a fun experience as my first time trying omakase! 14 courses for $90
Best omakase, would love to comeback soon! Attentive
Best omakase, would love to comeback soon! Attentive servers and highly skilled chefs! A nice and spacious restaurant
One of the best "under $100" omakase deals you can get in
One of the best "under $100" omakase deals you can get in Manhattan, the wonderful service really pushes it over a notch and makes it a memorable experience. I'm personally more of a traditional edomae sushi person so I wasn't crazy about the torch flamed or fusion stuff but those were executed well, so no complaints. So glad they serve special cuts of tuna like kamatoro!
Tatsuda is a new omakase in Manhattan that has been open
Tatsuda is a new omakase in Manhattan that has been open for 7 months, offering great value Omakade with 14 courses at $90 per person. The ingredients are very fresh, the are delicious, and tatsuda special has A5 Wagyu, Sea Scallop on O-Toro, and Hokkaido Sea Urchin~The rich and fragrant taste feels like flying to heaven with just one bite. The cocktail, golden yuzu, is not very sweet and is very refreshing. They also served sake, making it a very satisfying meal. Highly recommended‼
Recommended for those of you who are in the neighborhood.
Operated by well trained Chinese chefs and owners. I'm a sushi connoisseur and prefer Japanese chefs, but this place is one of very few exceptions. Offers a 14 course omakase for $95 + optional add-ons. I think that's fair decent value for NYC and what this restaurant offers. Recommended. Food - a very solid omakase combination and progression. You really can't go wrong with sake, hamachi, amaebi, saba, uni, maguro, chutoro, otoro, wagyu, and unagi. Maybe, an addition of kani would've been nice for me personally. Also a shot of nice sake and a small slice of somewhat out-of-place cheese cake were served on the house at the end. I thought texture of sake and hamachi were a little tight for my taste. I'm also not a fan of hand torched sushi (3 out of 14), but bluefin tuna 1/2/3 punch was very solid. B+ Ambience - overall a good clean small modern hole in the wall vibe. There appears to be about 10~ sushi bar seats. No table. Think they can probably have a better use of space and fit a much longer sushi bar with more seats. Also, it's a little odd to have a back kitchen entrance with three half curtains in the middle of the sushi bar. B- Service - good nice folks with good intentions, but not professionally trained or run. Also there was an older looking chef that appears solely focused on closing the sushi bar and kitchen while omakase was still ongoing for 4-5 customers with 30 min still remaining until the closing time. Lots of foot traffic in the sushi bar which made the experience a little bit busy and unsettling. B-
Tatsuda Omakase was such an amazing dining experience.
We visited Tatsuda while on an overnight trip to New York. The tasting menu was awesome, and the environment was super intimate. Everyone is seated around a bar where you can watch two chefs prepare your various food items for your meal. It was a 14 course, 75 minute experience. We added on a sake tasting to pair with our dishes. In total, we paid $130/pp + tip. Great food and an amazing price, you definitely should try this place out on your next visit.
Extremely delicious sushi, talented chefs, and wonderful
Extremely delicious sushi, talented chefs, and wonderful service. I think about this place at least once a day. Went for an anniversary and they made our experience very special. Super intimate (seats ~10 people). Very enjoyable. They were also very accommodating for gluten free - my menu changed a little because of it but it didn't make a difference in how great it was.
