Nice time
It was a good experience. I would definitely do it again. On a night downtown jumping though π I dont remember her name but our driver was awesome. Seats hurt though
Birthday Celebration!
Had an Absolute Ball celebrating my Friends Birthday on the Dallas Party Bike! Each of the bars on the tour offered food & drink specials & truly made us feel like the VIP'S that we were. Angelo was a WONDERFUL Host! He made sure that we enjoyed ourselves & took great care getting us to & from the destination. If you're looking for a different type of celebration, Dallas Party Bike is it! 10/10.
Chef Tatsu is exceptional.
Being the only Michelin Star restaurant in Dallas, my expectations were high and this restaurant and Chef did not disappoint The sushi quality was excellent as to be expected but what i enjoyed most was the conversation with Chef as he prepared each dish. There are two seating times both only fitting 12/13 people so very intimate setting. Noise level is low with diners mainly communicating with who they came with but would say the environment was very much comfortable and welcoming. the Tokyo sake was my favorite although we tasted quite a few that were also good but i'd likely do the wine pairing option if i were to return again.

I set an alarm/reminder like someone else suggested to make sure we got our reservations in, otherwise you have to remember when booking will be open to the public. Ambiance is excellent and the hospitality here is amazing. The chef takes his time explaining everything that's on the menu. Don't forget to get your menu signed!

First time coming to a Michelin star and i can see why the hype. The menu was special for the day and the service was impeccable. They know everyone's name coming in and have an extensive knowledge of the menu. Each piece of sushi from the appetizer to the dessert had a different taste and the chef explained what type of fish it was. Even the sushi made of scallions, seaweed and rice was delicious. The whiskey paired well and left me needing to go to the liquor store to buy some. They only allow 10 people at a time to ensure a special experience and the chef will answer any question you have gladly and with a smile. Definitely a great experience and i left full as well.
Ya'll.
This is hands down some, if not, THE best sushi I've ever had. All the ingredients were fresh, well crafted, and I was truly taken aback by how every bite... I wanted more and thought it was better than the last. Chef Tatsu is quite exceptional at his craft. He was very friendly and explained a lot to us. I personally had many a Michelin, but this may top my list. The service was top notch, and I genuinely cannot wait to return.

It's a very elegant restaurant and you felt very welcomed and special when entering. There was a small wait, but we all entered the dining room together. The. Chef and sou chef were very polite and knew exactly what they were doing. There were about fifteen different items to try and they were all very unique with there own textures and flavors. Even the green tea and ice cream with balsamic vinegar were different but really good. We all enjoyed our meal and noone felt bad at how overly expensive it was.

I have been to Tatsu twice and was just as excited the second time. It is currently the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Dallas, and there is good reason for that. Mr. Tatsu is a man of details. He cares about everything, from the water the rice is cooked in to the origin of the fish, which is flown in fresh daily. He even remembered us when we returned, which made the experience feel even more personal. I always arrive early to get the best seat, right in front of Mr. Tatsu himself. You can tell he is down to earth and deeply dedicated to his craft. I have had sushi in Tokyo, New York City, and San Francisco, and I can confidently say you do not need to travel the world to find the best. It is right here in Dallas.

I finally managed to grab a reservation here after trying several times. The google map directions to this place are a bit confusing but we got there eventually. We sat in a small seating area and waited for the servers to get the dining area ready. The hostess then led each of the waiting members to the dining space. It was an intimate setting with about 10 diners. We were seated in a line, all facing the counter where Chef Tatar and his sous chef prepared the dishes. All the items were delicious. The sushi was fresh and presented in creative ways. The chef personally served each of us and explained where the fish was from. I enjoyed the experience and hope to be back soon. He signed the menus for us at the end! This was my first experience at a Michelin star restaurant and I was impressed!
MIchelin Star aside, Tatsu is really the BEST sushi place
MIchelin Star aside, Tatsu is really the BEST sushi place DFW has to offer. There is no where else that does traditional sushi like Tatsu. Additionally this is also the BEST omakase in DFW as well. Being an omakase might turn some people off since they don't get to choose what they eat so I would only recommend Tatsu if the person truly loves sushi. Chef Tatsu will use some fish that might not cater to casual's preferences. I have actually witnessed multiple people not want the Uni (sea urchin) piece... Chef Tatsu is very meticulous in his craft. Every ingredient you eat during the meal has been chosen carefully: the rice, the seaweed, the vinegar, and even the water the rice was cooked in. It all comes together for one of the best sushi meals you will ever have. Also, Tatsu has the absolute BEST Unagi (freshwater eel) piece you will find ANYWHERE. It's very different than what you're expecting from Unagi. If you TRULY love sushi, GO TO TATSU!
Obviously the sushi here is of the highest quality and so
Obviously the sushi here is of the highest quality and so is the service, but I gotta say, the whole experience is pretty underwhelming considering the price. Also the appetizer courses are just boring and totally uninspired. The difficulty of getting a reservation really is not justified, if you're going to drop this kind of money you're better off going to Tei-An to be honest. Same high quality sushi but for the same price you're going to get more interesting dishes, A5 wagyu beef course, better dessert, and a nicer setting. Sure, come to Tatsu once to check it off your list I guess since it has the historic distinction of being the first michelin starred restaurant in dallas but they're just cashing in on that distinction.
An Incredible Experience β Perfect for Corporate Events!
I canβt say enough great things about Dallas Party Bike and the team behind itβespecially Shawn! I was planning a team-building event for 30 employees after a long day of meetings and wanted something fun and interactive, but not too heavy on the βpartyβ side. I reached out to see if the typical experience could be adjusted for a corporate groupβand from the very first response, Shawn was amazing. He was quick to reply, super accommodating, and worked with me to create a customized route that was perfect for our team. He suggested stops that would be fun and memorableβlike the graffiti walls for group photos and a hilarious scavenger hunt that got everyone laughing. We even made a dinner stop at The Electric Shuffle (highly recommend!) where the bikes waited for us while we enjoyed great drinks, food and shuffleboard for over an hour. The drivers were fantasticβfun, energetic, and happy to let us choose our own music. They really helped make the ride special. At one point, one of the drivers had to leave unexpectedly, and Shawn stepped in himself to keep everything on track without any disruption to our experience. That kind of service is rare! The entire event far exceeded my expectations. If youβre looking for something unique, well-organized, and fun for a team outing or group event, donβt hesitateβbook with Dallas Party Bike. Iβd plan another event in Dallas just to work with them again!
Good sushi, fresh fish.
The rolls were well-made. Service was quick. Nice ambiance. Worth a visit.
Dallas Party Bike Experience
This was my first time on a party bike. Angelo was great! He made our experience very memorable. I would definitely request him again.
Fun and all eyes on us
Great experience and Carolina was awesome and professional . It was a cold night but you would have not known because it was so exciting
Great way to spend a team building evening!
We had a team meeting in Dallas and went on the bike tour for an evening of fun. And we were not disappointed! Michelangelo was our guide and he was super and Made it enjoyable!! We didnβt have time to pick up our own alcohol, and Michelangelo had us bike to a close 711 as our first stop. It worked out great!

I can't add much to what's already been said here, so I'll
I can't add much to what's already been said here, so I'll just highlight a few things: 1. Arrive early, and enjoy the lounge experience...it's tranquil and lovely (just like the main dining room, but with a bit more zhuzh). The wine menu is exquisite and quite reasonably priced for what you get. 2. I have a legitimate shellfish allergy...this is not some "I don't eat gluten" bullshit. A bite of shellfish could kill me. So, I REALLY appreciate that Tatsu accommodates shellfish allergies. I still haven't been to Shoyo and other omakase places because they won't accommodate. I get it, because a lot of food restrictions are just preferences, and that's annoying...but for those of us for whom food allergies are potentially life-threatening, it's really nice to have chefs like Tatsuya Sekiguchi who are willing to make it possible for me to experience their incredible preparations. Arigatou, Chef! 3. Yeah, I don't think I care about going to other omakase places anyway after experiencing Tatsu. I've had some "great" omakase (like Sushi Nakazawa in NYC) but have never had anything that equaled the experience of Tatsu. It was a fantastic dinner for a special occasion! You do have to just cross your fingers that you don't have anyone annoying in your group. A group at the end of the bar at one point was loudly disparaging my chosen career, obviously unaware of what I do. So, you know, that wasn't very nice, but I don't hold that against Tatsu.
THE BEST TIME IN DALLAS
100/10 !! Second time doing the party bike for my birthday and every time it has been THE MOST FUN EXPERIENCE the drivers are the absolute best vibes, Felix was perfect for our group!!! This is the literally the only and best way to celebrate your birthday in Dallas. Only thing is I wish we could go all day, we did not want to get off !!! So much fun !!!!
Hit the happy hour for food and drink.
Great deals, decent food and service. Cool spot. Need to hit up the dumplings next time.
If your #1 goal in coming to Tatsu is to get photos for
If your #1 goal in coming to Tatsu is to get photos for your social media accounts then you're probably better off going to Komodo. If your #1 goal is to experience an authentic Japanese omakase experience without the flight to Tokyo, then leave your tripod at home and get yourself to Tatsu! I've eaten at many top-rated sushi / omakase spots across the country including back when Nobu was at the top of its game with only one restaurant. The fish quality, preparation, presentation and calm, soothing atmosphere at Tatsu has risen to the top of all my past experiences. The service from the initial greeting, lounge drinks, seating, wine pairings, and low-key guidance and information during the meal was perfect. In respect to the food, craft, chef, and 9 other diners in the quiet, intimate space, once seated my phone went in my pocket. The few photos posted were prior to the meal. Yelp has enough photos of the food to give you a good idea of what you'll be getting! Currently at $185 per person before drinks, tax and service charge, plan on spending a bit for your quality meal. But it'll be less than 1/4th the price of a flight to Tokyo; Tatsuya Sekiguchi and his cast bring the Japanese fish market to you!

I also am very versed in cooking and have hosted 8 course tasting menus at my home. Although I'm no aficionado I do enjoy sushi. We booked this about 3 weeks in advance for our 8th anniversary and were very excited. On the day of our reservation I was diagnosed with strep throat. Although I was cleared by my doctor to attend I thought it would be best to reschedule. We understand when we booked the reservation our deposit was amount in full and non refundable. We weren't looking for a refund but called to see if we would be able to reschedule to a day I would be able to taste and enjoy the experience more. We were told that wouldn't be possible and we would lose our $450 deposit. Disappointed we still went to not lose our deposit. Entering the venue was quite the experience, we were promptly greeted and seated in a modern waiting area where we enjoyed a glass of wine. We had expected a cocktail menu but it was just a wine and sake list. The wine list was vast and impressive. We sat down for our meal in the dining area and the seating and atmosphere was very comfortable. They had baskets for purses and offering of water, still, bottled or sparkling. We added the classic sake pairing to our menu. The first couple of rounds were enjoyable but some of the items I could not palate. Not for my dislike of the item simply because I had strep throat. To note the person we told on the phone I had strep was also the host. One of the items I did not eat and the host noticed and asked if I would like to have alternate courses. She assumed it was because I didn't like the look of certain items, I explained I like all food and just can't quite palate much because I'm sick. She explained she knew. Well the next course comes out and I am served something different from everyone else. I understand the chef was trying to accommodate. Me looking confused she came up again and explained the chef thought I would like this more. I said please leave the menu the same it has nothing to do with my like of items simply being sick. After this the chef barely made any comments to us nor told us what we were eating but seemed to chat along with others. The extra attention was embarrassing as others kept wondering what was going on with us. Overall sickness aside. I can see this being a fun dinner for those who have a lot of knowledge about sushi. The chef did not introduce himself nor offer an explanation of any of the courses just simply repeated the one word menu item. We were hoping for more of a culinary experience and perhaps a lil education on how to best taste the fish and what to be searching for taste wise. None of that was offered. It was an odd experience we felt as if we were under a microscope the social aspect was also very awkward and dry. We normally enjoy the chatter and discussion with others but the room was silent. All in all we spent close to $750, we half wondered if it was a pop up high end scam. But if not, none of the food was amazing for either of us, nothing mind blowing and for the price that's what we were expecting. Next time we'll take that amount of money and go to a Michelin starred restaurant.

Lynn was amazing! Highly recommend the tour! We enjoyed ourselves a ton! If you are looking for something fun to do in downtown this is a mustβ
Dinner at Tatsu is a journey into the heart of traditional
Dinner at Tatsu is a journey into the heart of traditional Edomae Sushi, masterfully guided by the skilled hands of Executive Chef and Owner, Tatsuya Sekiguchi. Nestled in the vibrant Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Tatsu offers an intimate dining experience that stands out amidst the city's high-end Omakase options. While I personally lean more towards the modern more fusion interpretations of Omakase found at Shoyo and Sushi | Bar, the undeniable skill and exceptional quality of ingredients at Tatsu make for a compelling case of traditional over trendiness. Chef Tatsuya's expertise is evident in every bite. Having honed his craft under the legendary Sushi Chef Naomichi Yasuda, and with roots tracing back to a nearly century-old family restaurant in Japan, his creations are a testament to the legacy of Edomae Sushi. The omakase meal--a thoughtful curation of seasonal dishes, including three small appetizers (otsumami), a variety of nigiri, a temaki (hand roll), chawanmushi (egg custard), miso soup (miso shiru), warm tamago, and an understated dairy-free ice cream with balsamic vinegar for dessert--is served in an engaging 10-seat environment that encourages interaction with Chef Tatsu, offering insight into the meticulous art of his omakase preparation. Hosting guests in an intimate setting, Tatsu Dallas is not just a meal, but a cultural immersion. The dedication to Japanese hospitality and the intimate setting provide a backdrop to Chef Tatsu's culinary expertise. Whether you're a devotee of traditional sushi or a fan of its more contemporary iterations, Tatsu offers an exquisite showcase of skill, tradition, and the freshest global and local ingredients that is sure to leave a memorable impression.

Foods are very authentic, I have to say it is one of the most authentic sushi place in DFW area. Shoyu is great but more towards fusion. Tatsu sushi's rice is exactly how you will taste if you travel to Japan. Ambiance was ok, service was good. However the foods qty is a bit less than what I was expected for an omakase price pieces . it should probably range from 18-20 pieces of the sushi portion instead of 14 pieces. That is the only recommendation I would probably suggested. Other than that, everything else is great! Definitely will try to buy out the whole facilities for private event
If there was a way to give Tatsu more stars, I would.
This was one of the two most perfect dining experiences I've had in my life. If you enjoy sushi and respect the art of those who make it, you must go to Tatsu. If, however, you dunk your tuna roll in soy sauce before eating it, don't go--it's definitely not for you. If I enumerated every praise-worthy thing about Tatsu, this review would be the length of a short story. There are other reviews out there that do a good job of describing how wonderful it is. It's everything they say and more. You will have an intimate dining experience, you will be able to watch Chef make each piece, and he will tell you about the fish. If you like sake, get the pairing. And be sure to try one of the special cocktails dreamed up by the talented bartender, they are delicious--there are even some very imaginative and tasty mocktails. I hope Dallas supports Tatsu, it is one of the finest restaurants we have ever had here. You will not be disappointed.
Tatsu is an absolute gem! While my partner and I waited for
Tatsu is an absolute gem! While my partner and I waited for our table, we were welcomed to seat at the bar where Crystal was crafting all the beverages. She was a delight! Super friendly and the drinks we ordered (NYC in DFW Sour, Winter Cider?, Smokey Mezcal? Unsure of the latter two names) and they were well balanced and delicious! As for the sushi, I was blown away at the quality of the fish. I can go on and on about my take on each course, but overall, outstanding tender textures throughout most of the courses. The fish spoke for themselves, so any additional toppings and flare wasn't necessary for outstanding flavor. My favorite pieces of the night are the Iwashi (Japanese sardine) and Toro (fatty tuna). Outside of the sushi, I really enjoyed the homemade dairy free ice cream. I loved the espresso balsamic vinegar! Overall, I highly recommend anyone to visit Tatsu if they're looking for an intimate, traditional omakase experience in Dallas!
This is more than a dinner.
It is an experience. Chef prepares each selection with precision. The sushi is so fresh and tender, it melts in your mouth. The bar and specifically the bartender, Crystal, is amazing. Just tell her what you usually enjoy drinking and she can craft the perfect beverage for you. The whole restaurant has a nice vibe and you can tell that a lot of thought went into the presentation. The bathrooms even have heated toilets. I highly recommend this restaurant, Chef Tatsu, and mixologist Crystal.
Must try!!!
Felix our driver was amazing! He took us to some awesome spots! I would definitely recommend trying this!
It's like a trip to Japan.
Classic traditional nigiri omakase menu and beverage pairings. The bar is amazing before and after dinner, as Crystal does a great job as their mixologist.

This review is for the kirameki bar next door to the omakase seating. I can't say enough great things about Crystal, our expert mixologist, and the wonderful and inviting environment she created along with the lovely cocktails. Usually you are not able to order nigiri from the bar, but on this night the chef was feeling some sort of holiday cheer because we got the chance to try some pieces and they were amazing! If only we knew beforehand so we wouldn't have eaten so much for 1st dinner haha. We were told the kirameki bar was a recent offering, but I hope it stays around for a while and will definitely return on a future trip to dallas.
Awesome experience!!!
Our tour guide was amazing!!!!! We loved her energy!!!!! She was one the best parts of our experience. All of the bars were great. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This place is amazing! Hands down my favorite restaurant in Dallas to date. We arrived a bit early and were able to sit down at the bar for a few drinks before dinner. The bartender did such an amazing job with our cocktails. We ended up coming back after our dinner for a night cap to discover there's an after-dinner cocktail menu. The dinner was a 10/10. The omakase dinner was well presented and amazingly delicious. Our favorites were the TKG, kawahagi, Samara and the tiger shrimp. Can't wait for another special occasion to come back!
Cousins Day Out.
On a scale from 1 to 10 this was a 10+ Lol! It was 10 of us out on our annual cousins trip. Our driver was amazing and explained all the rules clearly before we left. You are allowed to listen to whatever music you like and of course it's also BYOB. The only time you are really asked to pedal is leaving from a stop sign or a red light but other than that, it's not needed. My family and I enjoyed this so much we are already making plans for next yr. Thanks Dallas Party Bike. π₯³ ππΎ
Jordan is the best!!

An absolute party
We had the absolute best Mother-Daughter day out on the Party Bike! I live in Deep Ellum and see it go by often, and everyone always looks like they have the best time. So I planned to make it happen for friends and family on their next visit. Booking was very easy online with a number of slots available virtually all day. We picked a Sunday afternoon. We arrived to see Felixβs (our captain) smiling face and great energy! Because it was 2 of us, we had to join another party who was celebrating a birthday. We had the best time! We stopped off at 3 clubs (Electric Shuffle, Federales and Trinity Cider) and the famous Blue Alley for a photo op! It was great because I got to visit places I never got to go to! Felix provided great recommendations for each stop and the neighborhood in general. I highly recommend this tour and plan to do it again, but at night time! I have a feeling it will be a even better experience!
