't Lansink (Hotel - Restaurant) Hengelo Reviews from The Last Year
Fantastic meal with a bitter aftertaste!
When booking an overnight stay with a 6-course dinner, we opted for a package that offered this. In addition to the overnight stay and dinner, this package includes: a glass of champagne as an aperitif before dinner a coffee or tea with delicacies after dinner a gift Dinner was fantastic: we really enjoyed the distinct flavors of the dishes and the delicious sauces. Both the waiting staff in the restaurant and the hotel receptionist were extremely friendly. When we told them that the bathroom (with single glazing) was very cold and that the heating could not get it warm, a radiant heater was added to the bathroom. The sommelier was skilled and could talk about the wines served with enthusiasm. Why the sour aftertaste?: The price for the package was EUR 554.00. It later turned out that the price for an overnight stay with breakfast is EUR 186.00 and the price for the 6-course dinner is EUR 129.00 per person. The gift was a bottle of special beer and you don't have to pay for a gift. That leaves us EUR 110.00, which we paid for two glasses of champagne and two coffees with friandises. Our advice to future guests: don't take a package, otherwise you won't be disappointed.
't Lansink is truly natural, without the hassle of a star restaurant.
't Lansink deserves much more than one Michelin star. Our expectations have been far exceeded. This restaurant can compete with the very best, even with three-star restaurants that we visited in the past year. The hospitality is warm, the organization is flexible because the guest is king here. The menu is balanced, every course is surprising. Here you can enjoy a very tasty and cozy meal in a historic building.
A culinarily tasteful, surprising and simply delicious ride in the middle of Hengelo. Go visit Chef van Galen & his team
Visit restaurant ‘t Lansink, let chef Lars van Galen and his team spoil you well. Enjoy the lovely courses, drink and love their tasteful pairing wines…and enjoy a romantic night and one of their conformable rooms afterwards. The restaurant comes with a lovely boutique hotel located in the former ‘Stork Guest house building’. Hotel rooms are large, cosy, romantic and conformable. But the hotel is all about its delicious and rightfully so Michelin-star rated restaurant.
What a wonderful discovery. We are used to a few things in the West, but this gem is located in Hengelo.
The team at 't Lansink turned our festive family lunch into a memorable event. The warm, hospitable welcome, the refined cuisine, the unique ambiance, everything became a discovery. One Michelin star hides something very beautiful!
Fabulous fabulous dinner
I have eaten in many restaurants around the world and this compares very well. A well balanced menu beautiful cooked and sensationally presented. It has all the usual structures of a Michelin menu but I really must complement chef for his invention and his tastes. I visited from London so have many restaurants to compare against and to his place stands up very well. A must to try.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
