Sugar Factory American Brasserie - Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year

Was so hyped about this place and then boom!!! It is the ABSOLUTE WORSE RESTAURANT!! They had no menus and after sitting there for 45 minutes a waitress come to take our order, so then we asked for a menu we was waiting for the first person to bring back. They had no silverware's for all of us. Nothing we ordered on the menu was available, kids settled for stir fry that came out with little to no rice or chicken but a bowl full of peppers/onions. Jason pasta was not done with what he ordered. So waitress states she couldn't do nothing about it, I asked for the manager. Manager comes out and he couldn't do anything, so he send the chief out that spoke little to no English. I asked for the manager again and he comes out with no solution. Oh, get this they claim there is no corporate office. The worst $200 I've ever spent and we still got to find something to eat DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
After trying to call the restaurant 3 times with no answer,
After trying to call the restaurant 3 times with no answer, we were able to make a reservation for 6 PM. We arrived a little early so we were seated early. It was extremely cold in there so bring a jacket. As we ordered our food, many of the items we wanted were no longer available to order. No buffalo chicken wings, no firecracker shrimp stir fry, and no Chicken and waffles. At this point, we were a little frustrated but we ordered chicken Alfredo and sesame chicken stir fry. My friends ordered loaded fries which were really good. My other friend ordered the Mac n cheese burger which she said was so yummy. For drinks, my daughter ordered the Cookie Monster milkshake which did not look like the Cookie Monster shake we got at the Sugar factory in Orlando. She originally wanted the cotton candy milkshake but this was another item that was not available. The music was decent and the place was not busy at this time. It was also pretty clean. Our server was good but he did not inform us about the added gratuity to parties of 6 or more. It was 2 adults and 4 children with 2 infants. Overall, it could have been a better experience for the prices. We will probably not return.

The food was delicious and the server's and waiter's are nice as well make up for the waiting with pure delicious food and drinks so that's my review and if don't know about this place look it up and have a nice day.
My family and I went to the sugar factory on Friday, July
My family and I went to the sugar factory on Friday, July 12 it was around 830 and we did the reservation online, as soon as we walked in, it was beautiful. The server was young ladies. They were super friendly and super nice. They greeted everybody. The service our server we had Luna was okay we ordered the appetizer sampler. It was no seasoning on the chicken or the burgers. The chicken of the chicken tenders was not done. I did ask for a remake of the tender and it came back and it had the chicken skin still on it, so it was slimy and stretchy, the chicken take a piece the chicken one with the skin still attached. We ordered the hot Cheeto burger that was bland as well, but it was nice looking. we also ordered the rainbow burgers, no seasoning but super pretty. We didn't get any refills of our drinks as we ran out. Didn't complain, no manager came around and asked how any of the guest were doing as we were seated the entire time. I dislike that they don't have a children's menu for the kids to order off of. I did ask about that and she recommended the chicken tenders on the appetizer and the rainbow burger that we got the rainbow burgers which were $29 no fries for my son who's 9. The servers sang happy birthday to a lot of guest and that was super cool and a whole vibe, keep being amazing SERVERS & HOST.As it got later the host and a couple other girls came around passing out cotton candy to the children in the restaurant that was super cool and sweet..
Please boycott this location.
They do not pay their workers for hours worked. My daughter has reached out for almost 3 months to get two weeks worth of pay and the manager Nikia is ignoring all messages. I always looked at the Sugar Factory as a great establishment but this experience has caused me to never go back to them again.
Truly enjoyed my experience here at the ATL location.
Our server was Charleston!!! And he was awesome. Great customer service. Thx for the recommendation Jeff. I shared a Hennymoon with my other. The wings were a good start. The dip was great as well. We did not have reservations however we came on a Wednesday pre-evening. It was not pack. It's safe to say we will be returning
Sugar factory, this place is known for it being a trendy
Sugar factory, this place is known for it being a trendy spot where you can take unique Instagram photos, and hang out with your friends having an experience like no other. so we thought... I cannot even begin to fathom the lack of urgency, professionalism, and attentiveness I've witnessed yesterday. Look I'm not going to stay here on the pedestal and say that I'm the customer. Because the customer is always right the customer doesn't know the policy. I've worked in customer service for food services & in retail. And what I can tell you is that that each experience case by case situation. HOWEVER, what I am about to tell you......... you know what into it. This week the week of Father's Day just so happens to be my birthday week as well. On last night, which would be the 18th. my friends decided to take me to a nice dinner one of them had experience that set a bar of what supposed to happen at any sugar factory across the nation. Then reservations are at 8:00 PM. As we walked to the entrance on Peachtree Street, I went ahead and got to the door so we could let them host know that we were here and on time. Well first of all the doors themselves to get in and out of the facility are extremely hard to push to where it IS a fire hazard. Me and another set of guest. We're trying to get through the door and after about 15 seconds finally one of the employees acknowledge us and tries to help after staring at us struggling but OK we just let that one slide no big deal. As I walk in the facility first, absolutely no greeting from anyone. OK, great first impression again still but also with the underlining problem that was been my experience with the fact that I was hit with a wall of heat. Without anyone explaining to why is it so dreadfully hot and this place. Especially, when outside's humidity is 80% and the temperature is about 95°. No keep in mind. They're not a lot of people here at this time of day from what I can see. Still have no explanation as to why we were sitting at the front and when I say we had to miss several other different Guest we're waiting at the front for 23 minutes after our reservation. We should never wait that long. To have someone finally come up to the booth and acknowledge our existence. So after practically 30 minutes of walking into the place with a reservation and not being seated immediately with the reservation. Which defeats the whole point of making a reservation we finally get seated. Honestly, at this point, the amount of irritation I had on my face was spoken through the way I walk and my demeanor at the time. So after I had to go back to the car and get something come back order a few shots of Casamigos. (Everyone this is a PSA that I have to give out about Casamigos if you enjoy tequila any Casamigos tequila I repeat Casamigos is not tequila. It's not aged all the way and there's only sugar and water. There other true tequila, brand drinks out there and don't settle anything less you will wake up with a hangover) So now that we are finally seated in what I believe is an excuse for us to why they're open under the deplorable conditions. We're sitting quite literally in front of an AC unit blowing air on us at full capacity any other time I would never complain but considering that we're going to eat right in front of this thing and there's a high possibility that my food would become colder much faster than not well with me. However, I tend to let it go, but concerning already at this point, you can see that had a terrible experience. I'm gonna try to wrap this up in one to one and a half more paragraph. For the remainder of the night our waitress will be seen only one time only came back one other time to check upon us. We had to get up and go to the bartender at the bar and ask her if she can give us any updates as to the timeframe of our food. And throughout the entirety of our two hours there both my friends were very adamant on making the staff sing happy birthday. well by the time they got to that everybody in the restaurant was gone and the employees didn't look like they wanted to do it. Was not a good experience at all. It's like your birthday is a burden to them. So before they even truly got started, I just told them to stop don't worry about the whole entire entire of the thing to say happy birthday to me and I can go on about my business because there's no one in the establishment. If it wasn't for our bartender, I don't think the night would've been faith. We could only tip her would've made that we should've short factory not what it was hot sugar, honey, iced tea sad sad, sad shell of what he used to be in Atlanta that is. Well, that's all I gotta say thanks for coming to my talk until next time...
Yea, don't bother.
Poorly maintained. It's 92 degrees today and. Inside feels hot dirty and muggy bc of no AC. It's solid 95 in here if not more. Poor employees, apparently this has been going on for awhile. Save your money and headache.
Wish I could give no stars.
Overrated!! My daughter chose this place for her bday dinner. It was a huge disappointment. The place smells like old mop water. The food has no taste. The service sucked.
We ate here while on vacation and got the burgers and salad.
It was pretty good but the prices were on the high side. I will add, the deserts are insanely huge and will feed about 3 people depending on which one you get. We got there early before it got crowded and our waitress was great! Will prob not return but glad I tried it.
Over priced and over hyped
We had reservations and waited 430p. Arrived at 420p did not see a server until 450. The food was poorly seasoned, horribly priced, the desserts were stale and old. The one food item that actually ws seasoned was so spicy it was inedible which is crazy because it was stir fry vegetables. This restaurant is over hyped over priced and over rated. Don't waste your time or money.
If I could select 0, that would be the score.
What a horrible experience. We reserved three tables and brought our engineering students there to meet alums. I ordered a salmon salad but got it with shrimp because they were out of salmon, onion rings, chicken wings, chicken tenders, and turkey burger. I also ordered beef quesadillas to go. It took over an hour to get the salad and an additional 30 mins to get the Togo food. Good thing I checked my food because my salad was missing the avocado and my quesadillas were tacos. The waitress "replaced" the food and returned with the same tacos the second time. I asked for the manager who never came. The waitress left the tacos this time and came back with "quesadillas." I looked at them and knew it wasn't beef. By this time I was done and ready to go. Got home, hubby said this is pork, not beef. We dont eat pork like that. So, it didn't get eaten. When I tried to pay, that process took about an hour. She said the manager was fixing my bill. Not sure what that meant, because there was no adjustment to my bill. I paid $52 for the wrong food. Being there almost 3 hours, I just wanted to leave. Never again will I return. Don't waste your time. Eat somewhere else.

Extremely Slow service, food was alright & policies are ridiculous.. they do not accept vertical IDs even if you're over 21 and it isn't expired. Update: owner replied to the original review that she DMed me and never sent/said a thing, so that response was a lie.
Dirty
We were there for a birthday. The food was good not great. Which we have been to several locations we thought we knew what to expect. This was the most boring Sugar Factory experience ever. This location needs some work. The bathrooms are disgusting and that’s putting it nicely. Even the benches in the waiting area were dirty and gross looking. I feel bad for the wait staff. They were great and did the best they could. They can’t help the dirtiness of the place and the fact they were out of several menu items.
There was no where to wait when we got there.
The service at the bar took forever. When we got sat we ordered our food and hour and half later one half of the food came out while my sister and her friend waited on their food I asked for ranch, I see two minutes later my server dancing and waving light sticks while we all wait on our food. The music was very loud and felt a little out of place to listen to ice spice while we eat dinner. Unable to hear the people next to us. Very unenjoyable experience. Find other places.
My experience at the Sugar Factory left much to be desired.
While the online reservation system worked well, the troubles began upon arrival. The wait to be seated was excruciatingly long, and the cramped waiting area inconvenienced both my party and other patrons trying to navigate through. The atmosphere inside was somber, with diners appearing disheartened and distressed. To make matters worse, the bar was subpar, lacking in both ambiance and service quality. Ultimately, my party and I decided to abandon our plans at the Sugar Factory and opted for the overpriced alternative of STK. Overall, a disappointing dining experience that fell short of expectations.
We arrived, and there was a line out the door.
I went to the hostess stand, where I was ignored and she answered 2 other patrons questions before telling me I must book ahead of time to be able to get a table. Then I was told we could sit at the bar where it took a while to be greeted by our friendly bartender that suggesteda couple of drinks to us. Some ladies were walking around taking fun event photos that we did buy for $20. We got 2 drinks that cost us $50. You definitely pay for atmosphere and popularity with celebrities. It was at the end of the day on a busy weekend, so the bathrooms were not up to par, and I was almost burnt by the water in the ladies' room. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would like to bring our grown kids back on a weekday when it is less chaotic.
Worlds ahead!
Food and service were great, Jazzy and Mollie took the experience to the next level!! Would recommend for any special occasion.
Wow... this place was such a bust. I wanted to love it
Wow... this place was such a bust. I wanted to love it after seeing the craze about sugar factory all over social media but the second we walked in the door we were immediately let down. We went on a Tuesday night and there were only a couple of tables filled yet it took 15+ minutes for us to be acknowledged and seated. Sat down and were handed menus that literally smelled like spoiled milk. I had seen the amazing decor and ambiance all over Instagram but this place didn't have much color let alone working TVs. After deciding not to spend $50 on a goblet drink and picking out a nice $20 margarita the size of my palm the drink was so sweet and didn't even have a hint of tequila. Can't believe this place is such a scam made the right decision and decided not to order food after we saw a couple tables around us not eat theirs or send it back. Only reason I'm glad we went is so I can make sure to never go back again! Don't waste your money or time!! The decorations reminded me of the Willy wonka experience in England
Reservation is at 3pm.
We didn't get our table until 4pm. They took our order and it's 4:30pm and still know food. This is ridiculous. I finally received my drink but I need food to drink. I'll report back if I ever receive my food.
the most ghettoest, unorganized place ever.
930 reservation for a sweet 16, didnt get a table til 1015. didn't take food order til 1040. server has an attitude. appetizer plate was dirty. like wasted a 2 hour trip for this crap. Las Vegas location was way better than this. I will never return here. Not to mention, the server didn't even acknowledge my daughters birthday.

The food is inedible, no one at our table ate more than a few bites. The space is supposed to be fun but just feels cheap and empty. They turned the lights out on us for ten minutes and couldn't figure out how to turn them back on. I sent me entree back because it was susposed to be steak but was just some pan fried greasy beef gristle and they refused to take it from the table initially until I asked for a manager. Somehow the bill was still $250 which included a 20% service fee but the waitress tried to tell me that wasn't really a tip? I think the whole business model is to pay celebrities to go there for pictures and then they have very instagram friendly deserts. Maybe go with some friends and order one desert you can all take a picture with and then throw it out if that's your thing.
The food took FOREVER AND OVERALL THE SERVICE FOR
The food took FOREVER AND OVERALL THE SERVICE FOR EVERYTHING WAS EXTREMELY SLOW. I went on a Tuesday and they were not even busy so I don't understand what took so long to get our drinks and food.
Ask for an itemized receipt
The food was fine and the service was good - nothing spectacular, but solid. We left feeling completely taken advantage of, though. Four of us and our bill was $160. You don't get an itemized receipt. When we added up our items in the car later, we think we were overcharged by about $40.
Absolutely Horrible
We made reservations for this restaurant 2 weeks in advance and confirmed over telephone that we were good to go. When we arrived, we were told that our reservation was set for a different date that had already passed, and we could not be seated for 30 minutes to an hour. An hour later, we still had not been seated and were addressed/treated as if the mistaken reservation was a mess-up on our behalf. After being talked to as if we did everything wrong, we were guaranteed the table we requested within 2 additional hours. Three hours later, we were finally seated but not where we requested. Even though our requested table was available before a walk-in party, whose reservation was made during our first hour of waiting, was seated there, we were uncomfortably seated in a walk-way at 6 small oval tables that were pushed together and had been open for the past 30 or so minutes. When seated, we did not have a server approach our table for 30 minutes, not even to take our drink orders. I found and spoke with the manager again, and our orders were taken another 30 minutes later. We waited an hour for our food just to be served incorrectly and sent back for corrections. This was an overall horrible experience and we will not be returning. The manager on duty very noticeably lacked management skills as we were not the only party having a terrible experience. Had we not travelled 2 hours in multiple vehicles to get there, we would have searched for somewhere else to celebrate our birthday. The only good thing out of this was the birthday song, dance, and desert but it could not be enjoyed due to all the events previously mentioned.
Worst experience of my life!
Where do I start? It was horrible. The server was nice but the chef was rude. I advised my food was wrong and she started screaming telling me what I ordered. It felt like I was about to be attacked. She fussed almost 10 straight minutes about why my food should be right, when clearly it wasn’t. I have never been screamed at by a chef. Also we had reservations. They ignored us and sat other people as if we were not sitting there waiting. It was so confusing with their seating system and the way the hostess handled business. This was the worst restaurant that I have ever experienced. I don’t know which was worse, the chef or the seating process. Save yourself a horrible experience and go somewhere else.
Everyone was awesome
10/10 Omg from the host to the staff every thing was on point my daughter enjoyed her 10 th birthday We most definitely will be back !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
