Sonesta Select Miami Lakes Reviews from The Last Year
Basic Coolke Cutter Accomodations near a fairly safe neighborhood.
Positives were the lodgings being so close to major roadway . Another nice discovery was having a shopping plaza nearby that featured a Winn- Dixie grocery as well as a terrific local breakfast spot. So, the Sonesta Miami Lakes was conveniently situated with regards to food, supplies, and a change of scenery (especially necessary on a very rainy 3-day weekend in which we came to see live professional tennis). Related to the entrance/exit angle: the facility itself contains lots of back and side ground entrances if you’re just wanting to slip in and out easily without fanfare. There are two elevators that navigate Floors 1 through 4 efficiently and promptly. The stairwells are carpeted and clean, as are the hallways. The ground floor houses a guest laundry. Staff was helpful and polite, but came off as reserved and even guarded, in affect. One is accustomed to housekeeping staffers who avoid contact with clientele. Generally, I neither expect nor welcome interaction with hotel housekeeping. However, the need for genial feedback is greater with employees such as front counter agents, concierges and even lobby-cafe barristas. The public relations sphere category applies to all of the aforementioned hotel employees, and at Sonesta Select Miami Lakes, many of them are either poorly prepared, poorly equipped, or poorly placed in their jobs in these not-inexpensive lodgings. Here, I concede I cannot know the complexities of life that confronts recent transplants. So many of the staffers at jobs which more fitting individuals sniff it, came to the U.S. from Central and South America and Mexico and are a paycheck away from poverty. These folks are looking across at me from a wide, wide ethno -cultural and lingual and socioeconomic divide. By contrast, I embody the established class or caste. This status allows me to enjoy limitless access to capitalism’s many freedoms and social privileges.
It's an okay hotel for a price in Miami.
Convenient location to the restaurants, stores, highway and airport
No thank you.
This place thinks it's luxurious but it's Sears trying to cosplay as a Macy's. No in room microwave, tv didn't work, breakfast was so expensive...$1 for a banana?! Girl... Pool was down, water in gym was down, shower was gross & and if you don't have anything to say about football the guy at the front shuts down and gives stank face.
My lady partner and I stayed a week End there and I have to
My lady partner and I stayed a week End there and I have to say it was Worst weekend we have had. From breakfast that was paid for, To the both of us getting locked In the shower room. I had to use the toilet paper holder spring to get the Door opened. We told management about it but they were no hurry to check it out. We were locked in there for a good 20 minutes trying to get out.Check out this Yelp review for Sonesta Select Miami Lakes! https://www.yelp.com/biz/sonesta-select-miami-lakes-miami-lakes?hrid=BwwFF-zQpbBxWQcgZkWcsg&utm_source=ishare&utm_campaign=ios_review_share_postreview
Disgusting.
Arrived at the hotel to not find a single person in the lobby for 15 min. They seem understaffed but I only ever experienced 1 out of college guy managing the place and for the most part never at the front desk. Then with walking the halls to my room expect to find dead centipedes around from a terrible cleaning job that doesn't try. Then to have found a live roach in my shower once I arrived.
Great experience
Very good customer Service Sergio at the front desk was very helpful when we first arrived and everybody was very friendly. Very good rooms and excellent service - they even have Starbucks in house which was so great ! All around excellent experience. Management is fantastic. Thank you

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
