Rude and lie about their hours.
Spent over an hour freezing waiting for trains and buses to try this place. Got here a half hour before closing time to get a brusque "we're closed." and a shrug. My wife tried to reason with them and nothing. They finally opened the door and said "we can make you food" while we were standing outside in the 20ยฐ weather waiting for our Lyft. But at that point, who wants to stay somewhere they feel unwelcome and eat from someone who doesn't want to feed you? Don't make the trip out here if you're a tourist.

Be the first to ReplyMostly Very Good Serious Mexican Cooking
As most of the reviews mention, this is not a tacos/burritos restaurant. It is serious white tablecloth Mexican cuisine.
The highlights, in our view, were the appetizers--tapas-like small plates that you can share (if there aren't too many people). The seviche was my favorite. Good homemade guacamole and tortillas.
The main courses were mostly good, but the cooking was a little erratic. I had the rack of lamb. I requested medium, it came on the rare side of medium rare. Still very tasty. My wife had the carne asada. Also ordered medium but also came on the rare side of medium rare. Her main complaint was that the steak was tough. Others at our table had pulled pork which they enjoyed.
Our bottom line is Make a meal out of the starters and never mind the main courses.
Service uniformly pleasant and responsive.
Amazing High Mexican Dining!!!!!
Found this amazing restaurant in the Chicago Michelin guide. Located in Logan Square this family owned Authentic Mexican is truly a place to visit! No other Mexican will ever compare! The sopes app., tamales and guacamole were amazing! No bight green frozen crap margaritas, homemade strips and high end tequilas make up the plentiful margaritas list. The mezcal and tequilas list is extensive. The 3 of us shared the pollo en mole dish and a veggie dish. The mole sauce was amazing. The owners/chefโs mother makes all the sauces and moles from memory! The bread pudding warm and delicious with a homemade vanilla on top was the Bomb! The Mexican hot chocolate amazing and the Mexican coffee with orange peel and cloves with a bit of sweetness topped off this memorable meal!

We tried it based on the reviews and we were very happy. The staff is fantastic and this is truly fine dining with a Mexican flavor. The menu has so many unique options from salmon to steak to pork to lam shank to iguana. A fantastic full bar and beautiful decor. Give it a try

Be the first to ReplyWOW!!! Total quality
It takes a lot for me to review a restaurant but this spot has it all. Carlos greeted us at the front door and our experience was second to none. Great atmosphere, fast friendly service and the food was incredible.
Our meal was so fresh and tender I did mot want to stop eating. The menu is diverse and complex. The presentation of the food is artistic and the flavors are perfect.
I have found a new favorite place to eat and luckily for me it is only o few blocks away.
Excellent food and good staff.
The food is wonderful. The day of the Dead decor is nice. The staff was cordial. Nice mom and pop place that makes you feel at home.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious off-the-beaten-path Mexican Food
This place is cute and clean and the staff is lovely. The chef changes the menu every few months and offers dishes from various Mexican states. We had the Entremes Azteca Variado y Surtido, a variety of appetizers, all delicious. Ceviche tostadas, guacamole, quesadillas, taquitos and salsa. Beautifully presented. We also had the lamb chops in a rich mole, and the Chile Relleno de Mariscos Gratinados -- a poblano jammed with a variety of seafoods and cheese with a lobster cream sauce. It's not a typical Mex place. Check it out for something wonderful and different. They have a bar.
Be the first to ReplyGreat out of the way Restaurant
A group of 5 went there on a Sunday for lunch. The Restaurant has a real nice decor and loved the diverse music playing. We started with the Guacamole and the Sopes Surtidos, both were excellent. Among the plates we ordered were the Seafood Chile Rellenos, Tacos al Carbon, Sopa Mufeo, Pork Chops, Carne Asada, and the Lamb Chops in Mole Negro, plus they all came with fresh hand made tortillas. Everyone loved everything, very good food, and Carlos was great. Extensive list of Tequilas and a nice list of wines by the glass or bottle. Even their Sangria was good. Price is a little high for that neighboorhood but the food and decor is worth it.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food obnoxious customer singing loudly
Excellent food and service as always my only complaint today 10/2 was the loud obnoxious young guy sitting in adjacent far dining room playing loud music on his phone singing loudly oblivious to the rest of us in restaurant eating. He went over to bar area and got another beer Then went back to singing and burping loudly like a no class slob.
I got the impression he may be a worker there on break or finishing his shift hanging out. He was wearing orange Nikes,
If this is the case I hope mgrs make him sit outside in future if he's going to be so rude and inconsiderate to others who went to eat in peace!
