Best Persian food in London! We were looking for a restaurant near our hotel and this had the best ratings, so thought we'd give it a try. As a Persian, I cannot recommend this place enough.

My husband and I sat outside on a perfect summer evening and shared the mixed starter plate. We basically licked plates and bowls clean. Everything was delicious and fresh, the service incredibly friendly. A gem!

I absolutely loved this place! I have been my entire life surrounded by Iranian food because of my extended family so I always ate home made Persian cuisine. This restaurant does just that. Homemade 100% Make yourself a favor and try the Kanafeh they do it in a very unique way! Just wonderful with saffron/pistachio ice cream! Delicious!!

Small place - home style cooked Irani food, owner (Hussein) is very involved and passionate about his place. They don't have freezers, so meat delivers daily - for Persian bbq that is ideal, Persian food is literally butchered and served with minimal seasoning ....this is your place, we order the entire menus ...but their Kabab e Barg (lamb) makes you want to return.

Portions large. Staff friendly. Great flavors. Deserts unusual and delicious
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed at the Royal Garden Kensington Hotel.
This place was only 15 min walking distance away. The food was perfect. The hospitality was even better. You should reservd ahead of time using opentable app as the place has only 4 to 5 tables. As a salad lover the highlight of the food was the mango and parsely salad with a hint of cinnamon. The chicken skewers and rice were well cooked snd I would recommend you through in the yougert, cucumber and mint spread. 2 thumbs up.

I live nearby and had spotted this very small but interesting looking restaurant. I tried it out - and didn't regret it! The service is great, the food is fantastic and the price really reasonable. I had a salad and the boneless chicken - and paid less than £25. The salad was great but the chicken was perhaps the best I've ever had. Will definitely return!

If you're looking for a cute place to grab food in Kensington, then I highly recommend Sinuhe. This quaint Persian restaurant isn't far from most of the hotels in the area and the staff is happy to accommodate your party if you make a reservation in advance (I recommend doing so since the restaurant is small). The menu has a great selection of stews and kebabs for vegetarians and carnivores alike, and all at reasonable prices! Both my friend and I opted for a stew and shared the restaurant's famous eggplant appetizer (Kashk-e bademjon) with fresh bread, and we were happy with everything we ordered. My friend did find her stew (with pomegranate seeds and walnuts) to be a little too much on the sweet side, but she says that this was more of a personal preference than anything. I imagine that you can't go wrong with any of the dishes at Sinuhe, and I highly recommend checking it out!

Excellent, surprise gem!We initially went to this neighborhood for another restaurant, which did not have space. I spotted the name Sinuhe on the taxi drive. It revived memories of distant childhood when a book by this name was all the rage in my family. I found the mix of rustic Persian decor and modern clean designs inviting. We first went to the larger space which, as we learned is Persian tapas style restaurant that is opening in one or two days. Across the street is the sister restaurant currently open to public. I always scope the patrons at a new restaurant as a strong indicator of whether I should eat there or not. The space is small and all 4 person tables were occupied. Promptly, one couple gave up their seat, where they were already well settled so that space opens up for our family--a very kind gesture, the likes of which I had only met on a bus.The service was punctual, efficient, courteous, and pleasant. The food was phenomenal. We had boneless joojeh. Each pave was perfect size, and succulent. The koobideh for children was delicious. My wife tried Ghormeh Sabzi, which as the connaisseurs of Persian food know is never the same between any two cooks. This one was slightly savory, which coupled with perfectly sautéed vegetables and meat, made this Ghormeh sabzi one of my all time favorites. I also liked the neighborhood, which is lively with other restaurants, businesses and residential homes. For a visitor, this is an inviting area.
Be the first to ReplyAn excellent addition to the Bayswater neighbourhood.
The owner is gracious and welcoming and the food is top notch. Succulent skewers of chicken and lamb with fresh bread baked near out table. The starters were amazing as well. The highlight for us was the pomegranate and chicken stew. Delicious. It's a cozy and intimate space that's well-designed by the owner himself.
