The plate of rojak was wiped clean in no time
Heard and read about this hawker stall that attracts long queues for the rojak and decided to pop by on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived at Old Airport Road Food Centre at 4pm and there was only a short queue. You take a number and an order is placed when your number is called. The rojak is well blended and the prawn paste is nice and not overpowering. The ingredients are decent and the plate of rojak was wiped clean in no time.

This is the first time we tried Toa Payoh Rojak, which is located at Old Airport Hawkers Center in Paya Lebar area.
The shrimp paste really makes the taste of Rojak really yummy, and it doesnโt taste too sour as well like many other Rojak.
Please be prepared to wait as the queue is usually very long, but itโs truly worth the wait. Pricing is reasonable for this quality even though itโs higher than other hawker style Rojak.
Worth the wait!
This is a popular stall as their prawn paste sauce is really yummy. The fried fritters are crispy and the fruits are freshly prepared on the spot. The stall operator is also friendly.
I am glad that they introduce a system where you donโt have to stand and wait in line to order your food. Just take a number and wait for it to be called.

The Award winning Toa Payoh Rojak is one of dozens of stands at the Gourmet Paradise Food Court in Toa Payoh, as you exit the SMRT or bus interchange. The queues that start forming before lunch attest to the quality and popularity of this stallโs version of the classic Singapore salad. And it is delicious.
But so many other stalls in GP offer delicious traditional favourites such as Yong Tau Fu, chicken rice, dosai masala, and a variety of traditional desserts. The surroundings are clean and hygienic and trays and dishes are deposited into passing robot waiters. This is a quick, tasty and economical place to eat delicious traditional food
Long queue with high expectations~!
Long queue creatte high expectations --perhaps unfair to the vendor but this comes with the reputation --understand that the food taste better under the first generation --current generation is probably still learning

You can tell that this gentlemen put his heart and soul into making this dish when you are there waiting for your number to be call. Everything is done just right, from the amount of sugar, to the peanuts being added and how crispy the fried dough and cuttlefish are. The whole dish is mixed up very well, so they are crunchy, tasty unlike some others places.
