If you go to Ella's in Little Havana you will not leave disappointed. Oysters were very fresh and the scallops with corn sauce was out of this world. The owner greeted us and came to our table a couple times to see how we were doing. Highly recommend coming here.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and amazing service.
You have to come and try the oyster, especially the Miami-Orleans Oysters
Be the first to ReplyMy man made the best mignonette I've ever had.
The light red wine vinegar, shallots and heavy fresh cracked pepper and a wee bit of red wine..It made those briny little bastards really pop. This place is cool, get a seat at the bar so you can watch the action. In the Shoma food hall, these guys got it right.Shuck em !
Be the first to ReplyThis place was really delicious! I would definitely go back
This place was really delicious! I would definitely go back for the oysters & clams, not the calamari. They shuck them right in front of you and they're SO FRESH! Go during happy hour!!!

We have been to shoma Bazar a few times and Ella's has quickly become my favorite place to eat. This time we sat at the counter top connected to Ella's and it was a great experience the food is very fresh and delicious and the guys working there are super fun and friendly! We had a great Sunday lunch, will be back soon!! Only took one picture because we ate everything else so quickly I didn't have a chance! A few must tries are the oysters, fish dip ,octopus and tuna tataki!
Be the first to ReplyElla's is officially one of my new faves.
We've eaten here three times and it seems to get better every time. We haven't had one thing on the menu that hasn't been excellent. We usually order and sit in one of the food hall's shared spaces, however last night we sat at their bar and were served by their staff. The service was excellent. Kevin was taking care of us and made great recommendations. The kitchen staff were also awesome and interacting with customers. We had the jerk oysters, the shrimp and grits, and key lime pie for dessert. All three were amazing. Their Miami Orleans oysters are also a favorite of ours. Can't wait to come back!!
Be the first to ReplyI will start by saying I have been stalking this Shoma
I will start by saying I have been stalking this Shoma Bazaar for over a year on Instagram and was not disappointed. I have gone to the 8th street location a few years ago so was happy to see them here. We went early afternoon so it was pretty empty but it was nice to have all of the cooks attention. We were going back and forth on oysters when he recommended the Jamaican oxtail oysters. I was a little iffy as it sounds like an odd combination but can I tell you these oysters were FREAKING AMAZING! I was thinking about them the next day. So flavorful, just really unique and delicious. The conch fritters were fresh, fluffy. I am a conch fritters lover but they can go way left really quickly but not these. They melted in your mouth. I am already planning my next visit back!

Fun evening at the Shoma Bazaar in Doral where you can find a variety of foods for the whole family. We choose Ella's Oyster Bar which moved from their original location on SW 8th Street to Doral. The oyster plate we had at their Happy Hour was delicious and beyond fresh. Daily deliveries make this speciality a true delight as the favors of the sea explode in ย you with a delightful start to your meal. Highly recommend the Coconut milk cherry rice and Jamaican Jerk oxtail oyster. Our server Max was the best attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. Chef Irwin succeeded in providing great food. ย Try it yourselves and see

Be the first to Replywhat didn't we love about ella's oyster bar at shoma
what didn't we love about ella's oyster bar at shoma bazaar?!?! everything we ordered was SUPERB! our server kevin, so outgoing and attentive, everything he recommended was on point. the crab croquettes, jamaican oysters, miami/orleans oysters to start, has to be the best we've had. then their ceviche, salmon tostadas & shrimp bruschetta, WOW!!! all perfectly seasoned and cooked! and lastly, their coconut cherry rice, we were quite hesitant, but kevin vouched for it, lol and man, it was incredible!!! we loved that we were able to see all we ordered being prepared by the chef and sous chef. we will definitely return!!!

ย It's no longer Ella's Oyster Bar. ย We took a Lyft here and found out the hard way that they are closed.
Be the first to ReplyMiami style oyster bar with a big taste.
Great oysters and friendly staff. Good seafood selections and some land as well. Must get: crab croquetas, ( good crab taste and great texture perfectly fried). THE CALAMARI .... was great as well, fresh, soft but still had the calamari chewy ness to it. Also loved the shrimp bruschetta, fresh , perfect crunch on bred, soft shrimp and well seasoned. So so: the sushi I wasn't too into... didn't hit my palette as I thought it would ( so I'd probably do without ordering it ). They offer good happy hour selections!!!
Be the first to ReplyWe like to hit this place up before a Marlins baseball game.
Then we walk to the stadium. Don't miss out on the oyster shooters, yum. We sit at the seafood bar near entrance but the have intimate tables too. Nice clean place. Bathrooms nice too. Friendly staff. Street parking.
Be the first to ReplyThis is one of the best restaurants in south Florida !
This is one of the best restaurants in south Florida ! Everything is delicious here and staffs are all polite and very considerate. Our favorites here are oysters, lobster rolls, mahi mahi sandwiches, coffee brownie flan, churrasco... and more! Love their French fries (comes with most of the dishes as side). They also have good deals for happy hour menus. Sad to see they are temporarily closed now (due to covid impact ?) but really hope they can reopen near future.

I came here pre covid with my friends earlier this year and had an amazing experience. We came for happy hour and were just inhaling these oysters! They also had bomb drinks. When I come back to Miami, this is a must go!!

1. Scallops and lobster roll are great, you can see how big the fresh scallops are. 2. I got charged more at first, but the owner is very genuine and very willing to work the issue out. Appreciate his temper, and patience. Turned out to be a very pleasant experience after all.

BE WARE- the food itself is good, but just be aware that they can be deceptive. I ordered the lobster roll, but was mislead as the waitress informed me it was a standard ย size that would be filling. When it arrived, it was extremely small and they loaded up the plate with French fries to make the plate look fuller. ย When I informed her about my surprise, she apologized and said she would bring me something else and implied it would be on the house/ free. When it came time to pay, she had charged me nearly $40 and didn't address the fact that the replacement she brought me was supposed to be on the house. In fact, the receipt didn't even have a breakdown of the numbers of each item. It was a very deceptive and snarky move imo. Pro tip- nothing in Miami is ever "on the house" or free
Be the first to ReplyMan, I don't eat oysters enough.
Lucky for me, Miami is a seafood mecca, and Ella's is as good as it gets! Located on the famed Calle Ocho, my fiance and I took a seat on the outdoor patio to enjoy the sights and sounds of Little Havana. We both got happy hour mojitos (strong!) and shared a dozen happy hour oysters (St. James), lobster bisque, calamari, and the lobster roll. The oysters were fresh and nicely sized. My man doesn't like oysters generally, but happily shared these with me. I probably could've ordered another dozen just for myself, but OD'ing on oysters is definitely something that's happened to me before, so I just saved the room in my belly for other yummy things we ordered! The lobster bisque was one of the best I'd ever had. Strong lobster flavor and smooth throughout. The calamari was hot and crispy (a must, IMO), and the lobster roll was decadent. It was on the smaller side, but the quality of the lobster was on point and the hot, buttered roll it was on was ridiculously good. Kind of tasted like a medianoche cuban roll with a hint of sweetness. Definitely would return to try all their other goodies!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome little spot! Oysters were fresh and delicious.
