I don’t get the hype. This was our second time. We hated it the first time (food was so over the top salty/sour that it stripped the skin off my tongue). We went back years later to try it again. I was equally disappointed. Every dish overdid the sour/bitter elements and the mix of flavors was criminal: every dish seemed to have oddly bitter feta, heavily vinegared pickled vegetable of some kind, and something totally weird: pickled jalapeño whipped feta and quince paste (??), feta gnocchi and pork meatballs made with orange rind in an orange sauce with pickled kohlrabi (??), spinach stuffed spread topped with bitter tasting feta cream and a leek chimichurri (heavily vinegar). My husband and I left trying to figure out how these dishes made it past multiple chefs and how this restaurant still takes the top spot in Somerville. Ugh.
