Be the first to ReplyLess than stellar
Based on the prior year's less than stellar experience, we decided to try a few other pâtisseries before returning to Rosallie on our most recent vacation. My wife ordered the brioche French toast while I again ordered the quiche tartiflette. Perhaps it us, but we found each dish to pretty good though not great.

My wife and I were excited to come to this place because of the reviews, and even more so when the gentleman was speaking French who waited on us. Unfortunately, some of the pastries were just not much better than what you might get at Walmart or an American pastry shop. The coffees and the ambiance were good but we place more importance on the quality and taste of the croissants.
Be the first to ReplyAccidental gratuity?
On the first morning in town where else would we go for breakfast? My wife once again chose the brioche french toast and I the quiche chevre. Both were very good, but deemed not quite as good as remembered. Also tarnishing our experience was the cashier “accidentally” including a 20% gratuity in addition to the tip I included. This “accidental” charge was reversed as requested, but the “accident” happened again to another customer just minutes later. Unlike on past trips, this was our only visit during our 2 week stay in Las Vegas.
Be the first to Replysuper good and interesting food
Really a neat little niche cafe place that serves French cuisine. Warm and friendly people running the place and just a great ambiance. The food is delicious!!!! It's very rich of course, the portions aren't huge, and it's pretty pricey but it's definitely worth going. The pastries, again very expensive, are mouth watering. It's certainly a place to satisfy any craving for French food!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, pastries, and atmosphere but bad ventilation with cooking .
Food are great with nice presentations, atmosphere is also nice specially with outdoor seating with flower pots around. Oat milk latte was not creamy enough, need more improvement on the steaming skill or maybe different brand of oat milk. The biggest turn off was bad ventilation in the restaurant, almost like kitchen hood is not on! You can smell the cooking as soon as you walk in and make it kinda hard to breath. The oily Kitchen smell will stay on you , so don’t wear your favor clothing there, unless you ready for a wash after.
Be the first to Reply2021 and still the Best in Las Vegas
Now a part of Sin City since August of 2015, Jonathan Pluvinet’s transformation of the former 7-Eleven into ‘Le French Café’ a tale of skill and determination that has since seen him open a second location outside of Orlando, guests entering Rosallie now will find safe social distancing and PPE-use in practice, plus a bounty of old and new favorites from lead Baker and General Manager Christophe.
Still Las Vegas’ premier bakery for French Pastry, and even better when dining amidst Chef Pluvinet’s handmade furniture and décor, Saturday before Valentine’s Day found the space filled to Nevada’s current capacity while guests enjoyed a wide range of Salads, Sandwiches, Tartines and Viennoiseries.
Festively decorated, with a small pop-up of local goods near the door, it was alongside hand-blended Coffee that Brunch got started, Florida’s “French Breakfast Board” replacing the French Toast Sandwich in a more elaborate fashion while L’Americaine Tartine shined thanks to laminated Dough beneath Mozzarella Cheese, a runny Egg and Honey Cured Bacon.
Assuredly a Café in the French sense, an atmosphere conducive to conversation, work or relaxation found throughout divided spaces including a library and private room, those looking for the 702’s best Croissants need look no further than those baked by Jonathan and his family since 1983, the hiring of former Jean-Philippe employees only improving versions such as Almond and Almond Raspberry made with hand-ground Nuts instead of Frangipane.
No less show-stopping in terms of Tartes and Pies, the Valley’s only known version featuring Walnuts but one example of Pluvinet’s respect for French tradition, daily specials included decorative loaves of Brioche as well as smaller, sweet Breads featuring Nutella or Jam.
Never missing Blueberry-studded Bostock when available, Valentine’s Day seemed as good an excuse as ever to indulge in Chocolate for Breakfast, the Pain au Chocolat an old standby while Christophe’s laminated Twist with melted interior and crunchy pearls on top is a textural masterpiece.
Easily Sin City' best Bakery!!!!!!
Entering its sixth year, unquestionably Las Vegas’ top choice for French Pastry since debuting with a second location thriving in Florida, Rosallie Le French Café continues to operate with strict safety measures amidst Phase Two of Nevada’s reopening, and just like prior a #supportlocal Breakfast on Monday saw Christophe assemble a remarkable spread of items both sweet and savory.
Easily arranged through owner Jonathan Pluvinet via ‘Le French Café’s’ e-mail, a budget of $15 per guest yielding enough quality cuisine to feed twice the office’s number of staff, it was by 7:20am that all items were delivered and carefully arranged, Sandwiches still warm as were several Pastries.
Also serving Salad and a sizable Parfait, the latter a big hit with those favoring a lighter morning, it was after indulging in a heaping spoonful that Rosallie’s French Toast Breakfast Sandwich followed, the marriage of Smoked Honey-cured Bacon to Ham by Mozzarella masterful between slices of Brioche soaked in Maple Syrup.
Making short work of Jonathan’s World-class Walnut Tarte, better than ever thanks to more Nuts and less Sugar, an equally-noteworthy Almond Croissant predictably followed featuring great lamination and hand-ground Almonds that are further gussied up in Viennoiserie featuring Nutella or Raspberries.
No Bostock this time, Blackberries instead found pocketing a seasonal Tarte while Apples rest atop a fluffy Brioche round, Fruit is equally well utilized in Danishes ranging from Peach to Apricot with silky Custard supported by beautifully laminated Dough.
Happy to share two more Tartes, both Nutella and Pear juxtaposing housemade Almond Paste inside a delicate Shell, Rosallie’s Cinnamon Roll continues to take the American favorite in an entirely new direction by making it light and airy with plenty of tangy Cream Cheese Frosting piped elegantly above.
Rounding out the afternoon with crispy layers of lamination, a lengthy Twist with Confectioner’s Sugar, crunchy balls of Chocolate plus Hazelnut-Chocolate Spread, be sure not to sleep on Rosallie’s Raisin Snail that has emerged recently as one of the Café’s best items thanks to shattering edges surrounding a soft interior rife with Butter and Cinnamon.
Great Pastries and Quiche!
Very delicious pastries and quiche - visited in February 2020. Warm welcome by staff. We had a hard time deciding what to order, since the display had so many enticing options. The cafe is a long way from any tourist areas, so it's probably not worth it if you don't have a car. It will be a recurring visit for us, if the virus vaccine ever materializes! A nice and pleasant setting as well.
Be the first to ReplyCustomer safety first, and Sin City's best French Pastries to follow
Unquestionably Las Vegas' top choice for French Pastry over the past five years, Rosallie Le French Café is back operating with strict safety measures amidst Phase Two of Nevada's reopening, and just like prior a #supportlocal Breakfast on Thursday saw Christophe assemble a remarkable spread of items both sweet and savory.
Easily arranged through owner Jonathan Pluvinet via 'Le French Café's' e-mail, a budget of $15 per guest yielding enough quality cuisine to feed twice the office's number of staff, it was by 7:10am that all items were delivered and carefully arranged, Sandwiches and Tartines still warm as were several Pastries.
Also serving Salad and Charcuterie, Rosallie's Salade Fraiche an office favorite amongst those who strive to eat healthy, it was after indulging in dried Sausage, Paris Ham, and creamy Brie that Tartine L'Espagnole was split and traded for half of a French Toast Breakfast Sandwich loaded with Meat plus Cheese and dripping with Syrup.
Making short work of Jonathan's World class Walnut Tarte, first the half served as part of the Country Plate and another whole one several hours later, there was no delay in devouring an Almond Croissant still-oven-fresh and better than most in Europe, while versions enhanced by Nutella and Raspberries are also delicious.
No Bostock this time, Blueberries instead found dotting an all-new Muffin that is also offered sporting Cinnamon Apples, Fruit is equally well utilized in Danishes ranging from Peach and Apricot to a truly mesmerizing version that eats akin to Cheesecake topped in Cherry Compote and Almonds.
Happy to share two more Tartes, both Nutella and Pear juxtaposing housemade Almond Paste inside a delicate Shell, Rosallie's Cinnamon Roll continues to take the American favorite in an entirely new direction by making it light and airy via laminated Dough while two varieties of Madeline seem more worthy of Proust's adoration with each visit.
Rounding out the afternoon with crispy layers of lamination, a lengthy Twist with Confectioner's Sugar joining Butter or Cinnamon Palmiers, be sure not to sleep on Rosallie's Raisin Snail that has emerged recently as one of the Café's best items thanks to shattering edges surrounding a soft interior rife with Butter
*****From the day Jonathan Pluvinet opened Rosallie on South Rainbow the need to visit Las Vegas Blvd for great French Pastry vanished, and although competition has sprouted up none are in the same class as what he and former Jean-Philippe maestro Christophe are baking daily.
Oh, how we love our Rosallie
We visited this French cafe twice on our recent vacation. Our first visit coincided with my wife's birthday. I went with my usual quiche tartiflette (tartiflette cheese, hardwood bacon, red potatoes, sauteed onions) that were accompanied by a small salad. The birthday girl celebrated by ordering the recently introduced brioche French toast with housemade strawberry preserves. Mine was very good though a bit heartier than usual due to the volume of potatoes, hers was certified gastronomic delight rising to "best ever" status. She could not and did not depart without complimenting the chef.
When plans for brunch at a nearby bakery fizzled out 4 days later, we returned for version 2.0. What to order was not a problem for my wife who again ordered the brioche French toast with strawberry preserves. I decided on quiche Lorraine with side salad that achieved "best ever" status. Oh, how we love our Rosallie.
Serving Las Vegas' best Pastry since 2015
Although many love to tout the "cool" Chefs doing more daring food from DTLV to the 'burbs, there is perhaps no place that shows how far Off Strip dining has come than Rosallie, Jonathan Pluvinet's re-built 7-Eleven on South Rainbow continuing to outpace every other similar concept and single-handedly redefining French Bakeries in the Valley since August of 2015.
Truly a tale of skill and determination, ‘Le French Café’ since expanding to Florida, it was early Saturday morning that General Manager Christophe was found overseeing the Restaurant on its fourth anniversary, no special celebration but business as usual from a space more welcoming now than ever with a menu that continues to grow.
Located at 6090 South Rainbow Boulevard, letters on the façade beginning to peel from Southern Nevada’s perpetual sun, it was almost entirely of old favorites that Breakfast was comprised, the lone novelty a Chocolate Chip Cookie with crisp rim and chewy center given a boost by crunchy Chocolate Pearls.
Still doing steady business during Sin City’s slow season, several regulars making their way through and greeted by name, it was with house-blended Coffee and eight Pastries that Breakfast got started, Jonathan’s Palmier shattering with Sugar and awash with Butter while an Apple Croustade and Apricot Danish each feature a lot of Fresh Fruit amidst flaky, laminated layers.
Offering a small library and private room with hand built furniture, both welcoming guests to sit and stay a while, it was after cracking the Crust of an individually sized Tart that similar flavors were found amidst a peerless Croissant, Rosallie’s best item with or without Raspberries arguably without equal stateside while Bostock labeled as “Blueberry Brioche” sees Christophe’s time at Jean-Philippe shine through using the same Loaf he created for Jean Georges Steakhouse.
Not about to leave without more Brioche, three golden slices baked and topped with Nutella plus pure Maple Syrup, those seeking something savory should not forgo the Croque Rosallie featuring one of those faultless Croissants topped with imported Ham, Housemade Bechamel and Mozzarella Cheese.
FIVE STARS: Always a case of the best getting better, this visit to the corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Patrick Lane finding Le French Café still pushing as it enters year five, Rosallie remains a cozy respite with the sort of environment, service and Cuissine one simply doesn't find many places these days.
A world-class Patisserie right here in Las Vegas
Always one of the first stops upon return from overseas, nearly 3,000km of Germany doing nothing to disprove personal beliefs that Las Vegas is home to a world-class Bakery, it was on Sunday that Rosallie was found full-to-capacity with Christophe and staff putting on a fine showing in terms of both service and Cuisine.
Now a part of Sin City since August of 2015, Jonathan Pluvinet’s transformation of the former 7-Eleven into ‘Le French Café’ a tale of skill and determination that has since seen him open a second location outside of Orlando, guests entering 6090 South Rainbow Boulevard will find the space more welcoming now than ever with a menu that continues to expand.
Open daily from 7:00am until 6:00pm, everything from Quiche and Croissants to Wine and Cheese available throughout the day, it is from a counter lined in Viennoiserie that orders are placed, table service soon to follow with most opting to begin with house-blended Coffee Beans in the form of Cappuccino, French Press or Latte.
Assuredly a Café in the French sense, an atmosphere conducive to conversation, work or relaxation found throughout divided spaces including a library and private room, those looking for a good place to start need look no further than Pastries created by Jonathan and his family since 1983 in France, the hiring of former Jean-Philippe baker Christophe as Rosallie’s General Manager only improving items such as an Almond Croissant made with hand-ground Nuts instead of Frangipane.
No less show-stopping in terms of Tartes and Pies, the Valley’s only known version featuring Walnuts but one example of Pluvinet’s respect for French tradition, savory options also fit the bill ranging from Sandwiches and Salads to several types of Quiche served atop all-Butter Crust and filled with ingredients such as Bacon, Potatoes and melted Tartiflette Cheese.
Treated to Green Onion Brioche that eats like portable French Onion Soup on this recent visit, daily specials not uncommon but sometimes difficult to choose over something so enjoyable as “L’Americaine Tartine” with laminated Dough beneath Honey Cured Bacon, Mozzarella Cheese and a runny Egg, first-timers or those who have not visited in a while should also be sure to check out Rosallie’s Brioche, whether served as French Toast with a choice of toppings or as the base to Blueberry-studded Bostock.
FIVE STARS: Truly a case of the best only getting better, this visit to the corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Patrick Lane finding Le Café busier than ever, Jonathan and Christophe continue to add more reasons to visit in terms of atmosphere, Food, Beverage and customer service.
Quiche
There is quiche and then there is quiche at Rosallie, no one should ever confuse the two. On our last visit my wife ordered the quiche chevre while I went my traditional quiche tartiflette, each served with a small salad. Hers was excellent, mine even better.
