ROK Hotel Kingston, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Reviews from The Last Year

I lost my glasses so couldn't see well. It was difficult to see well. The front staff, not all acted like I was bugging them. The room was nice but the cabinet holding the fridge is too small. A lot of action out front in the parking lot. It is a nice building.
10/ 10 for Palate Restaurant
My friends and I had Sunday Brunch at Palate Restaurant and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The restaurant staff were professional and engaging. Big up to Richard!!! The food was so so good and the variety unmatched. The chef that prepared the food and presented it to us was amazing too… such a nice touch. The ambiance was stunning as the restaurant overlooks the Caribbean sea. Overall I highly recommend Palate for a large group. We will definitely be going back.
DON'T WANT 2 LEAVE!
Sean and Oshin were awesome to me and very patient. I feel like crying leaving because I feel already at home! Thank you ROK and Jamaica for inviting me.
Work Trip
Ricardo has been a good waitress (Bartender) 100% good effort to give us our request. Has been really communicative always serving with a smile, will recommend his services to anybody to comes to ROK Hotel. Appreciate the time spent in the bar every night
Great food
Garvin was excellent I felt as if I was dinning at home love love loved the experience 10/10. I would definitely come back!
Will be coming back a third time
I am a repeat customer at this establishment. It never fails to impress. From check-in all the way through check out it has been amazing. The employees that made my stay exceptional were Oshin at the front desk,Christina in housekeeping and Wuzardo. As they went above and beyond and assisted at every opportunity. Highly recommend the hotel.
Ok-ish
We spent 2 nights here before going to Ocho Rios. My observations: Only one lift operational and unable to use the stairs to get to the 3rd floor..you could only go down if you wished. Comfortable beds & pillows Breakfast buffet at 21 USD per person was disappointing: no fresh vegetables such as tomatoes and cucumbers, lettuce etc. No pancakes/waffles for kids Fresh melons available but not replenished frequently enough The water had strange smell and taste to it but the coffee was good. Nice area around the pool but the water was murky and uninviting… kids didn’t seem to mind it though. Would be great if there were more umbrellas available. Nice ice coffee available from the ground floor cafe.

I chose this hotel after both of my preferred hotels in New Kingston were fully booked. I didn’t know what to expect as I had been to this area previously but I don’t believe this hotel was there. I’d seen a number of reviews on YouTube but wasn’t impressed by the black bathroom fittings. I booked regardless as it’s just a bathroom. My cousin collected me from the airport and it was a short journey (about 15-20 minutes) to the hotel. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and surprisingly given an upgrade. I was shocked and resisted the urge to hug the receptionist. I had booked a king room (the Queen rooms were sold out) and got upgraded to a king bedroom suite with ocean view on the 8th floor Room 816. As soon as i opened the door I was hit by imposter syndrome and felt that I didn’t deserve such a lovely room. To the left of the room is a small kitchenette area with a coffee machine (which you can use like a kettle for just hot water), there is a mini fridge with 2 complementary bottles of water which are replenished daily. There is a small dining table and a living area with a sofa and large flat screen tv. There isn’t a microwave but you can use one on the ground floor. The separate bedroom was to the left with an en-suite bathroom. I couldn’t see the ocean view until the following morning as I arrived around 8pm. The view next morning was stunning and I spent around 10 minutes just staring at it because I’m from grey dreary London. With regards to the black bathroom, it really wasn’t as bad as I expected and it works quite well. The bathroom was spotless and the usual amenities were provided so you do not need to bring shower gel and body lotion. The suite came with a digital safe which was raised a little high up and also an iron & board. I had a little issue with the AC being too cold for me but the maintenance man sorted it within 60 seconds. The hotel has a nice gym which I used twice. Water and towels are provided. I didn’t pay for breakfast in my rate but decided to try it on my first morning. I didn’t find the options as varied as I would have like but that’s entirely down to my picky preferences. I ended up paying about 25US? for a bowl of chopped fruit and some ripe plantain. I think if you eat normally you will find lots to eat. I ordered the fish cakes/balls one evening and they were delicious. I also tried the tuna wrap on my first evening from the ground floor cafe which was nice. There are so many places within walking distance that you can buy food from. There is a building nearby ( I think it’s called the digicel building) which has a small food court including an Island Grill and a cafe. There is also a street vendor selling fruits about 5 minutes away (he’ll chop it up for you) where I bought my breakfast from. It cost around 600JA$. The hotel is near Coronation market where you can buy most things and you are also near the Kingston cultural centre which you can see the impressive street art/murals. I used local taxis during my stay (Gadge taxi Pro Kingston) who are really well priced and efficient. They operate via what’s app so you don’t have to use your data. This is a lovely hotel which I highly recommend. The high level of customer service is apparent in this hotel from the receptionists to the room attendants. I will be back, upgrade or no upgrade.
A true gem of a hotel.
Wow!!!! Wow!!! From my arrival to the entire weekend, the service was impeccable. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well run. The food is AMAZING and delicious. There was never a bad experience. Breakfast is truly Jamaican and had a twist of all American. I was in Kingston to say goodbye to my mother after her passing. The team truly made me feel special and cared for. Ordane at the Bar was truly supportive and caring. He listened to my woes and empathized. Sean at the Front desk was a Rock Star at check in and during my stay. He was very anticipative. Michelle at the Bar was my HERO. Morgan, the Hostess was very friendly, hospitable and just a pleasure to speak with. She is very knowledgeable of the hotel and the offerings. Sadreika at breakfast was so sweet and caring. She took care of me and made me feel special. A special thanks to the welcome attendant/door man for helping me find a place for some true Jamaican patties. Yum!!! I sincerely appreciate you and what you did for me. In closing, this is a true gem of a hotel with truly hospitable staff. Well done ROK leadership…..you are doing a great job leading this team.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
