An unforgettable corner of Positano
We had dinner for two evenings as we enjoyed both the welcome and the quality of the dishes offered. Beautiful location in the surrounded garden from lemons, pleasant atmosphere, dishes presented very well and also for the wines, well-stocked cellar presented by Nicola with a lot of professionalism and passion. You can perceive a serene atmosphere between Mary who welcomes customers impeccably and the waiters, among whom I remember Sebastiano who looked after us with great attention and professionalism.

We had lunch at this restaurant in the center of Positano, which describes itself as gourmet. The place is very beautiful, in a lush garden there are gazobos that protect well-furnished and elegant tables. The staff is perfect and kind. We opted for a tuna tartare which is served with a reduction of raspberries, blackberries and red fruits. The raspberry reduction overpowers everything, too strong so much so that you can't taste the fish. A Luciana-style octopus, served in a choreographic pot where 2 octopus tentacles, sauce and 3 croutons are placed. The octopus is a little chewy, I expected the sauce to be a little spicy. Then something off the menu, a seafood risotto. The dish is served in a bowl, a solution that is perhaps confusing because the rice is not creamed well and it would be visible on a flat plate. The rice is loose, all just lemon, so much so that you can't taste the fish at all, which is incredible for a seafood risotto. A terrible dish that I wouldn't make again. A good spaghetti with clams. Desserts: I would like to start by saying that in my opinion there are desserts that are iconic of a place, they describe it, represent it. If you take a Lemon Delight it must be a traditional lemon delight, not a reinterpretation. As well as if you take a babà. We get a good dessert but it's not a lemon delight, and a babà that isn't a babà, given that it's square (?) and accompanied with fruit mousses that have nothing to do with it. With just water, a coffee, a coke, total €263 for three. Given that I never make a question of price, the prices are known and on the menu, but of quality and here the value for money is not really good. If you set yourself up as a gourmet restaurant there are dishes, which should be from the local culinary tradition, which must be done well. The octopus and the risotto, as well as the desserts, were not up to par. Rejected

Great service! They are on top of your every need. Constantly refilling water or wine. Made sure our bags didn’t touch the ground, so they hung them from table. I think we could have chosen anything on the menu and it would have been great. I ordered a Tuna tataki and for main a grilled squid. Both 10/10 stars. They had two guys playing guitar and mandolina and created a very lively environment. So the place wasn’t stuffy. We arrived with no reservations just at the right time. We would definitely go back.

Sebastian served us the sea bass and it was flawless! The whole dinner was great and we were able to walk in after a mix up with reservations somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplyBland food, no atmoaphere, great staff, very high prices.
The staff was great. The prices were known ahead if time, but with them, I expected giid food. The dining area is in a tent with no view for such an expensive place. The included bread was the best part of the meal. To risotto had no flavor, the lobster linguine special had almost no lobster. It was to worst meal of our Italy trip, but was also the most expensive. The Michelin star must have been awarded to a different chef, as the food was less flavorful than any in the area.
Be the first to ReplyCulinary quality not at the price level
Very average, taste-wise, overall, from start to finish, for everyone. Correct service for this price level but rather tasteless culinary service not at all up to the prices.

Our favorite dining experience of our entire trip! Everything was perfect, from the food to the service and the ambience. Wine pairings were just right as well. For an experience like this in the states, the value was incredible - so much so that we ate here twice! I highly recommend Ristorante Al Palazzo when visiting the Amalfi coast.
Be the first to ReplyAt the Palace…. a journey into taste!!!
If you are looking for a gastronomic experience that is not the usual "tourist" proposal, then you are in the right place. The menu is simply a delight for the palate and a culinary masterpiece that satisfies the most demanding tastes. Warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff.

We went by the beautiful Palazzo Murat in the morning and took a last minute dinner reservation on a free night. We’d been to a few well loved places, but Al Palazzo was maybe our best meal. The first thing you notice is the beautiful lounge and veggie gardens. The service was extremely poignant, and very patient with our little kids. The cocktails were solid. We had the eggplant lasagna, the kids had their cacio e pepe and I had the local fish, ended with multiple desserts, all very delicious and remarkable. This is one place we’ll surely do a repeat of.

No Michelin star, but maybe should/could have one. Didn't realize how nice a place this was from the website, a very nice surprise. The offered a nice amuse followed but what I have to describe as a bread course, with six different kinds of bread. Wife loved the rack of lamb, and the grilled veggies antipasti. I had ravioli with roast piglet and Dorado with olives and tomatoes. All excellent. Apple tart tatin was tasty as well. very nice place, in a lovely courtyard, great staff, great service. Don’t save this till your last night cause you might want to do it twice.

We stayed at Palazzo Murat and had dinner one night here. Marco was our excellent server. We had the steak for 2 with lots of delicious sides and a very nice bottle of wine (recommended by Marco).
Be the first to ReplyImpeccable service matched with delicious food
Our party of 8 which had travelled from Australia to celebrate a 60th wedding anniversary could not have wanted for anything more. Commencing with celebratory drinks in the adjoining Le Petit Murat, Francesco and his colleagues attended our every need with attentive service and delicious canapés. At dinner in Al Palazzo, the attention (especially to the happy couple who are in their mid-80s) by Marco and his team was masterful and flawless. Together, they struck the perfect balance of polished, professional service and relaxed, good humour. The quality of food was superb. Without doubt, it was the finest meal during our week in Positano and has set a very high benchmark for other venues to meet in our remaining 4 weeks in Italy. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and valuable memory for us all.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect place for dinner in Positano!
A perfect place to have our last dinner in Positano! While there weren’t coastal views, the vibe of the restaurant was still pretty nice and gave a different feel altogether (in a calm and relaxing way). We weren’t having any luck getting reservations online, but we’re able to get a table through our hotel’s front desk. The service throughout was great as we were regularly tended to. The suggestions by the waiter were also spot on. Our Eggplant Parmigiana starter was delicious, with the crunchy topper adding a perfect mix of texture. The two pastas we shared were great and very flavorful. The lobster dish would’ve been large enough on its own as it was more then generous plate. I also really appreciate the restaurant providing us a complimentary dessert for our celebratory occasion as well. All three types of chocolate were very decadent and rich, but equally tasty. Definitely a great option for a nice dinner in the area and one that I would love to repeat.

This was our favourite meal of the trip. Al Palazzo is an oasis of calm in the centre of Positano. We had wonderful aperitivos at the adjoining bar first, which is located in a stunning courtyard. The restaurant is large but the space between the tables meant that there was still an intimate feel. The service and the atmosphere was excellent. The food was just exquisite with a good variety of dishes to choose from. Highly recommended.

What a special experience matched only by amazing food, service and ambience. My 3 girls were treated like princesses and they even ate ALL their food (a first on our Italian trip). The steak and lamb chops were delicious and the desserts were mouth watering. Marco and Sebastiano took care of us all night with impeccable service and wonderful dialogue. We will definitely be back!!!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful atmosphere and delicious food and spectacular wine list!
Their cacio e pepe pasta is fantastic. So were the lamb chops and the antipasti fresh garden salad with burratta. Overwhelming wine list but our waiter, Sebastiano, was kind and helpful and generous. Beautiful evening!

Sensational. Without question the premier meal of our two weeks in Positano. A warm, friendly and attentive staff paired with incredible food - there is truly nothing I would change. The venue and overall ambience was above reproach. Bravo to the staff for your hard work, few teams achieve that level of service and you have much to be proud of. Bravo.

We ate here for dinner at the recommendation of our hotel and really enjoyed the meal! The ambiance is beautiful and it feels like you're tucked away in a private location even though the restaurant is off of a very busy walkway. We were also able to hear the live music coming from the restaurant's lounge next door, which was nice as the musicians were great! Our service was great, with attentive waiters and other staff who were on top of things like water and wine and were happy to give recommendations and work around dietary restrictions. Our meals were tasty and beautiful, and we both left feeling satisfied with our choices. Overall, we would definitely return!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful outdoor seating with great food
Within a wonderful garden setting with large trees and plants everywhere, you can enjoy a beautiful dinner while it is warm enough (although heaters are also available). Very friendly staff serves great food (especially the daily fish specials are really great) and is very helpful in making recommendations for food and wine ... often also not on the menu (since some of the menu items might not be to everybody's taste). It is a little more pricey than most places in town, but well worth it.

One of our favorite meals while staying in Positano! Make sure you get the catch of the day, so fresh and delicious!

Delicious Italian Cuisine and right at our hotel! A very intimate spot for a dinner. My wife Julia and I shared a crab pasta dish that was delicious. The service was very professional and very personal/friendly at the same time! Highly recommend!

Ate dinner here and absolutely loved every part of our meal. The wine selection (went for Greco Di Tufo,) risotto alle cozze, melanzane parmigiana, paccheri con porcini funghi, pesce de giorno, the complementary dessert. Excellent service. It was perfect loved this place so much. Highly recommend and hope to come back again.

Best meal we had in all of the amalfi coast. Went to all of the restaurants that were ranked high on trip advisor and what not - some of them were underwhelming. Palazzo Murat was EXCELLENT cuisine. Not to mention the restaurant and hotel grounds are a beautiful oasis.
