Came by for dinner the other night and it was a comfortable
Came by for dinner the other night and it was a comfortable and tasty experience, with an all-in-one show with a table at the chef's counter.Made a reservation a couple months in advance and my counter seat was ready upon arrival. Revolver is newly added to the Michelin guide. Front of the house staff wore masks covering their nose and some of the kitchen staff wore chin guards or took off their mask to explain the dish that they just cooked...The ambiance of the restaurant is dark and upscale. There appears to be street parking available too!Did the Experience menu and started off with the Hokkaido scallop which paired nicely with the coriander jus.The Japanese aubergine was tasty and flavorful. The fresh paneer that many were raving about was tasty. Apparently, their paneer is flown in from Delhi. The halibut was cooked with a perfectly crispy skin, the halibut was cooked to more of a medium well though...The Australian lobster was excellent. The tail was removed and cooked perfectly. The Australian kashmir lamb rib was also excellent. Perfectly grilled on the grill and super juicy and tender on the inside. The cheddar kulchette was tasty. It's more like a naan stuffed with cheese and topped with chicken.Meal ended off with the warm carrot pudding and pistachio gelato.~$245/head after 10% service and 7% GST

many times in life it's not about what you know but who you know!and thanks to who I know, I managed to get to dine at this latest hot table.wasn't too impressed with front of the house service.the whole chain gang of second seating just hanging around outside well past our reservations timing. once inside, the interior decor was cosy and conducive enough with attentive, chatty, friendly staff. love the open kitchen, fire and smoke, seductively so. and unlike burnt ends, there's no restrictions on photography of their fireplace at all. the food has a clear indian cutting edge to it. the spices and produce mingles and lingers, sealed by the searing heat, tantalising. generous pouring and tasting from the sommelier, makes you want to order even more! but alas, the 10.30pm covid-19 drinks curfew means you better chug it or lose it. do come experience the master of smoke and fire, which to me felt like a marriage of what thevar and burnt ends offers.
