A wonderful way to spend an evening
Great food, beautifully presented: every course was a work of art. The restaurant is small and cosy, and nicely decorated. Marcos was very welcoming and more than happy to help us choose from the amazing wine list. We hope to return soon!

Perfect balance in great service and experience. Maybe even deserves a 3rd star. Very intimate with 4 tables only. Our waiter was knowledgeable, humble and detailed which makes all the difference. My wife and me loved the ah entire 4 hour experience. The food was refined with seasonal ingredients but so refined you go home happy and satisfied.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my best meals ever! Stunning
Wowsers! This is how you showcase a culinary experience! Yes with two stars you expect a lot, but the quality of the cooking was perfect, stunning in fact, and what I loved most is how they sourced local and in season ingredients throughout. Lobster, local shrimps, mushroom with egg, lamb, sea bass,m and piglet all made me experience a journey around Spain, with tantalising flavours to boast. A deciding selection of balance, where the chefs clearly understand who to flirt with you taste buds, and give your pallet a complete workout. It’s so hard to pitch this place, as it was perfect in every way, but given they only have 16 seat means you always felt special throughout. Worth noting that it was probably the best wine pairing I have ever gastronomically married. Simply Devine. Pricy, but flabbergastingly exceptional
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful dining experience.
Wowser ! A wonderful dining experience. Elegant and intimate restaurant. Front of house staff were engaging and professional tho there is also a relaxed informality coming through. The taster menu with wine pairings was a delight. Very talented chef and team who create some wonderful dishes. All extremely well presented. Top end pricing as you would expect, reflecting the quality of this dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyTruly Wonderful Dining Experience....
Everything was spectacular, every single course was an experience. Service is impeccable, what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant This place also has a very high standard of service and attention to detail, guests are made to feel very special. We had a wonderful evening and it must be acknowledged that, even though the food has the starring role, its the service that makes the whole experience and this was a truly wonderful experience!!!! Definitely on our to list return visit.

Always made to feel comfortable , relaxed and excellent food and wine pairing perfect . We went for the seasonal option with wine pairing . Local ingredients and the sea bass was out of this world . We will return . Excellent as always .
Be the first to ReplySensational Skina!
Well, where to start with Skins! from the gorgeous back street setting, sumptuous bathroom to the waiters matching trainers the attention to detail is second to none....and we've not even started on the food yet! It was everything you'd expect from a two star Michelin experience...and a little bit more. We opted for the seasonal tasting menu with wine pairing. Each and every dish was beautifully created, perfectly balanced and expertly served with a couple of little extra surprises thrown in. The wines were just wonderful and introduced us to some flavours and types we had never had before. Amazing experience.

Enjoyed an excellent dinner in this venue that exists sins 2003, a very well-trained staff, and waiters, very professional, to highlight the amazed possibilities that a large team of professional can achieve for such a small venue. Dedicated, well studied local dishes, tasteful in decoration and texture, Top mixture of different products that achieves an explosion of taste in paladar. Well deserved Michelin rating
Be the first to ReplyFaultless meal, delicious food and wine, great service & vegetarian options
We booked well in advance (this is a tiny restaurant so recommend you book) online which was easy and informed them that one of us is vegetarian. From the second we arrived to leaving everything was perfect. We had the tasting menu and wine pairing which was wonderful. The vegetarian options were incredible and did not feel like an after thought which is sometimes the case. The dishes were inventive and used local produce. They explained each dish and paired the wines perfectly. We left feeling very full (lots of dishes) especially after the desserts and amazing chocolates at the end. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner thats special. Really good value for money compared to the similar standard in London. Lovely staff too.

Deserving of it’s reputation - amazing creativity, delicious food, attention to detail and well paired wine. Service impeccable.
Be the first to ReplyMidweek lunch with Coeliac
Marcos Granda and his amazing chef Mario Cachinero excelled yet again with an amazing tasting menu each course outdoing the previous one. We have been eating in Skina since it’s inception in 2004. We have never had anything but outstanding food there. This was our first time back since 2019 because of COVID 19 and since they were awarded a second Michelin star and we were more impressed than ever. My husband is Coeliac and was catered for in every course without any fuss. Marcos has 4 Michelin star restaurants in Spain his attention to detail is nothing less than perfection. If you are looking for a very special meal this is the place to go you will never be disappointed
Be the first to ReplyFine dining at its finest - food as high art
Skina exists in a very rarefied world - of $300 / person lunches that feature the finest and rarest ingredients meticulously prepared and beautifully and creatively presented. If you don't know about this world of Michelin two and three star restaurants, you may need to do a little bit of information gathering in advance of a visit. My wife and I don't eat at these places very often -- in fact, this is only our second meal at a European haute cuisine restaurant. There are only 4 tables at Skina - located in a beautiful (but small) room in Marbella's old quarter. We had the seasonal tasting menu, which comprised about 8 courses, when you add in the amuses-bouches and the consomme. If you are new to this level of fine dining, I would not recommend eating a la carte - which is a bit less expensive but may result in some of the reviews from people who were not happy about the size of the meal. I would also recommend the wine pairings because the wines were fantastic, and we were able to try a different wine with each course. You can get one order with wine and one without and shere. Even so, plan to take an hour or two after your meal before driving! So much more to say, although I expect much of it has been said before, so I'll provide one more tip: think of this meal as your main activity for the day - for lunch or dinner. We were three hours at lunch! If that seems crazy to you, then you may be disappointed. But that's the pace and gestalt of a restaurant of this calibre.
Be the first to ReplyBreathtaking - the whole experience
Breathtaking - the whole experience is exceptional. The food is a work of art, the presentation is a feast for the eye, taste sublime, food combinations mind boggling!! We had seasonal menu with wine pairings. Service was excellent, great insights on wines. Lovely calm setting, small & cosy. So deserving of 2 M stars. Wonderful experience.
Be the first to ReplyPushing the Boundaries.
We’re fortunate to be able to eat in some amazing restaurants across the world. We do however have two favourites, Moor Hall in the UK and Skina in Spain. Both have 2 Michelin stars and create amazing food in wonderful environments.
We’ve been coming to Skina for over 5 years now and the reality is that it just gets better and better. Their Chef Mario Cachinero is only 25 years old and together with Marcos Granda, the owner of Skina, they keep on pushing the boundaries.
We arrived for our dinner recently to find that the restaurant had been completely refurbished (not that it needed this). The atmosphere is calm, intimate and welcoming with only 5 tables inside (more outside in summer) and a desire on their part to serve no more than 10 -16 people each evening. As you might imagine the service is sharp, the pacing of the meal just right and the attention to detail everything it should be in a 2 star establishment. Marcos, despite owning a number of restaurants, runs front of house at Skina, assisted by Jesus, who together make the perfect team.
We opted for the set, multiple course menu which was had been completely changed since our last visit. Every course was a delight but worthy of note were the white asparagus, the pea dish, prawns and the duck - all tasted as good as they looked - see our photos.
We will keep on coming back to Skina every time we’re in Spain (at that’s often) simply because it’s hard to find food as beautifully crafted and presented as it is here.
Little gem - loved it
Exquisite tastes and flavour served in a little restaurant by unpretentious though passionate waiters. Absolutely worth the **
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced, overrated, and terribly stingy…
Extremely overpriced and hugely overrated.
I have been fortunate enough to eat in Michelin starred restaurants around the world, and I have to say this falls way short of the mark.
Set in a cheap corner in the old town, nothing about the setting, nor the service would warrant the pricing.
The food is nice….not amazing, nice. The portions are literally microscopic, and the three course set menu (no other choice) should be half the price and twice the size. I have never been served such a small and pathetic glass of wine neither.
This restaurant has a sever case of an inflated ego, when actually everything about was just plain stingy…..
Sensational Skina
What a superb, small astonishing oasis of calm and top quality food in the madness of busy central Marbella.
Jesus and his quiet and efficient team gave us the most memorable of meals in the 30 years of coming to Spain. Admittedly it was a budget buster but worth every single Euro.
Stunning food, stunning and charming service( pity they still have to wear masks) and we left very full and very happy. The seasonal tasting menu I recommend and if you are interested in wine do the wine pairing as Jesus kindly and patiently takes you through some good and interesting wines you will not of had before.
Its a treat to come here BUT you must try it if you can.
