Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had!
Just recently discovered the owner of Pink Peppercorn used to be a chef at the Cannery so we didn't hesitate to book a family dinner here and boy are we glad we did! It was great fun seeing some of the old decor from the Cannery altho the room felt a bit cramped which didn't deter an almost full house on a week night. Food was fantastic with healthy portions and there were no extra charges if you requested a bit more sauce which adds to the feeling that owner Eddy wants his guests to be happy no matter what. I had the special crab salad starter followed by sauteed scallops & prawns that I still dream about to this day. Others raved about the fresh oysters, boulliabaisse and halibut special. The only area that didn't overwhelm us were the desserts but this was minor compared to the main courses and service provided. We will definitely be back!

We had not been to the PP for several years but wanted to stretch our usual pattern so celebrated 2 birthdays there last week. As noted by others, it is in a nondescript part of town at Knight and Kingsway and certainly has none of the ambience of the old Cannery location. This was made up for however by the enthusiastic staff, specifically the sole waiter who managed the entire front of house while being good natured and making sure things kept moving along. The seafood menu is extensive and the portions are large; some would say a bit over the top but certainly value for price. All the fish tried (tuna, smoked black cod, halibut, salmon Wellington) was perfectly done and sides were fresh and delicious. Starters (one Caesar salad and2 calamari) were each enough for 2 to share. We had no room for dessert but because it was a birthday occasion, the waiter brought 2 creme brulees on the house which was a nice touch. The owner/chef also dropped by to say hello and thanked us for coming. Overall, this is a really good place for a solid meal, well prepared with enthusiastic staff and reasonble prices. We won't delay our next visit for so long.

It is been a while since my last visit , this restaurant been in business for long time in Vancouver , I still remember the old location by the waterfront know as " Cannery " now restaurant is located on Kingsway , not a great area little scuzzy , and not a luxury upscale place , but casual comfortable atmosphere , it do get very noisy when the restaurant packed , menu lot to choose from Chops to seafood , I never get tired of this restaurant and got invited from my friend's special 70 Birthday last night , their Salmon Wellington is well like from locals , a classic dishes , all those years , I all way order the Lamb (MR ) with mashed , very tender juicy and flavourful and my friend , they both order the Salmon Wellington , because our server strongly recommended , they both very happy to tried it out , not greasy or dry , very high caliber cooking over all ! good quality in food and service price reasonable for seafood restaurant , truly recommended this place for sure you will not disappoint !

Discovered this gem while searching for quality seafood. What a great surprise to find many people that previously worked at the amazing Cannery that the Vancouver port shut down, carrying on their greatness here. We enjoyed a very tasty, properly prepared meal. Perfectly cooked seafood and veggies. Service was excellent with Paul and Azim taking great care of us. They are true professionals, a rare find in this industry. The location, similar to the Cannery is maybe a bit of a surprise. Was to us. But we not only greatly recommend, we will be back again. Well done!

My first time going to the Pink Peppercorn was an amazing experience. Everything was incredible. The host was friendly and attentive. The server was exceptional and funny. The chef is a legend. Creating dishes that look as good as they taste. They exceeded all expectations and made for a wonderful evening! If you want delicious seafood in a great restaurant, this is the place to go.

Admittedly, I always get the same entree. Try as I might, I just love the salmon wellington too much to try something else. My loss though, because everything is amazing. The scallop salad was so good I wiped the plate clean. I used my finger because the wife said I couldn't lick the plate. She loves the filet, and her panko crusted goat cheese salad was fantastic. I despise carrots, but I always eat the one that comes with my dinner. Simply put, a fantastic restaurant that never disappoints . Worth the drive from Langley anytime.

OMG! I have been trying to find the chef from the Cannery restaurant & find it! They had opened the pink peppercorn seafood house… it is through Facebook food pages that I found out about this restaurant, I have been back a few times & the food is awesome, fresh & the quality has been consistent. Service is immaculate, attentive & the waiters have their own character to make it a better experience. The decor is electric, I am sure they brought over some of the decor from the Cannery, it reminds me of it in a smaller scale restaurant. If you have been to the Cannery, they still have the famous lobster oil with the balsamic vinegar that you can dip the bread in. If those haven’t had their lobster oil, they baked the lobster with herbs the crushed it up, soaked it in olive oil. I missed their lobster bisque, the best that I have tasted… still the best! The bisque was out of this world as usual. Their fish is so fresh & they do an awesome job… very generous portion, they are not skimpy in their veggies, you practically get a whole head of broccoli with your meal. Everything is so good. They don’t need to advertise, the word of mouth about their food is spreading like wild fire. I am going to let the photos speaks for themselves. Covid protocol- good, parking is on the street. Use google map, it is on a unpretentious area. Good ambiance in the restaurant with excellent food and service.

My dad and I went here after searching for a seafood restaurant online. We had no idea what to expect. It's a quaint little place with a nautical theme and the food is absolutely wonderful! I had salmon wellington which was amazing and dad had halibut. He said he had the best carrots he'd ever tasted. I started with a Caesar salad that was one of the best I've ever had. There was ample quantity and the food was full of flavour. For dessert I had chocolate cake and Dad had crème brûlée which was OK. His tasted homemade but mine tasted like a commercial cake that wasn't fresh. So I think that dessert needs a bit of improvement. The menu is pricey but overall we had a great meal and highly recommend going here.
Be the first to ReplyBEST MEAL OF OUR ENTIRE LIVES!
Tonight the Mrs and I ventured out to the Pink Peppercorn. It was on our list of restaurants to try while visiting Vancouver. Let me tell you something…IT WAS THE BEST MEAL WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN OUT ENTIRE LIVES! We started things off with a Quails Gate Merlot. Split a Caesar salad that needed nothing! It was perfect! We then enjoyed fresh mussels…HUGE! Never had such scrumptious mussels in a delectable wine/cream sauce. The Mrs had the Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna with a pepper risotto and a lemon butter sauce. The tuna was perfectly done and melted in your mouth. I had what was the most delicious meal in my entire life! Hands Down! The Salmon Wellington. Fresh generous salmon fillet with fresh baby shrimp and a mushroom duxelle with a Pinot Noir sauce. We shared half a plate each with each other and unanimously agreed it was the best meal ever! We have lived and eaten all over the world and this was definitely at the top! Arturo and John made sure our wine glasses were filled and were perfectly on point. If you are even looking at Trip Advisors Top 10…scroll straight to Pink Peppercorn and make a reservation. If you love any kind of fish seafood…try the salmon Wellington. Thanks for making our day the best ever!

By chance I discovered pink peppercorn seafood restaurant so I decided to give them a try and I’m glad I did. The food was excellent. Every dish was well executed and the portion sizes are very generous. Yes their entrees are on the higher price side but I had a lunch left over for the next day. We ordered the calamari and mussels appetizers to start and had the salmon Wellington and sable fish (special feature of the day) as our entrees. The calamari was fried crispy with a thin coating, but was still tender. The mussels were nicely flavoured and juicy. The broth was great for dipping your bread in. The salmon Wellington was cooked to a medium. The pasty was flakey and flavourful. The chef really got the timing of this dish down to a science, which is impressive. One thing I didn’t get was the sauce that came with it. It tasted like a sweeten browned butter concoction, which I find didn’t go well with the salmon. The sable fish was very tender, fatty and nicely seared. All the waiters were super friendly and chatty, which helps you relax and enjoy your meal. They were also attentive to your water glass and soft drink refills. The restaurant decor is very down to earth and very cozy. Definitely a good choice for dates as well as intimate family dinners. They have clean crispy table linens which I appreciate since not many restaurants in this city do them anymore. Overall we had a great time and will definitely go back again for dinner!

My husband and I were huge fans of the Cannery years ago and have always talked about how wonderful the food was. I stumbled on this restaurant when I searched for lobster oil and found out the former chef of the Cannery had opened Pink Peppercorn. We came in with high expectations and they did not disappoint! The service was phenomenal from the moment we walked in and the food was above and beyond what we expected. Portions were huge and so worth the price. I love the nostalgic feel of the nautical theme and was just overall impressed with our evening. We will absolutely be back again!
